  • Not bad for her age! :D

There is another video of her doing this piece

    And its Alot better

  • all the people that hate this are just jelous. She is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @FriendlyGeekClassics you probably WEREN'T doing this at 3 .... js

  • this. is. amazing.

  • Oh my God...it's hard to breath when you watch this!

  • she's ok. I was doing this when i was three, though.

  • Too fast not articulated and not understanding what she's playing. She's young though

  • She is very good but it is clear she is not there yet. She needs to play evenly. She can move her fingers but she can't move them in time. Metronomes weren't invented for just the untalented.

  • Can this girl compose though? Anyone can copy things that are already written....can she WRITE?

  • @GCD89 SHe has over 400 original compositions and is the youngest composer ever to play Carnegie Hall. Emily can compose off the cuff without transposing it to paper and immediately reconstruct the piece note for note without a single error. So, can she compose? That has been a given for years, we are just waiting for her to fly around the room after shes done! Im sure that will come. The scientists who have physically examined her have determined she has flawless aural tone.

  • @GCD89 Yes, she certainly can! Look up "Journey to my heart", "Ellen's Song", "The Love in Us", and "Thanks". She wrote those at the age of six, along with MANY more. "Out of Control", "Tomorrow's Wishes", "Joie", "23 Free", and a host of others were written at the age of seven. She has another CD, but many haven't been released. Look up "Emily Bear New Music Medley" and you'll see some of her more current work. :)

  • This ain't practice kid.. Its called NATURAL BORN TALENT

  • HO

    LEE

    SHHHHHH---

    IIIPS IN THE OCEAN!!!!

    daayum thats some fast fingers!!!!

  • she is my best friends cousin!!!!!! I met her!!!

  • She is not playing that fast. The video is sped up.

  • @ty2

Actually she is playing that fast.

I play this one as well. Good for impressing people when put on the spot. (i.e. My friend plays piano) I actually play it faster and cleaner (she flubs a few notes) but I'm not 7 years old with tiny hands. She is quite impressive.

  • WAAAAWWW !!!!!! °.°

  • myv88 is a hater.

  • I don't think she could be the "next Mozart". It is not touching as Mozart's songs. Although she can play very well. -_-

And I agree that there's no emotions or dinamics by playing this song. But she's just a kid having fun (I suppose).

  • Look, I've played piano for EIGHT YEARS and I'm only just now at the level of this little girl so unless she was playing piano as a little embryo in her mothers ovaries... this is pure talent!!!

    She is amazing <3

  • Hey! First of all, fantastic play!!!! But for the second, there are almost no emotions, no dynamics, I know, that Solfegio/Solfeggietto should be played in Allego, so that means fast, but in that fast playing, you HAVE to and MUST include emotions and proper dynamics.... I thing, that slowing down a little would help and please concentrate more on the dynamics :-) But as I said: Fantastic and fabulous play for a girl your age! Keep up the good work!!! (And please exuse my bad english)

  • I woudn't even be able to do that whit 4 arms o_o

  • Wooow! She's sooooo talented + Gifted She should become famous!!

  • wow! emily bear thats great

  • i ought to post a vid at some point to show what talent is

given i'm not as good as emily here or mozart or beethoven or bach but i am better than most of the retards on the internet... im thirteen and teach myself

  • cool.

  • wow Emily Bear!!!!ur such a amazing, great child i first watch your video th piano prodigy then i was so shocked that a child as young as me could do that then u even took a guesting in ellen...i was just so amzed at first i was so speechless keep up the good work and keep inspiring other children then stay simple.......... :)

  • my talent is piano and if it is why cant i play as good as her

  • Hey, she said she is just a girl who plays piano.. What is all the hype about?

Is it the 350+ songs she has composed? Maybe its being the youngest to perform at Carnegie Hall? The white house? China, Switzerland that she played?

The how many Orchestras that has backed her up?

Don't know...She is just a girl that plays the piano....

  • Kids at Moscow Conservatory would kick her ass

  • You all raging at Frozensky :DD

  • even if you have a great gift, you can't make it a talent if you don't open that gift, no one teaches you how to use that gift well (or if you don't teach yourself how to use that gift well)...

