  • I'm the kind of person who laughs on the inside... Fuck my life. I'm a sad human being who does not have the ability to laugh.

  • 3:22 coz russell and frankie have left and im too fucking young!

  • Who's Charlie ? The 8 Out Of 10 Cats thing ?

  • the guy who introduced dara worked on the us version of whose line is it any?

  • I WANT HIS JOB!!

  • I like the way people say some of the comedians are unfunny I mean fair enough if you dont like the comedy thats your opinion but when pepole say stuff like "Russell is so unfunny he just brings the whole showdown what a tosspot" Im like Id like to see you do better than him mate.

  • Wahey! The first guy is Tommy Tummy from Gigglebiz on CBeebies!!

(Sorry - that's what happens when you become a parent...!)

  • THIS IS WHAT THEY HAVE TO DO TO PLEASE THE FUCKING BRIT! :O

    :L

  • rofl, 'hello BBC broaddanb viewers, now come to the fucking show and see it live'

  • you have to be 16 :)

  • dara is a legend!!!!!!

  • The guy at 0:27 is the guy who directed the american 'who's line is it anyways'.

  • "Please don't get hung up over who 'won' or lost" LMAO!!

  • Frankie and Hugh seem to always win, no matter how funny Andy and Russell are.

  • cos they are better

  • I love that Dara does the warm up!

  • He was talking to me! :O

  • "If you are the kind of person who laughs on the inside you are fuck all use to me"

  • He's right- the scoring system is arse! lol- Dara is so funny!

  • @Tennisgirl1990 it's not quite as random as on Never Mind The Buzzcocks.

  • It's not fair I'm too young to go and see it being done live!!

  • how old do you have to be?

  • You have to be 18, I think. Which is a same since when I'm that age this show won't be running. -__-

  • Me too, by the time I'm old enough five years will have gone past. It's unlikely to be on by then. Plus tickets are incredibly hard to get hold of.

  • that wouldnt be funny at all

  • those of you who havnt been to the bbc before, we tell lies. im not even irish

  • Comment removed

  • laugh anyway!!

  • "oh and also if your one of those people who laugh on the inside, your fuck all use to me" LMFAO <3

  • I think they are now filming the series, I tried to get in the audience, but don't think I will get to go, gutted ;(

  • How do you get in the audience. Do you just turn up?

  • no you apply for tickets, i tried and didnt get any. they only give out 300 tickets for each show, so its a bit shit really

  • what channel?

  • i also meant to say that it can be really obscure

  • dara o briain says hypholuted (i think thats how its spelt.) what does that word mean?

  • it basically means the same as over exaggerating. he says it a lot on his dvd. i think that is what it means. hope this helps

  • High-falutin'. It's a very vague word for describing stuff too fancy and complicated for you to understand.

  • Not you personally, I hasten to add. 'You' as in 'one'.

  • Dara's got his suit jacket buttoned up wrong xD

  • How ironic... a dvd extra that only the audience get to see :)

  • "...at the BBC we tell lies"

Tell it like it is Dara.

  • New series in july i think.

  • Ha ha, Brilliant.

Does anyone know when the new Series of Mock The Week begins?

  • this thursday

  • This Thursday.

  • OMG its the director from "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"!!!!!!

  • Yep, it's Dan Patterson

  • Fantastic warm-up. It would be worth going to the show just to get the buzz from the warm-up. Other than practice, what the most important aspect of learning to open like he did?

  • Probably getting a good vibe from the audience, being quite open and friendly. Also swearing helps get more laughs than usual =]

  • ive only ever seen him do stand up once but ive seen him compere comedy clubs loads of times so you could say this is his trade. sort of greasing the laughing wheels so the comedians dont come on to a flat audience.

  • i think he does this everytime

  • "I'm not even Irish"

HAHA I NEARLY FELL OFF MY CHAIR

  • LMAO

    iloveit :)

  • how can you hate russell howard?

    hes adorable, and funny :)

    like a child aww :)

  • On this show, he's just the judge really. Unlike the others, he doesn't get the chance to show off.

  • DARA O'BRIAN IS KING OF COMEDY!

