Odysseus221 -your idea is very good on how this may work..
ybyainc - the longer you cannot learn from the experiences of others. the longer one remains stupid. It would take you a few years of spiritual study and practice to understand what Yogananda is about.
@ViralMessiah ...........How dare you ? You know nothing about Yogananda..... You will be forgiven by him though we know that...... you really are ignorant to make such a statement, clearly you know NOTHING about him, take the time to find out before making such ridulous Judgement ......guess you are viral after all...
@KidDynamite25 thats cool,I'm glad he'll forgive me,I however, would not forgive him,if he actually could control weather, and didn't use that ability to the benefit of mankind. so,with that said,I still hate this guy, either because he can,and won't help the people of the world without his amazing ability,or because he's bullshitted idiots like you into believing he has abilities at all.
This may not be a direct intension. It can be simply the intension of will not to get wet that manifests itself in stopping rain mystically. Anotherwords, the individual isn't willing anything. It just happens due to thought and the relationship with the spirit. Controlling elements in a person is more like sorcery. Miracles just happen around saints, correlated but not with the ego.
I am not impressed with personal shows of 'power' by any yogi.....even though I am of the kriya lineage through Yogananda I have never been impressed with 'magic'....whats the point......Do yall need 'miracles' to confirm your beliefs?
Guruji wrote about many miracles in the autobiography and it always inspires me to meditate deeper. If its not for you, dont watch it, simple! For others who are not so evolved as your good self, they may need to watch this for inspiration.. i know it will help me on the path.
This has nothing to do with 'magic' friend. We all posses this 'power'. And you being from Kriya lineage should know full well that this 'magic' is not magic at all, but a natural ability we posses within.
@PiscisAustrinus26 I understand that, thx....Just does'nt seem in line with 'modesty' that I would expect..Personal use of 'power' seems ego driven to me.....
The power of a yogi is amazing and to be able to stop the rain at will. This is one of the great powers acquired through the daily practice of kriya yoga meditation.
Thank you for sharing Oliver's story a direct disciple of Swami Yogananda
@suria49 As sane people try to develop a spiritual life, claims like this make it very difficult for us to proceed if we are going on the word of this man, as the likelihood of it being true are little more than 0%. I am tying to understand reality, and penetrate the gross aspects to find the sublime, subtle underlying reality, i do not benefit from being told to take mythical reality for literal or factual reality. To believe something like this without experiencing it is just stupid.
@ybyainc I'm a memeber of SRF (Yogananda's Organization) and, i have to agree with you! Believing without experiencing IS stupid. And, i think Yogananda would approve. He never told anyone to accept what He taught on blind faith, but only to practice what He taught, and, experience the Truth.
u all stupid.

Paramahansa Yogananda did things such as this only when there was a serious
purpose, such as strengthening ones faith and other possible reasons.
It is also possible the Mr Blacks health was a such state in that time that being soaked would effect his health,
This was a sort of private matter and was not done as a public show.
He knew how to work with natures greater laws.
As for bringing rain to Ethiopia, they are still learning a lessons!
There's more to this than skeptics imagine!

seems like a load of crap to me,if someone had that sort of power, how about going to ethiopia and making it START raining?

@rainallday You see it as ego driven because you project your own self onto others. There was no ego involved at all.

What is so sweet about it is not so much the miracle itself, which is of course amazing, but the words, "For you, Oliver..."
