@Omega231984 They couldn't even if they wanted to. Too many issues with rights to different things come into place when you try to do something like that.
@VVWEtitantrons@VVWEtitantrons I have a lot of 2006-2008 era episodes in EyeTV format on an external hard drive that have not been converted to video files yet... and tapes of older episodes going back to 2003 on VHS that are packed away... but nothing currently converted.
@spooieVAULT Any chance of you transferring those 2003 tapes to DVD/PC?
If not, would you be willing to sell/lend me the 2003 VHS tapes? I would pay for shipping both ways, so it wouldn't cost you anything to send them to me. I would transfer them to DVD myself, then rip 'em to my PC and give you the download links to them if you want. I've done this before with one other user, and all went well. I can send payment through Paypal, if you wish.
@CFAMediaV7 I kid you not, they would be at least 100 pounds to send. I have three boxes of them (at least)... with SP copies on old tapes. Eventually my plan is to convert them all myself... it's just finding the time to do so.
Most of the episodes pick up around episode 40 from 2003, with one or two random earlier ones as well. I didn't start taping them until the first batch were out of circulation.
Can you view EyeTV files at all, by chance? That's the TV Tuner format on my Mac.
EyeTV files? Never heard of 'em, but I'll see if they can be run/converted for Windows 7.
Would you consider splitting some of the transfer work between you and myself?
So, instead of sending all of the tapes to me, send half of them for example, so you wouldn't have to worry about the ones you send to me. Again, I'm willing to pay for shipping both ways.
Doing the tapes/shipments in small increments is more easy, and affordable, imo.
@CFAMediaV7 To be honest with you, right now they're all packed away in boxes in my basement and it will probably be a while before I'm even able to get to them. I have nerve damage in my left foot and a bad knee and it is just too much to dig around right now. But I will keep you updated.
The unfortunate thing though, is that I have many 2006-2008 and G4Rewind episodes already on an external hard drive in SD quality (not from VHS) in EyeTV form that would be easy to copy to another drive.
@spooieVAULT Oh, okay. Sorry to hear about that. When/If you you're able to get to them, let me know if you want. I've been dying for 2003-2004 episodes of X-play!
P.S do your tapes have commercials recorded on them as well, or did you pause the VCR when those came on? Having them with commercials would be mind blowing to me! It makes watching X-play from that time period that much better!
@spooieVAULT All of my copies of X-Play have the commercials with them. They were generally recorded at SP speed in 4 or 5 episode blocks. Though some where recorded on new tapes, most of them were from old tapes I was recording over. The only ones without the commercials are episodes I got off of TechTV on Demand.
BTW... Did you happen to catch any of G4Rewind when it aired a few years back?
Some good Morgan Webb fapping material.

@DeadlyDre Yeah, I know... tell me about it. Have you had any luck with finding any old episodes?

@VVWEtitantrons I had some that I had uploaded and posted over at G4rewind.com... but it looks like everything on that website got wiped. Oops.

@spooieVAULT Oh... that sucks! Do you still have those episodes to upload to another hosting site?
