hahahahaha AHAHAHA im going to bet the robarb!!!!!!!! she pulls out like a big ax. ROFL xD and i thought my grandma was scarry with her cookin. xD haha. *note any mist spelled words is cuse i can stop rofl'in* hahaha
Cool! this is nice :D I see what'ya mean u gotta use what u have, sometimesI think people are more worried of how ur packaging looks rather than worrying about something more important and thats storing ur food in whatever way u can.
This brought back the best memories of my dad making homemade syrup when i was a kid. Although he made his with maple and butter flavored extracts. Boy was that good! now I have to make some!! Thanks so much for posting that. And I love that the pan you used is identical to the one I have, which belonged to my mom.
I'm definately trying this.Sounds much better then store bought and the varieties to come up with....YUM! Subscribing as well to see what else you have up your sleeves :o)
I love these videos. I'm going ot try making my won surip, but the fruit will be store bought. I'll make a small batch first like 2 cups sugar and 1 cup water. Do you have any pancake or waffle recipies?
Well, I made a whole batch of pancakes and waffles for the freezer the other day and I was thinking that it would make a good video. I made plain, blueberry and raspberry at the time. You know that I don't use recipes much, right? I would just have to show you. But, it is pretty cool to do. I can also get apple cinnamon and banana nut flavored pancakes with this little trick of mine. I will try to get to that again soon.
LOL! It isn't just cooking. I am really probably the cheapest person on earth. BUT, I do like my comforts so I live very well with very little in resources.
I think I need to add a bit more variety to the videos because I can go on and on about this kind of thing forever.
Try tart apples, then. You can drain the juice for syrup and add cinnamon, clove and brown sugar to the apple mush. Just use your imagination and have fun. Mistakes don't cost much.
I really love these 'living on the cheap and easy' videos! I really hope you continue to make them. VERY cool, ssanf!!! Rhubarb is one of my weaknesses, I'll have to try it! Thanks again!!
Yes, I do plan to add to my "Living on the Cheap and Easy" series. My mother taught me a lot of the things people did to get by during the depression and the way things are going, I think I should pass it on while I am here and able. That will certainly include some tutorials. I am glad that you enjoyed this. Sort of makes it worth doing.
Thank you. I will, then. I have sort of been looking for a direction for my channel.
I am very interested in survivalist, urban homesteading and self-sufficiency among many other things.
I will probably demonstrate how to cut a whole chicken into serving size pieces for nicanicabad. It used to be that everyone knew how to do that because everyone had a chicken coop in the back yard. Now, no one knows how to do it. If you are a vegetarian, just skip that one.
I did go and ask a chicken guy to show me how to kill-but still unsure of butchering-though I'd done it years ago in Holland. When you kill, do you tuck both wings and the tail in with the legs? See that surprised me--hadn't thought of that. If you send me an email-I'll send photos of the my 'line' and all the strangeness. Many sizes too.
I stumbled across this looking for a syrup recipe. you are just the cutest thing! NEVER be beat by rhubarb! Thanks for the video!

But, first I have to get to the store and buy a whole chicken to show how to cut it up. I am making too many promises.
