M-audio Keystation pro 88+linux+Zynaddsubfx+qsynth DEMO

yes, you will also need to connect it to a sound generator such as a pc or a sound module. The midi implementation of the keystation pro is probably the best out there. you do layers and splits. the knobs are potentiometers rather than rotary encoders, which may or may not be to your liking. the action of the keyboard is great if you have strong fingers and like playing the piano. for me its almost perfect.

@saccher If its hooked up to a computer and you have some decent software, then yes.. If you want to take a high performance laptop on stage. Bearing in mind this keyboard has no sounds inside of it.

OK I just got an M-Audio Axiom 49. I got it playing through zynaddsubfx but I can't change the instrument or anything. Is there another program involved? I am new to this stuff, obviously, but have looked into rosegarden. Can the keyboard change the instrument that zynaddsubfx plays?

No. But, there are more instruments online that I like to use. Just search "zynaddsubfx instruments" on google and you should find some. Find the result that has the folders. Download the .zip file, and there are TONS in there. To change, go to file>open new parameters, navigate to the .xmz file, and double click it. Then you can play that new instrument!!!

Realmente el numpad se puede sincronizar perfectamente con linux. Pero para usar la linea de botones de presets he tenido que hacer un pequeño programa que interpretase esas señales midi para cambiar de canal.