  • you are ALIEN. 0.0

  • LOL i was just mad to see Fronzsky85's comment.. but after looking at the comments... LOL all dedicated to him... haha! poor being...

  • I cannot stand those kids who play like machines, they never really feel what the music expresses. This is only notes... I'm not jealous but I think it's ridiculous to ask a kid to play music works he does not interpret himself.

  • @mugen491 i know what you mean and thats what i thought when i heard it. but shes still a kid. i think if you give her time she will learn how to express her emotions through music. right now its like shes just playing louder when it says "forte" on the sheets. but its understandable

  • o my

  • @Frozensky85 I go to school with Matt Savage at Berklee, and he's a savant. Outside of savants, EVERYONE has to have a teacher. With that said, even he is at Berklee, not off playing somewhere without a teacher.

  • @Frozensky85

Someone may have taught this girl how to play the piano, but no one can teach a person how to compose beautiful music. (and she did that all on her own)

Emily Bear is very lucky to have supportive (not demanding/skeptical) parents.

  • It sounds good here, but once you learn to play it, you start to notice how much her fingers slip at times. Still, it's very impressive for her age, and if you listen to her playing it now, she's perfect.

  • The piano sounds weird...probably just the recording.

  • talent+hard work=great performer

  • i can play that 10 times slower, cuz I taught it to myself she is amazing

  • Great interpretation, but she took it a bit too fast for my liking.

  • Emily Bear , what a talented and gifted young girl....she has a very promising bright future, composing her own music at the age of 6 wow thats just amazing and she plays from the heart nuff luv to her truely blessed xxx

  • oh, her cute little fingers :D so lovely <3

  • She just has a gift!! And she likes to practice without anyone telling her she must!! I think she plays the piano like other kids play with dolls and toys!! This is a very talented girl and it has nothing to do with iq!! I like her very much and i hope that when she gets older and boys become interresting to she still wants to play the piano!!! You always have to remember that it is a kid and kids change theyre minds !!

  • god she must also have an extraorinarly high IQ cause if u notice she is not playing with sheet music. and being able to memorize something like that is like woah! and at her age when her brain still has so much developing to do WOAH!

  • Bach and Mozart DEFINED their own genre's of music. They rose at a time where new ideas and styles were just emerging, because everything solely revolved around the Roman Catholic Church back in the day. So yes, there is little chance that Emily will revolutionize music as we know it, like Bach or Mozart. But there's a good chance she will be a fantastic composer in her adult years (not to mention, her childhood/teens)!!!

  • I can't believe how good she is! And so young. I hope she keeps at it. I think she will be popular. Some people don't realize that when Micheal Buble or Norah Jones started out, they didn't sing in the most popular style of music that was around. But, they stayed true to themselves, kept at it, and it worked out for them in the end. It is very possible that it will happen to her too.

  • @Frozensky85 if your definition of talent is not having a teacher, then no one has talent since NOBODY can teach themselves all the mechanics of music or how to hold a violin without a teacher. If you play with a piano and learn the notes, you still won't have amazing talent unless you have a teacher guiding your habits. Talent is a result of practice.

  • This is no talent it´s just practise, practise, practise... Talent is to play like mozart or bach WITHOUT music teacher

  • @Frozensky85

Actually, while Mozart's musical abilities were extrodinary, he did in fact have a music teacher. Mozart's father Leopold Mozart was Kapellemeister to the court orchestra of the Archbishop of Salzburg, a minor composer, and was Wolfgang's only music teacher in his early years. Wolfgang was also very well aquainted with a number of highly accomplished musicians most particularly Johann Christian Bach whom he and his family visted regularly.

  • @Cris925 Pro.

  • @Frozensky85

Also while there is of course such a thing as natural talent, all musicians need to work under an instructor so as to improve their technical abilities and to help prevent them from adapting bad habits.

  • @Frozensky85 Envy!!

  • @Frozensky85 who craped in your coco puffs gosh

  • @MsWatup34

LMAO. Although, it's not as if he could tell the difference.

