  • We moved to Montreal in September from a house at the top of Tillicum Rd SW. What a sweet little reminder of ... last year.

Even though it's as hilly as Seattle Montreal has serious snow management chops. Here it would be possible to ski down from Mount Royal to our place if the small army of snow removers and salters didn't clear things up so fast.

  • Excellent fun, thank you!

  • wouldn't have minded seeing you cross calif and fauntleroy. you could do that in fast frame slipping the skis on and off. but fun to watch regardless :)

  • @dewndsurf Sorry that I edited that out - I actually didn't take the skis off, I just poled across. Fauntleroy was better than california but there was totally enough snow on each and zero traffic.

  • right on. what a way to make an epic day

  • Loved the music. It was completely in synch with the action on the video and it supported the mood as well. Nice going!

  • Very cool skiing but that music is godawful. Nonetheless, was fun to watch. :)

  • dude you have terrible taste in music. couldnt handle it....

  • caught this video on facebook...I'm in Tacoma right now....had to pass it on....great job with the video!!! :)

  • childhood memory flashback...106th and marine view drive down to fauntleroy ferry dock in the late 1960's on my best friends' dads' old skis. you made my day!

  • Very cool!

  • Good video, man.

  • Good video, man.

  • Nice Job. Good Music too..

  • What kind of skis are those? Mine broke (literally) and I am in the market for new ones.

  • @natenkyra atomic access 11-12 with fritschi bindings

  • Great vid but needs different music!

  • Dood that looks so fucking awesome and it make me want to move to Seattle and try that shit up xD

  • Very cool! I want to move to Seattle soon so I better learn how to ski or buy a jeep for this type of weather lol. Great job!

  • Damn the rest, shred the northwest!

  • Wow. I really wasn't expecting the main character to drown at the end! ;-)

But seriously, this is cool - how long did the trip actually take?

  • @xmltrainer the downhill part was a little bit less than six minutes - i edited out a couple of flatter parts.Total trip was about an hour but that included stops for fiddling with the camera.

  • Great video. Well done!

  • The phrase "Emerald city, emerald city... we love it, we love it!" keeps playing in my head, and i love it! :) Great video! I watched it a dozen times :)

  • The only thing that would make this vid better is if you were to add Street Sign annotations through the duration.

  • @QuilEkras I'm totally doing that right now! Thanks for the suggestion!

  • @QuilEkras did it - thanks for the idea!

  • This just makes me happy

  • Brilliant! Love the car dodging!

  • This is great, you went by my son's school. I"m sending to all my East Coast friends to explain why cars and drivers don't do well in Snow....i mean if you can ski, then it is a little too hilly for cars.

  • sweet

  • Great vid! I saw you out ripping yesterday. Nice work.

  • wow, that is awesome! I want to do that so bad.

    Way to go!

  • @autobotepo I'll organize a crew next time!

  • Wonderful! Great choice of song too.

  • Amazing video: definitely shared with my Seattle friends! Would love to know what roads you were on, maybe it would help me relate to the video more.

  • @girlinseattle Started at the water towers at Myrtle Reservoir Park (?) but the first down hill spot is at 36th Ave SW/Othello in west seattle... Followed Othello all the way down until Lincoln Park Way.

  • Classic!!! I wish I would have thought of that... Arbor Heights to the Ferry...

  • That was great!!!

Though, I bet getting back home was a b!tch, LOL!

  • @Rachel1663 It was pretty easy going actually - climbing skins made it easier than walking straight up I'm sure!

  • Awesome video! How did you get back home? Did you ski back uphill?

  • @ajairlines climbing skins, so yes technically I did!

  • I saw you fixing your ski's yesterday out in front of my house and wondered what you were doing. Then I saw the video and went - Hey, that's my neighborhood!

  • i want your Sonics shirt. . .and your skis!

  • @iitalix it's actually a west seattle shirt - I bought it at seattle logo pro in west seattle. I love those skis... I did the whole thing without putting an edge in the snow/pavement to keep them fresh!

  • @amnesiakdotcom sweet. looks like the throwback logo when Seattle had a bball team! dope video! i wonder why this hasn't "gone viral" yet!

  • haha cool!

  • Awesome!
