Wow! That really looked like a lot of fun. My money tho is definitely on Emily--her spins were the tightest. I've seen her social dancing with Oliver Pineda and it was as if she was on spin cycle the way she was spinning. It was truly amazing! But all of them have great technique.

I am seriously considering inventing a shoe than will let you spin like 100 times! I bought the stuff already at home depot and the very first version sort of worked. Anybody want to partner up on this idea!

So far I know that Emily and her brother Junior are instructors. Karla is also an instructor with her husband Al "Liquid Silver". But you don't have to be an instructor to know how to spin. Some people learn how to spin on the dancefloor or just by taking classes. Trust me its not hard once you get the hang of it.

how on earth do u spin like that? are they actually just spinning on their toes using both feet or on one? farr looks impossible :(((

The trick is spinning on the ball of foot and not on the heel of foot. You have to spin with your heel lifted up off of the floor, if you don't lift it off of the floor you can break or mess up the spin. Other factors come into play in order to spin right - your feet have to be together, your legs tight, body slightly bent, back straight, head looking forward.

lol! That happened to me when I first started learning how to spin lolol. Except for me, I kept going into the walls lolol. I had to teach myself how to stay in one spot and not travel with the spin. ;)

Spotting is also another thing you have to do, you have to "spot" something in order to spin like how Emily is doing. Just watch her, because that's exactly what she's doing. And its what I do everytime I spin.

Yeah I've spun on carpet before lol. In my apartment actually. Its pretty easy, as long as its that flat carpet. If its complicated carpet, forget it, unless you are really a pro lol :P

It all lies in the art of "spotting" something. With every turn, they spot something in the process to keep from losing balance and to minimize the dizziness.