  • @Frozensky85 You are aware that she has composed 350 songs to date, right? That may not land her in Mozart's league, possibly ever, but to say she lacks talent is to ignore the blindingly obvious

  • @Frozensky85 Put your AVERAGE 6 year old in front of a piano even WITH instruction and show me that. I've been playing my whole life and took lessons and practised at the age of 6 until my wrists hurt, but the average child cannot compose or play like at at the age of six, you muppet.

  • @Frozensky85 There is definitely such a thing as being born with a talent. Haven't you watched the news stories on this girl? She could play scales at two years old. Two year olds don't have the patience to sit down and practice, which is why most start when they are about *her* age. It's about practice, yes, but to be able to play like that at that young of an age takes a great amount of natural talent.

  • Frozensky85 you wouldn't know talent if it slapped ya in the face. Well this girl just soccer punched you in the face.

  • what are you talking about ?! Mozart and Bach had teachers ! Actually they were surrounded by musicians ! Like her, she was born is a family where she could hear and learn classical music. Of course she might be practising a lot, but she does have talent !

This is no talent it´s just practise, practise, practise... Talent is to play like mozart or bach WITHOUT music teacher

HE LEIDO COMENTARIOS DE GENTE FRACASADA PERO VOS TE LLEVAS EL PREMIO PELOTUD....O Y LA RECALCADISIMA CONCH....DE TU HERMANA

  • @Frozensky85

    fracasado !!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Frozensky85 No, you're mistaking talented and gifted. There is no question that this girl IS talented because the simple fact of the matter is that there are VERY FEW in the world who can play as skillfully as she, especially at such a young age. And let me remind you that she composes most of her own music. That CANNOT be taught, it comes from within, it is indeed a gift from her creator.

  • @Frozensky85 You clearly have not had any experience in playing musical instruments yourself. If you had, you would realize the difficulty involved, as well as the amount of time it takes a normal person to achieve such a level. At the time of this recording, she had been playing what, two years tops? Also, when it comes to musical theory and composing, that is an entirely different ballgame. Watch her other videos of things she's composed. She's truly talented and you're just jealous...

  • @tj5553 - Well said tj5553 - i studied musical theory and piano at s.f. conservatory of music @ 16 and i couldnt be at the level she is in 2 years time, it took me many years of practice and many good teachers. =) Yes Frozensky is an ignant to raw skill talent and to the intricate language of music.

  • @Frozensky85 LOL, what do you think talent achieves without practice? NOTHING. Name one talent in any industry anywhere in the world who DOESN'T practice. You sir, are a maroon.

  • @supanamu the lottery but i agree

  • @Frozensky85

I can't believe that somebody can tell this! Mozart was trained by his father. Everyone had а teacher.

  • @Frozensky85

the last video i saw of this girl she was 7 and had already written 120 some songs.... and its spelled Practice....

  • @iisuicidejaneii do yout hink you could have played like this with six years "just" with practice?!?! She does! THAT'S talent.

  • @iisuicidejaneii HAHAHA Thank you

  • @iisuicidejaneii actually in English english its spelled practise..

  • @Frozensky85 Wolfgang had a teacher...his father, also a composer...so you are wrong!

and talent is not skills which you obviously got by practicing but that ability to produce such amazing songs, compositions....

go write hating comments on rap videos you untalented one

  • @Frozensky85 so what you're telling me is they (youtube.com/watch?v=8MoEsz42fnw) will, eventually, be some greaaaaaaaaaat singer after a lot of practice, hum? I don't think so. Music is a gift and most of all need to have lessons to improve it. John Nash was a hell of an economist, but would he get there without having a math teacher somewhere in his life?

  • @Frozensky85

By all means, find a music teacher, practice, practice, practice, and let us hear how well you play this piece since it doesn't require any 'talent'.

  • @Frozensky85 Mozart DID have a music teacher! He started out playing piano very early, with his father and sister! He also played with other musicians when he grew older!! Read the book, gosh!

  • @Frozensky85 Lets see you move your fingers like that douche

  • @Frozensky85 You've seen kids play this way without taking any lessons?? Impressive!

