Education was and still is a most revered aspect of the Tamil value system. This has earned the Tamils the well deserved recognition it has received in all the countries where they reside today. Pukakaran has destroyed this foundation of the Tamil society that has been its source of strength, while giving tuition and London education for his children.

LTTE blackmailed Dr.Amirthalingams family to obtain the sum of £120,000 for their defence fund. It was later found out that this amount was never credited to the Tamil Collection.Instead it ended up in a Jersey bank account in the name of David Commins. Soon after the total balance in this account was transfered to New Zealand. Commins wife was a Jaffna Tamil whos father had close ties with LTTE. Commins now is a NZ National living in comforts of his genourous fellow Tamils! What a Lucky Man!
