Ah yes. I remember Garrison well, or was it Mean Streak and then back to Garrison. The thing I remember most about Garrison, though, was they always sounded better from the other side of the road from where they were playing because the PA was just way too loud! Oh, and icemaiden56, you must remember me! I think I only missed two nights at the Crown in Thornton. Those were the days, Garrison, Dagaband, Gypsies Kiss, Chaser, Tredegar and my favourites were Rough Justice!
Oh those memories!! Andy Wylie on the PA, dare I mention Tysondog and their gig, that was some night!! I have photos of Tredegar still in my posession. They blew us away!!! Those nights at Thornton were nights to never be forgotten and mr?( more clues), and the others made us true female rockers more than welcome, and accepted us into the circle of head bangers. The adrenalin flowed free!! Garrison came down to join us all on the floorafter gigs.Keep Rockin.' r u on facebook?
Flippin heck!! A blast from the past. The nights we had rockin the night away with you.
St Clairs Tavern and Oh the joys of Thornton! Doctor Doctor was always my favourite done by you, a great finale to your gigs! A magic time when we were two of the few REAL Female Rockers! Hows tricks anyway??? All the best and KEEP ROCKIN' !!

Trying to get time to get the first 2 tracks done, with other commitments we have to just do a hr here and there, just a note to let ya know we have not forgot :)
Alex - did you guys release a song called "falling" circa 1982? sure Tommy Vance played it. whatever else you do, you have to get that song out there again or at least say where I can get hold of a copy! good luck - the world needs good hair metal these days!
Alex Here, just a quick update, the 2 tracks are nearly completed music wise and we will then work on vocals and mixes after that, sounding pretty damn good fr a bunch of oldies hahaha, hope to have them finished real soon.
Hello folks, Alex here (former bass player Garrison)
These tracks are not availible anywahere as they were never released, all the band had were some tape recordings which are either long gone or so badly damaged that they are unlistenable.
However after the reaction the band has had on here myself, Tony Mitchell (lead singer) and Mike Bruce (Keyboards Gtr) have started recording a couple of tracks, it may be a while until they are done with work comitments but we will keep you posted.
Thanks, we will do a post on here when we have tracks done, I would think it will link to a myspace where people can go over and have a listen and a little info on how the band started and ended.
This is one of the great things about Youtube, it's brings music to people who normally would never have discovered it. Where in the UK were you guys based? I'm from the North-East. I actually have an mp3 file featuring a whole bunch of your demo's. They're pretty good quality to be honest. I can send them to you if you'd like a trip down memory lane? Also, can't wait for to new recordings... good luck.
It is so nice to see a musician who is interested in the fans. I first heard of you guys when i spent some time in europe and am so glad I found this post. I figured I would never hear about you all again but I was wrong and am glad i was. Keep up the great work and thank you for your contribution to rock and roll !
Great to find this havet heard from you since the 80's. I'm pretty sure you hade a track in a compilation i own "Rock The Nations" (double record - vinyl). Correct me if i am wrong. Unfortunately my turntable is broken. But as soon i fix it i intend to transfer everything (including yours) to mp3 format. Than i will make some vids and post them on you tube. Thx for your contribution to the genre i love. So underestimated :(
@alexburrell Hello Alex-I'm a bit late tuning in to your thread here- but just wondering if the tracks you mentioned ever came to anything? Having listened to the 3 tracks available on Youtube I'm totally amazed you never made the 'big-time' in the late 80s. Are you or any other members of Garrison now playing in other bands-and if so, can I maybe find you on Myspace music?
Just found this video on pc. Im Derek Lindsay the drummer. God wot great memories this brings back. We had great times back then. great band, great songs.
Thanks for the comments. I am the keyboard player ... Mike. If you want some more demo recording send me your email address and I will send some mp3 files.
