Wow, finally people in the media are talking about these issues seriously!!! If Americans can't see the obvious hypocrisy and illegality of their actions, and are unable to uphold their own rule of law then then i'm afraid they will have to be made accountable by an objective outside power or if not we should place sanctions on America until their fascist regime is brought in line with the rule of law and democracy.
Other crimes against humanity against the Geneva Convention: bombing refugees, red cross shelters, buming children, burning them a live with white phosphorous, cluster bombs, even sold to isreal against people without weapons, money grubbing vermin in suits, total embarrassement to the human race.

To them, it's simply a Legal form of (enhanced) interrogation. Wondering, if he were to be awoken every 3 hours for 2 hours of questioning - over and over, for 5 to 7 days (where the 3-hour periods found him in a small cell, alternately freezing, then weltering in heat, and where music was always blasting at extreme levels - accompanied by sledge hammers banging on the walls), would it also be Legal? Under those conditions, would he be willing to confess - to Anything and Everything?

5*. So much mounting evidence isn't there, sad, very sad.
Torture is torture no matter how you look at it. War crimes YES. Guilty as charged. Unfortunately Bush and Cheney will probably never be charged and end up as correspondents on Fox news like their buddy Karl Rove. Note: That doesnt mean we shouldnt try. Sitting back and doing nothing is not the answer. Thanks for posting this !! It is important !!
It all depends on what "is" is. Ie you say torture. Bush & company say advanced interrogation techniques. Karma will come back to them. War criminals ...yes.
I hope - for america- that this leads to those accused of being held accountable. Removal of the rights of prisoners works BOTH ways. The red cross is there to remind us that there is international agreement, and it must remain so. End of story.
John McCain is like Bush, John McCain said he answers to the people but he is deaf to the people's voice in ther opinions of the war..he like bush doesnt think the american tax payers opinions matter when it comes to making descions involving the war...
Our entire (core) history has been sullied in shame by a small group of neocon extremists who came to power in what millions see as a hidden coup (Diebold, etc.). Hopefully, most of the world understands that, and does not blame all of us.
Windharps, I wouldn't travel in certain countries on that hope because most of the world has never heard of election fraud. Only way to save face is to send Bush, Clinton, Blair and Howard to Iraq to face war crimes. I have no compassion for people that mass murder children, they all should be hanged.
We are together on crimes and Justice. As far as election fraud, it is a widely known and sickening virus that has touched almost every nation, and people within. The majority of us do not attack all Muslims because of extremists who hijacked their religion (as Yusuf Islam/Cat Stevens said). To progress, it should also be a shared understanding that we (U.S. citizens) should not all be held guilty for what a group of extremists have done with our government (in the name of God and Jesus).
Windharps, it is interesting to hear what some international people think of the official 9/11 story.. watch?v=0UGXVic15ho but I hear what you are saying and agree.
Thanks for posting this! I think the facade is starting to crack... This was on MSM!!!
Just a couple of years ago you would not have see anything like this on MSM. The tide IS turning and we must do all we can to push these bastards out of office and out of positions of power. We must do all we can to shed light on the atrocities that are being committed in our names.
The tides are clearly turning. Both congress and the media are starting to take this seriously. Wonder what happened in that closed session of congress that scared the shit out of Pelosi?
It is possible that an integral part was being set up through those "classified" meetings in the early years. Since she did not fight back or resist enough in the face of our Constitution and Rights being shredded, they may have at least implied that should she attack them, they will attack her with collusion in the same crimes.
My feeling on this has always been that Bush et all will eventually be indicted and tried on war crime charges in a World Court. If so, they will certainly be executed if convicted.
One way or another, these criminals will pay for their crimes. If not by the courts, then by God.
The media is finally turning their backs on these men. It's about fucking time.
I believe there are others, yes... but THESE are the traitors, and it is them that we need to make examples of. No chess game was ever won without pawns, my friend.
I beg to differ. King Henry III, King Henry IV, Lincoln, Garfield, Ferdinand, Gandhi, JFK, RFK and MLK were taken out without removing their pawns.
So, now you can wipe that smug smile off of your face and stop being so certain about things, and instead, have more due diligence in issues of interest.
RFK and MLK hardly qualify as "leaders". Great men? Yes. Leaders? No. Sorry.
I'm not sure why you've taken such a defensive stance... I believe we're on the same side here - we simply disagree as to who we should be holding accountable.
I know all about the world elite... I was once one of them. Should they be held accountable? Yes... but good luck taking them down in short term. These families are intertwined in ways that the common man could not possibly fathom. Talk to me.
A leader is not someone who has a specific position, they are people that lead others. I'm sure that you know of many people in managerial or high positions that does not lead; people don't follow them.
True though, we have digressed. Every possible mean to expose and get rid of these corrupt folk via trial needs to be used.

WindHarps...I agree with you. The majority of Americans have made it clear that they are against this war, torture, and the other attrocities that have happened with human rights violations and our own civil liberties. It is a sad day in American history that we do not have the moral high ground. I never thought the day would come that our govt would be brought before an international tribunal to enforce the rule of law. Our country now is run by a dictatorship, a self proclaimed decider.
I hope that the Bush admin is held accountable for war crimes and crimes against humanity. Bush/Cheney should be impeached and put in prison with all of the liars who participated in this. And voters need to show up in November and hold Congress acountable for their refusal to take action. The constitution will be nothing more than a piece of paper if these crimes are not prosecuted. "The only question is whether these illegalties will be punished." That's the point here.
To them, the Constitution is already a G..-Damned Piece of Paper (secretly shredded). Our society (overall) has been screaming for Justice for years. And, so far, the New Majority has let all of us down - while ignoring our votes, our voices - as well as their duties, their oaths. Still, regardless of their abrogation, your/our efforts have a positive effect. We will never stop Fighting The Good Fight. Shared Goals, Vicki ~
"You don't get to call something legal, just because you say it is. "There has been a lot of that going on in the Bush administration. Then they hide behind the words "Executive Privilege" Executive Privilege does not give anyone the right to break Constitutional Laws. Not even the President. He should be tried for his crimes and impeached. And if he refuses, manually drag his ass out of office and lock him up.
No doubt about it. Torture? "Well, everything we did was Legal (because we assembled together a few neocon, lunatic, hack lawyers who would redefine the word/term)." Absolute Orwellian Evil. Period.
