top kick lives but looses an arm burned off by a Tanker Bug, Rico makes Cpl, the Sgt ("attention on deck!") is shot by Rojack as a giant Wasp stings him to death ("I'd expect any man in tihs unit to do the same for me!") Rico makes Sgt. Dizzy gets impaled by an Arachniod solider (but "its ok Jonny because I got to have you") , rico makes it, Ace Levy makes it, Sugar Watkins blows himself up with a nuke ("Just trying to kill some bugs, sir!") and Rico shoots Rojack "Rico! You know what to do!"

Hell no. The book was pulp fun and the movie is a nice take on it. What makes the movie so good is the Verhoven touch - extreme violence/mutilations mixed with hilarious propaganda clips. Some awesome action scenes too. Hey I like the book but it ain't exactly War and Peace.
