Milo and Otis with the talking cat and pug dog? that use the be my fav. movie!! XD aanyway, adorable video. :] its funny she was sneaking that frosting and you were watching her. and "its still my birthday!" classic.
That was wonderful! I agree with your comments that life is always "sweet and melancholy, both". Lovely work! Because it was so realistic, it really pulled me out of just being a viewer into the moment, participating too. Where's my Party Hat? : ) I loved the frosting "check" at the very end! --Brian
I liked your treatment of each scene and what it represented. The playfullness of the cake, the wonder in the decorations, the chaos of the party, the desperation of the aftermath- trying to hold on;
"The birthday's not leaving!"- oh that line just melts the heart, huh?
Olive is just simly the queen of the obviously true but never admitted- who has not wanted to say," My birthday is not leaving;it is still my birthday; happy birthday to me!" What a beautiful reminder of the human longing for recognition and love!
The big 3 - HaPpY bIrThDaY to OlIvE! We have the same Hello Kitty tablecloth that has been used a few times, and is now a drop cloth for art and other messy ventures. Good to know there are some things that are universal (like cake licking!). Great show, mc.
"My birthday's not leaving. It's still my birthday. Happy birthday to me." Where are the Beatles when ya need em? The honesty of being 3...anticipation, the party! and then the end of the party. "My birthday's not leaving..." Very sweet.
WOW! I can't belive she is THREE! She has now graduated to the land of "No Subtitles!" LOL
And what a little nugget of filmmaking! Inspirational as always. I LOVE the lickey-face! That is hilarious. And the party scene is awesome. And the finger in the cake is magical.
Thank you Dale! The lickey face just thrilled me, to get it captured. I do so much of the filming that I'm not often on video with Olive and it's nice to get those moments. Kudos Andy! Also, I was trying a sound experiment to see what I could do without music, if I could convey the feeling of a party. So I am glad you liked it!
I love this. Olive is a heartbreaker!

Thank you BVW, Milo is from a DVD we have called Otis and Milo and I think Milo is the cat. Olive is really into "kitties". Cheers!
