Dude! Darin as in Darin Bell? It looks like him. I knew him up in Oregon. He was one of my flight instructors.

Yes, that's Darin. He's my brother. He works for PJ's in Northern California and went to school and taught in Newberg, OR.

Okay, yeah I knew he was working for PJ Helicopters for a while but wasn't sure if he was still there. When I saw it was a flight in Red Bluff I was sure it must be him. I really liked him. He's a good guy. I live in Quincy just up the hill from Red Bluff and I see their helicopters around quite a bit. He probably spent some time in Quincy this summer with all the fires that were going on. There were 15 helicopters at out little airport at one time.

Darin was actually just a student at the same time I was, but advanced much quicker than I did and passed me up, then became a flight instructor while I was still a student, so it was weird when he became my instructor, when we both were students at the same level of experience just a year earlier.