As for practicing, yeah, well... There are many adults who have practiced waaay more than little Emily, and the music they make is nothing in comparison to hers.

So she's got no talent? Seriously?

  • @Frozensky85 she did.

  • @Frozensky85 - your jealous and frustrated because you're only great at playing air guitar and piano and couldn't pass the 1st level of rockband

  • @Frozensky85 She actually plays like Mozart she started composing songs since she was 3 years old. And could you actually play that Solfeggieto, yourself???

  • @Frozensky85 i ought to post a vid at some point to show what talent is

given i'm not as good as emily here or mozart or beethoven or bach but i am better than most of the retards on the internet... im thirteen and teach myself

  • @Frozensky85 This IS talent, joy, genius, art, practise and - love. You should remember that young Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart had his quite severe father Leopold teaching him and bringing him in front of audiences at many European courts. Regarding Johann Sebastian Bach, you're right, though, that he taught himself the piano on his own. But you should know that Bach was not widely known when he was alive. Telemann was much more appreciated at that time... So: This IS talent. A pure joy to all.

  • @Frozensky85 People don't just "play like... bach"! On the other hand one doesn't have to be able to improvise fugues and whatnot to play this without losing ALL MUSICALITY for the sake of a child talent circus act. She's probably well on her way to becoming a great musician but that was not something that should have been performed at that tempo with her current skill.

  • @Frozensky85 there is natural talent. the teachers harness it and focus it to make it more intense

  • @Frozensky85 This kid has written about 350 *original* pieces of music. She IS a Mozart-level genius on the piano. Let's see how she does with full orchestra stuff when she gets past 10 years old... :P

Recognize talent when you see it, sheesh!

  • @Frozensky85 To play like Bach or Mozart WItHOUT music teacher??? What nonsense......Do you forgot mozart father, who wrote piana books for his chidren???? He was a famous musician and produce the "Wunderkind" Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who must give concert all over europe,. Or the father of Bach? He also was a teacher for his son. To play like this Children, you must have talent, someone who recognize this talent, a very good teacher and thousand of hours to practise and the love for music.

  • @Frozensky85 remind that, Mozart's father, who was a great musician, was he's teacher, he groe with music... without knowledge you wouldn't never develop a talent, unless you train every day or have the biologic thing to do it...and yet, after you got the gift, you must have of a teacher to tell you the unseen moves that take good into the Best!!

  • @Frozensky85 Are you kidding me? LMAO Stfu idiot, SHE IS SO FREAKIN TALENTED!

  • @Frozensky85 mozart and bach studied and practised and you dont think they didnt have a music teacher and by the way can you play like that

  • @Frozensky85

Practice, itself is another gift of TALENT..I cant just believe that ..talent...and practice they exist together...If she does not practise..she wont. What about Mozart he practised for hours and hours...

  • @Frozensky85 You realize that Mozart and Bach both had music teachers? When you say something like that, you just make yourself look like a profound idiot. Maybe do some research before you make such an off handed and idiotic comment.

  • @Frozensky85 to play like this takes practice, but being able to create her own songs takes talent.

  • @Frozensky85 even mozart, bach, beethoven, hyden and many others had music teachers.... when they started but then of course they became better than their teachers

  • @Frozensky85 actually Mozart's father was a professional piano composer and instructor who forced Mozart to practice hours and hours a day from the time he was two years old. So you might want to look into it, lest you sound retarded again.

  • @Frozensky85 Practise is essential regardless of talent or no talent. Might i add, mozart started composing at the age of 5, and Emily bear started composing at the age of 5 (maybe earlier). Mozart also studied with the most talented instrustors of his time, so did Emily Bear. Also, how do you know the relationship between Bear and her music instructors? Maybe she learned how to play Bach, Mozart, Chopin .... on her own. Teachers are an aid to talented individuals, they can't produce talent.

  • @Frozensky85 Maybe you should practice your spelling and grammer -_-

  • @Frozensky85, but he is no teacher in first time!

