  • So by swinging heavy as hell clubs I'd eventually obtain the strength to tear those cards and break concrete?

  • Persians/Indians they are the same people. The only separation is caused by ego.

  • cool .. these clubs are called "Mughdar" in India :D

  • @wolfo

Well you must be talking about persian meels... but if indeed persian brought it here to india how is it that these clubs are mentioned in ancient indian texts and pictures???????? way long before persian empire came to be..... What you are saying would be like saying persians taught indians wresting when wrestling was there in india way before persians made contact with india. The only thing that happened was exchange of knowledge and not someone teaching other or gave them something

  • That looks awesome. I've always been fascinated with these kinds of weights training ,have you try Nabard log training ?

  • I thought the clubs came from india.

  • Wolfs Law. if you want to break a rock get a hammer

  • I remember the Iron Sheak would swing those clubs around before his match, quite easilly, and then give them to his opponent to see how he does. The guy would nearly fall over LOL.

  • @lavarat2 It's quite amusing how you call someone an idiot, then proceed to make an extremely elementary and common grammatical mistake.

  • thats one big-ass rolling pin

  • So basically, if someone's skull gets in the way, it's wack! Outta there! :=)

  • Indian clubs went from India to Persia and not otherway

  • Hell no! Why would I want to keep buying packs of cards just to tear them up, or be smashing the house down? I'd make myself homeless.

  • No disrespect to you lavarat, but even though that arsehole esox180 was talking smack doesn't mean you have to reward him with talking smack back :P but awesome video, i to do clubbells but the modern version pioneered by Master Coach Scott Sonnon. I also do his intu-flow and flowfit programs.

  • great video pal...but it's little uneasy to see such stuff being advertised.According to pehelwani routine, club swinging starts after one has done at least 5 sets of DANDS{HINDU PUSHUPS}.there are two variants, use two 8kg clubs alternatively for three rounds first and then 18kg club with both hands for two rounds.plus it is done thrice a week and not more then that,so that muscles dont suffer a fatigue or trauma.

  • the last part...the INDIAN swinging...is one of the BEST strength exercises ever!!

  • India was not under Persia's control back then. LOL where did you read that ... a Persian textbook?

  • Thanks for the info. Franco Behring

  • I tore my tricep muscles doing this.

It was my fault because I didin't warm up properly.

Has anybody had any injuries doing this move?

I just hope I can regain full strength soon.

  • It's good to see someone doing it properly. Most people you see these days drag the jori over their shoulders. That's not the name of the game.

  • But that's iranian style.

  • Where can I get these heavy meels?

I emailed revolutionclub but they don't reply at all.

Does anybody know where to get these iranian style clubs?

  • eBay

  • You might try Huffaker Woodworking in Crawfordsville, IN. If you want a set of 30# clubs it is going to be expensive. I have a couple of pictures on Facebook (Jack Stanton) showing several clubs made by Huffaker Woodworking. They are the 4, 15, 18, & 22.5 pound clubs. I hope the helps.

  • Thanks for information!

  • wow i love that old scholl training i got that one from master GOTCH!!!! R.I.P

  • this sport goes back to Ancient Persia

    (Parthia era)

its a nearly 2 thousand years old sport

  • u r wrong, it goes 3500 years old. of mahabharata era, which is called malla yudh,, in india..

  • India was under Persias control back then >_> so if you think about it it's originally Persian

  • ohh, think about dis, persia is under indians control then

  • @WolfoX87 WTF, where do u get ur history lessons from, fanboy?? India under Persia's control, ha ha ha ha!! Cyrus II couldn't even conquer the western most province of what was India back then. forget about the rest. Go & read some real history first, not the ones from ur Persian (read Iranian) textbooks !!

  • @adityabose26 I've read my stuff, seen the old books and maps. And as you mentioned IRANIAN textbooks, that just tells a lot about your knowledge of Irans History. and "fanboy" ;) I'm studying in a university where they specialize in history and archaeology.

  • i know, and whats most fascinating about it is the power you get in your wrist!!

  • Good job!

  • how heavy are those club bell? Where do you get them?

  • I believe these clubs were made by Revolution Clubs and are 30#.

  • @jstantoni No, they were not. This is a common style of Meel. I have not heard of this Revolution company. I actually inherited these clubs from my wrestling coach who was from Iran.

  • Damn man, you're very strong been looking for this videos thanks for posting them.

  • you know its easy to critisize people if your hiding behind your pc and your not the one doing all what he does yeah his old but can you rip a deck of cards in half or can you carry those things that he carries and fyi the basement that your living in he can tear it apart with those hands i agree with you lavarat i met this guy in person and i just hate people like that his really is a cool guy maybe he can bend that guy in half like he did with a 6 inch heavy duty nail

  • someone need to hit you with the club !

  • exactly

  • wnonrg!!!

  • and i would want to tear up cards why?

  • its not just tearing up cards dude (party trick?) if u can do that u would also b able to do like 2 finger push ups, poke someone hard enough as if they were getting stabbed, choke a 300 pound russian named vladikov with one hand. trust me it comes with many perks

  • i tried converting a couple of dumbells into a club and swinging them around. wow its some workout. it gave my forearms and shoulders hell.

  • Crap those are some monster clubs must be 30 -40 lbs!

  • Please!!! Tell me where you got those clubs!

  • Jack LaLanne is 93 and works out two hours every morning of his life, so that is "ageless."

  • Holly Molly!!

  • the video is really good and helpful in terms of explaining the techniques. I'm glad "Army" did this after posting up explainations about making cheap and easy versions of the Gada and Meel. especially with the included breathing section. really really informative.

  • Looks good!

  • Hell yeah!! Awesome vid, will definately check out your site.

  • Thanks. We has to switch servers and will have the new site up this weekend.

  • how heavy are those clubs?

  • 30lb clubs.

  • 30lb clubs one handed is no joke, thats serious strength!

  • @lavarat2: where can you buy clubs like these?

  • One tip so you're head dosn't explode! Breath in threw the nose and out threw the mouth. Breathing is the most improtant part in working out it give oxygen to you're brain muscle so they can function propley, so don't not breather.

  • Geez man, holding the breathe for short periods is fine, it increases your tension. The things he's doing are short demonstrations of strength. Don't tell him how to breath unless you can also do them, without holding breath.

  • the last thing u did ..was iranian national sport, became wrestling...2500 years ago

  • In the past few years I have done a ton of training with the clubs, while in Socal I had the great honor to train with Army, and what an education he gave me in clubs, it was the first time i got to use the wood clubs and they are the best. If you have any desire to take your training to the next level Army is the man to see. Thanks for all the help and I look forward to sharing training ideas with you.

    Coach Jim Massaro

  • Just started swinging the clubs. Where can I get wooden ones like these? I like your form.

  • I've heard about people ripping a deck of cards but I've never seen it done. Amazing! Thanks for sending the video.

    Lisa Shaffer

  • The toughest and strongest man I know. He's forgotten more about martial arts and has been in more street fights than Chuck Norris...yes folks...Chuck Norris! Now he's showcasing his skills for the public...everyone step back-he takes very large steps!!!!

    Drew Price

  • good job army. thanks for sharing. :)!!!

  • you realize if you ever put a head lock on anybody you could crush their skull.and i am glad to say i am your friend with much respect billy wicks

  • I think the headlock actually touches the neck, you could hurt the neck, but not the skull itself.

  • old time wrestlers did the headlock differently it was used to crush the cheekbone. so yes it does hurt the skull when done in the appropriate way.

  • Great job Army. Looking forward to training with you much more.
