wow what a nice rational response to a secular message. i'm starting to think we can get along in this country. im hoping no hate mongering comes of this. but i might be the 1 doing so by thinking that
I love that of all the christians interviewed were ALL understanding and tolerant (because we all know christians are known for their tolerance.. especially in tennessee.), but the one tweet they decided on to give the 'atheist opinion' was one calling the campaign a waste. it'sof the fox news play book: make yourself look good & cherry pick the most negative thing you can show about your opponent.
disagree? were the sides reversed, how "fair" would you feel this coverage is?
@maxdecphoenix I think it was reasonable enough - a stereotypical view might be that people in support of the campaign would be secular, and people against it religious - they've just chosen a quote from an atheist against the billboard and christian (presumably) in support of it, to contrast the sterotypical opinions. Not to mention a person of unspecified belief in support of the campaign! All in all, a very tolerant report from everyone involved, especially considering it's the bible belt!
do all white people spend their time putting up stupid billboards, heres one for you, our president is weak our military can't even beat village fighters, we are grossly overweight, china, russia, and north korea aint taking s*&(t from us anymore, but we can post billboards. i have no respect four american'ts .
This was great. The reporters kept wanting to get the other side, but there's no other side. And not finding an "other side" which wanted the secular group dead and lynched, they reached out to the public, then a church (which impressed me with their handling) and then had to open it up to the audience. LOL
I can imagine someone at the studio going "Get me someone demanding blood!"
Glad that some of the citizens of the community recognize that it's only sensible for the secular message to become a part of the 'marketplace of ideas'.