  • @Frozensky85 You are an idiot straight up. I have 40 years devoted to music and its disciplines, and practice is one of those disciplines, and is a forced action not an auto-response. This girl can compose a piece without putting it to paper, and immediately reconstruct it note for note without an error. She has over 400 original compositions and is the youngest composer ever to perform at Carnegie. In your case,,,"it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt."

  • @Frozensky85 I think that mozart practised more than you can ever imagine. /Facepalm.

  • i personaly think she is the most amazing girl ive ever seen i showed this to my piano teacher and he said that if he could ever play that good he'd want to live forever

  • For those of you who say that this is too fast, the speed is prestissimo. This is the absolute fastest speed that you can play. So it's not too fast!

  • I can play this...but not this quickly!

  • Oh my! This makes me feel like a crappy piano player haha

  • @19kate98 i'm with you!

  • Dam

  • she is awsome

  • this is so fast.

  • sick

  • she is very lovely girl and she plays piano very very well!!!It´s nice

  • Does anyone else think that the piano sounds kind of weird?

  • Hum ... I like the people who are saying "that's bullshit !!" , (I don't think so ! She is very talentuous )

Then , I think, It's a good think(critism) for her because, when you are listening to a child we say "She is a child, she will progress" , in that case it seem that she is considered as any one else wich has playing piano for years at a high level !!

She will be very very great !! (I'm expecting more about jazz...)

    Apologize my mistakes (french) .

  • Emmy your hands are just dancing on the keys, such talent is rarely seen in one so young, you are AMAZING!!! Best of luck to you always!

  • talk about fast

  • People like this make me wanna kill myself. I can't imagine how much better she'll be when she's older- is it even POSSIBLE to be better than she already is?!?!?

  • I really doubt Emily has any chance of being the next Mozart. And not for lack of talent, but classical music isn't the only kind of music around anymore. People generally listen to... not classical music. So she'll be forgotten with her fans, which is a shame really, but it's not like any one else will care, which is sort of my point.

  • @hempropesmoker

Actually, if you've heard any of her own compositions, then you would know that Emily's personal style is much more in the New Age and jazz genres. Furthermore while traditional classical music may not be particularly popular nowadays, many classical artists are beginning to shift their focus' to more contemporary styles of classical music. Which means that while classical music will probably not sound as it once did in the past, it will never completely go out of style.

  • @Cris925 Well said. Classical music is a different form of sound. While new music may come and go grasping the interests of the masses, it is this calming, original genre that will forever captivate us all, in it's perpetual beauty.

  • Im 32 years old, i listen to a lot of different music, classic music for 50%. i don't think she will be forgotten... and for the once who don't like so much classic..... you should hear her play Jazz.

she's a big talent to me

  • @hempropesmoker I somewhat agree with you, but a talent is a talent and I hope it'll find one way or another to surface. I'm just guessing, but it seems talented people usually don't have problem breaking what's popular. The Beatles, Elvis, Jacko (the young one), etc - they all broke what was popular back then.

As long as she's brought up well, I'm sure everything will be fine. Maybe not Miley Cyrus or Lady Gaga (pop star), but a very fine musician, an elite one.

  • @kistajk

How in the hell can you you compare Emily Bear to Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga, even at 8 yrs old her talent far surpasses those two idiots. Furthermore, I would definitely never use the word talent and Lady Gaga in the same sentence. Having talent is so far beyond the rage of that woman's abilities, that the only prospects she has in the future are possibly getting gigs in Vegas.

  • @Cris925 I picked those two because they're somewhat popular, not because they're talented or amazing (I didn't use the word talent in the same sentence as those two, read again). What I was saying is, in terms of popularity, maybe Emily Bear won't be as popular as those pop stars, but it's fine because she'll be a fine musician, a class higher than mainstream divas.

  • @hempropesmoker I am brazilian. I am impressed! She is beautiful and perfect! I wanna daughter like Emily.

Já adicionei todos os videos dela! Apaixonei me! Linda linda e precisa! Sucesso menininha! Você ainda vai ganhar mais do que os espaços na televisão! Grande beijo!

