Was I the only one shouting 'ZAI SCOUT YOUR DAMN BASE!'? Seriously, I don't think he looked for a proxy Pylon in his main in the early game. He's really lucky the Protoss didn't put a pylon behind the smoke or something, especially considering he lost track of where that first probe went. Aside from that, a pretty good game.

in the late game once i went against protoss and ultras are pretty effective on high templars plus they do extra damage on archons warping. when in doubt go hive tech, broodlords would get raped but ultras. a more micro intensive and probably smarter technique would be infestors, mc +fungal growth can be rape. think about it fungal growth mc a templar and storm his own army

Here is some feedback for you zai. You need to focus on your macro. You are staring at the battle way too much. When the battle happens go back and and macro. As soon as the battle happens you are focusing all your attention on the battle when you should be macroing or expanding. Watch the day9 video from mlg dalas where day9 coaches djwheat it will help with what you should be staring at while you play.

1. Your creep spread needs work. Your army reinforces that much faster when you have a creep highway. 2. You don't have to rally your hatcheries to rally reinforcements. When you select larvae and make units, you can rally them to any position on the map. 3. You played almost the entire game blind. You just got lucky going mass roach against his stalker/HT combo. You should put your units to your control group when you morph the larvea. Trying to find them after they hatch and group them takes away from productive APM. If you don't end up morphing all the larvea you select then shift click them out before grouping.

Well, Zai, you need to learn your hotkeys for upgrades and burrow. Instead of clicking, highlight the icon to find the hotkey and then hit the hotkey so that you learn it, ala Day 9. Also, always put an ovi over that smoged out part of your base to spot drops. You already know the other stuff.

The miss rally at the beginning is common among Zerg. Happens to Psy and it happened to Idra a few times. Happens to me too even when i never changed it. I think it's a bug cause your hatch will be set to your battle and they will still go to an older rally point. Pisses me off.

counter to temps would be to go roach heavy with burrow, so they just heal up after battles... and temps are so expensive, they're not gonna have many colo, if any at all, or any gas heavy units.
