Alex I have a tip, when you lower the top stop halfway. Fold the window down the middle with your hand, that way the window folds neatly away. This process helps to avoid kinks from forming on the plastic. The "kinks" in the plastic window will harden and those areas become brittle. You increase the life of the plastic window just by helping it to fold properly when you lower the top. Cool 986 video.

yeah a boxster makes for a nice looking EV and they can be gotten cheap too and especially fun if quicker than the original.

I'm a bit concerned by guys with black bands around their wrists though. strikes me as a sign that they have dark issues.

using a microphone on the people of course results in better recording of their voice. a good directional mike can also work if looking directly at a person.

@lafleurplumeria Boxsters aren't really polluters. I regularly got high 20s for mpg. Compare that with an F-150, one of the best selling cars in the US.

@crazyyella You need to realize that even high 60's mpg is a polluter. They are designed to save money spent on gas. Gas will continue to rise. High octane gas is most expensive and they go with high performance engines. Accept reality. EV's are the future.

$50k? that is overpriced, you can buy a porsche boxster body/sus/ for $3k, then drop an electric engine for $4,500, batteries controller ect, and lets add install at $5k, well after its all said and done maybe at the highest $25,000. Thats half the price, I do not like people that take advantage of this "rare" ev car, so they feel they are worth more but in reality that is way overpriced, but you know they don't make money by helping you save any, and yeah a typical boxster 987 is $8k-25k

im not an electric car enthusiast, but i am an RC enthusiast and know a lot about batteries, the theory is very simple. You probably dont know much about anything so i'll explain. 150 miles per charge is definitely possible and you can go even higher than that if you use LiFePo battery packs. An energy reclamation system will boost the range even more. Highways speeds are not an issue as the cells can be switched into parallel mode at high speed to take advantage of increased Ah (amp hours).
