"i don't know any arena"...as in, through my experiences, being at games, knowing about NHL arenas, whatever, i don't know of banners obstructing your views...the only arena i could see this even being plausible is at the bell centre in montreal where the press box is literally hanging off the ceiling...there is no other arena which seats people up at the ceiling where it would be physically possible for banners to hang down and obstruct your view...btw, this is getting to be really dumb...

why would arenas be built with seats that have obstructed views by banners? it is something that is so easily avoidable, no banners would be hung so that people could not see around them from certain rows...do you actually think that some arena would just hang a piece of cloth in the way of spectators "just because" some player retired or the team won a championship? those things are considered when arenas are designed and when banners are hung...just fucking think about it.
