  • That DVT would have looked better if they had painted it in a similar livery to the High Speed Trashcans.

  • @craigybus1 Or a shade of Blue & Grey, to match the Mk3's. LOL

  • @theamateurbasher The shape of the DVT just lends its self to the original HST livery..Painting it all over rail blue makes it look a bit bland.

  • 0:07 What train is that red one and in what livery

  • @ididi9 It's an ex Virgin Trains Driving Van Trailer (identical to the one seen at 0:35). Hope this helps.

  • Great Video, 5 Stars!

  • @60103Henry Thanks!

  • Strange seeing a DVT in BR blue no arrows applied to it though??

  • My guess is, they repainted that DVT to try and blend it in with the all-blue 86 and the BR Blue & Grey stock. Hasn't done much since the London KX to Doncaster Hull Trains working earlier last year - the last I heard was, the DVT was knocking around Wolverton works...

    Thanks for commenting Trainbuff2008.

  • Everytime I went to the ECML I always missed it! And by the time I was meant to get it, it failed! Ended up getting the Adelante but not a match for a West Coast pioneer, in more ways than one Dave!

  • This was only the second weekend of the three month diagram, and David Holden and I fancied recording the diagram while it lasted. Pity that 82115 is currently at Wolverton in storage, but hopefully the Cargo D Mk3's will continue to be used.

  • i saw 86101 in the sheds just next to the WCML aproching Warrington

i got a video of it and with 20 clips left on my camara still my camara softwere doesnt rester it

    but i will keep trying!

  • Cheers 60008vagos!

  • Nice! I only live 8 miles away and I still haven't got round to seeing it properly yet! :-(

  • Get it while you can mate, it won't be around for long. Thanks for commenting!

  • The DVT would benefit from the grey band to continue 2-thirds of the way down the bodyside. Still - it's excellent sight to see a Blue loco hauling matching mk3's again. Let's see it a Lime Street!

  • Indeed. BTW, the closest you're going to get to seeing an 86 at Liverpool Lime Street is Saturday 1st March, with the return of 86259 Les Ross, but with no DVT on the back. Cheers PrentonPimp!

  • nice liverey the dvt looks good

  • Cheers HSTHoward!

  • ok just letting u know i mite be going to donny this year

  • Cool. As you will see, Donny's a great place for freight and NXEC action!

  • yer i been there before about 5 times my grand parents live there

  • i been there 5 times my grand parents live there

  • Cool! Nice to have relations in the best places, LOL!

  • hehe yer!

  • Indeed, like the ones in the background as you will see at the end, LOL!

  • It looks a bit out of place with the B&G Mk3's, but as long as it's in BR Blue, it blends in a bit. Cheers hstscotsman!