  • @hempropesmoker So you are saying, that even though we as a society spend billions of dollars a year going to movies that have composers like Hans Zimmer and John Williams creating masterpieces of classical music that is drilled into your mind right away. Memorable, classical tunes. No one listens to classical huh? You would be surprised if you actually knew, which you obviously don't

  • @hempropesmoker Yes, I agree with you, and I hate that, people think classical music is lame nowadays, but they forget that without it, there just wouldn't be any kind of music...

  • 40 people consider themselves as gods, supreme over anything..

  • her hands are flyin'!!!!!!!

  • the 40 people who don't like this are deaf...

  • omg i wish i can doo that!!

  • she is simply amazing. i watched another youtube clip of an ADULT playing this song, and emily plays it so much faster and better. shes so talented.

  • thats amazing!!!!!! that is amazing!!!!!!!! i can`t stop watching it!

  • Even I can't play that fast. Great Talent

  • the 40 people can go stab themselves with a knife because they wouldn't know talent if it hit them right in the face.

  • AWSOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE wow beautiful talent!!

  • she is great at playing the piano

  • she is great

  • All I can say is wow, wow, wow

  • she is amazing!

    *o*

  • That playing position looks pretty awkward; I'm sure it would be more comfortable if she was closer to the piano and the chair was higher.

  • WAOH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Holy Swiss CHEESE!

  • i would LOVE to hear her play requiem for a dream

  • @TheGoldenlegend1 OMG YES!

  • i love the way she plays... such a talented girl... i'm 12 but neither can i play a piano

    =(

  • Everyone has talent -- not always as extraordinary as Emily Bear -- but it's definitely there in all of us.

  • Prodigy! Emil Bear everyone she is soooooooooo talent its innate for her <3

  • She's too young to play such songs...I mean when we are so young, performance shouldn't be a goal. It naturally comes after, that's why I dislike this video: I would prefere to see her playing with her friends, more than performing Solfeggietto as some old players do...

  • @bluriveline But what if she truly enjoys playing the piano? Everyone has hobbies. And who's to say that she has no friends? Maybe she does. Leave that up to her. It's her life, and she should be able to decide how to spend it.

  • @bluriveline Nobody really cares what you think or how you perceive she should be living her life. It's know-it-all old farts like you that tinge a spectacular, young, incredibly talented ladies dreams and songs that naturally flow from her heart, mind and soul. It sounds as though your synapse failures will soon be such that checking into an old folks home may be your only remaining task. Perhaps you could take up Bingo or knitting.....

  • 39 people can't play piano XD

  • @Prometheus1st okay oh mighty and great philosopherobelojimbo! all hail prometheus the all mighty philosophoricaly talented GOD!

  • did she write this?? its amazing :)

  • This young lady is a pure delight. I've seen her previously playing jazz but didn't know she played classical so proficiently too. It's great that she's getting a well rounded piano education. Bet she's a great student in school too. Love ya Emily!

  • the next mozart? i think not.

  • She is absolutely amazing. I learned Solfeggietto at age 10 and I thought that was an accomplishment. This makes me question my years of piano training. What a gift!

  • WOW!!!! This little girl is great!!!! ***** 5stars! Well out with the Playstation.. im getting my kids a Piano. lol

  • INCREDIBLE

  • Finally!! Someone who isn't Japanese/Chinese who can play piano very well at a young age. And it comes from talent, not just parents forcing piano on kids!! So well done Emily!!!

  • perfect legatto :O

that is so hard getting that clearness :O

  • how do 38 people not like this

  • @muffintops87

Actually, there are technically more than 38, but their comments were extremely vile so I blocked them. Besides, I put this up because I thought she was extremely talented and adorable. As far as what anyone else thinks about her, I could care less. I only allow comments to be posted on here if they are in some way constructive, irregardless of the person'' criticisms.

  • @muffintops87

Constructive comment: "Irregardless" is not a word. Use "regardless"

  • @mrcasey69

Actually, while irregardless is not the "standard" usage of the word regardless, it is a word nonetheless. Irregardless is a blend of the words irrespective and regardless. Irrespective-meaning, disregard or headless-and the meaning of regardless is in spite of, or anyway.
