Among all the African serpents, the black mamba are the most notorious， just like that of the Asiatic king cobra, American lancehead...but these snakes are probably misunderstood by humans as they are not evil which bite only when provocation is continued.

Every time they show a Black Mamba they play the scary music and only show the snake when it's agitated instead of showing its normal behavour.

@m14closerangeSniper Snakes lost their legs mainly because they started out as small burrowing reptiles where legs would be a hinderence. When they emerged above ground, they developed effecient forms of locomotion without the need of limbs. This is evolution not the "Devil". The Black Mamba will aggressively defend itself if it feels threatened and yes it should be respected and left alone but a hungry rogue lion will more likely attack you whether you give it space or not.

Very cool! I have a lot of snake videos from Thailand here - shooting as I find them. The other night one was on my motorbike at midnight as I was going to lock it up. It was a Green Cat Snake about 1.7meters long (5 ft) and really awesome snake. As I took photos (too dark for vids) it tried to get through the window of my neighbors house... keep your screens in good condition in Thailand!
