Does anyone knows hows what programs to delete from stalling Suse so it can run faster. I use opensuse just for internet. That is all. So far the only program that I have uninstall are the games, but i think i need to cancel more programs but i dont know wich programs to cancel. Anyone can help pls.
I was too ;) still am i think :P but linux open Suse i like the best i got it as triple boot ( next to my win vista en win xp )
just compare the qualities of OpenSuse and Ubuntu , from the users that gave comment , don't look on the website but google for commands ( not related to the website itself ! )
;) i hope you will succeed and i bet opensuse is just much better

does ubuntu requires a hi speed pc cuz my laptop sucks in vista. it always hang and stuck. if i switch to ubuntu, will it make the pc to go faster or slower.
It will 'feel' light and fast compared to Vista. And it will be more stable. Though I much prefer Kubuntu myself (where I work we've had Kubuntu running on a number of laptops and its nice).
I like Kubuntu better and I like the apps that come with Kubuntu better (apps like Amarok and K3B are unbeatable). Thought I think Ubuntu is probably a little more mature and stable, I like a KDE desktop and apps better.
PCLINUXOS is a very good one with high compatibility and it comes with Beryl pre-installed and a whole bunch of neat stuff. Ubuntu MINT is perhaps my favorite, however. Sebayon is another good distro. Personally I feel more comfortable with Ubuntu because I get to customize it the way I like it. Go to Distrowatch (dot) com to learn more about Linux and all the distributions and to downloading them.
I spent 2 months trying to figure out Ubuntu. It's not as easy as people say. Open suse, well, I downloaded that, and installed it, and figured it out over night, enough now so that I can learn whatever else I need to learn.
Some Windows users find a distro which uses a KDE desktop (like Suse) a bit easier to get used to. Ubuntu uses Gnome, which though popular, isn't everybody's cup of tea.
visit opensuse's website, they have a detail instruction of how you can install ati drivers. they don't include them in suse anymore because it's not open source :D
hi, ive recently installed opensuse 10.2 and really wanna get the cube and 3d effects up and running, ive got an ati radeon x1950xt graphics card, and i dont have a clue how to install the drivers, in windows u just double click and it opens the installation. when i do this in linux it opens in a wordpad type thing, as u can tell i really have no clue with linux what so ever and any help to get my ati drivers installed would be amazing, cheers
KDE is epic but I think the newest version kinda looks bad. When I say kind a mean a tiny bit. I prefer SUSE with KDE. I use ubuntu (GNOME).

Ubuntu totally pisses me off, you need to install half of the needed plugins, and it hates nVidia.

For your first linux distro you probably should have gone with Ubuntu, even though suse isnt that bad.

ya, id recommend Ubuntu as well, even tho I'm an OpenSUSE user and absolutely love it, Ubuntu is basically the most user friendly Linux there is.