  • Watch his Dvd's and you will change your mind. He is one of my favourite comics. Him Jimmy Carr, Ed Byrne, Frankie etc etc. 5 STARS

  • guy at the start "uhhhhhhhhh, uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh uh uhhhhhh"

  • I LOVE DARA !

  • The guy who introduces Dara is Dan Patterson, he and Mark Leverson created Whose Line!

  • I knew i remenbered that name from somewhere.

    Thanks a bunch ^^

  • Whose Line is the best!!!

  • cant really beat it can you, lets create a petition to get them back lol

  • ahhh i thought it was when i saw him

  • guy who introduces dara to the audience os the producer of Whose Line Is It Anywau? US Vesion

  • Yes he is

  • and the UK version. He and Mark Leverson created it. Whose Line was a BBC Radio 4 production before Channel 4 and ABC got hold of it

  • Yey thanks for this! Hehehe :D

  • only the bbc would publish anything like this - mocking itself and not caring. would ITV, or SKY publish anything like this with their name on it? I think not. Long live the tv license if this is the kind of comedy that the BBC can create. :-)

  • Don't be silly, they prefer wasting more money on Eastenders

  • i wish i could see it live

  • very hard 2 get tickets 4...any1 got any? i'll pay even tho they're free!

  • The tickets are free?!

  • yeaah visit the website free tickets if u can get hold of them!

  • Why would they charge you? They need an audience to do the show.

  • good comedians all together....i'd pay!

  • Mock the Week has improved loads since they got rid of the depressingly boring Rory Bremner!

  • Totally agree. All he seemed to do was his crappy impressions whilst pulling a stupid face!

  • DAN PATTERSON!

    Fantastic man!

Brought us so much great comedy over the years.

Big fan AND he's great with Ryan Stiles too.

  • Yeah, Ryan apparently hit Dan with a pie during Whose Line!!

  • Yeah he did!

There is a video of this on Youtube.

It's one of the WLIIA/Whose Line Outtake Videos and you get to see Patterson pied!

I like the outtakes for Mock The Week too!

  • Really, I have got to find that video!!

    Thanks, Nat :)

  • I would get of my f*cking ass and come see the show but im only 13!!!

Dan Patterson!, I sing his praises for he (and Mark Leverson) made Whose Line!!!

I wish more Whose Line peeps came on MTW, I remember the episode where Greg was on it!

Greg Proops is my fav comedian!

  • this guy is funny and dont use the cows name in vein

  • dara is hillarious lol i wanted to see him introduce the teams for some reason i don't know why i just like russell howard he's so cute!!

mock the week is the best comedy quiz show wooooo

  • Holy cow! The director is the dude from Whose Line in the US. Makes sense.

  • ye didn't ye no it says dan patterson at the end of every episode;) u should figured it out after u realised there arn't any points being givin out

  • i agree:)

  • it would be even better if colin or ryan from whose line were on it

  • Ah yes, dear Captain Hair. ;)

  • Ah yes, and The Neon Love Chicken!! :)

  • Love this show

  • im not even irish----LOL.

  • It's back on 2nite!!!!

    Yipee!!!!

  • Greg proops!!! Thats going to be fantastic!!

  • Dara is one of the only permanent hosts who is funny without an autocue. Warmup AND the host? He must feel really tired afterwards.

  • Being a professional stand-up probably helps, as he is practised in ab-libbing, and has a wealth of jokes stored.

  • is that the theme to top cat i hear playing in the background? lol i love that show as well as this.

"i'm not even irish" funny man

  • It's "News of the World" by the Jam.

  • It's 'the fucking brit'!

  • spot the whose line fan

  • Yeah and proud of it.

  • me and you both buddy!

    long live king colin!!!

  • And president Ryan ^^

    Gotta love WL.

  • Yay!!! I thought i recognised him! Just have to laugh everytime i see the names 'dan patterson' and 'mark leverson' at the end of mock the week now, cos of them reading out the credits on 'whose line'. i miss that show! :)

  • Aha, speaking of Ryan... anyone else think Hugh Dennis looks a bit like him? How creepy.

  • OMG! You too?! He has so many of his mannerisms too sometimes.

  • What about Andy Parsons? The new Colin Mochrie (minus the truckload of bald jokes)

  • Well spotted ;)

Yeah, it is a bit weird. And Dara is a bit like Drew I guess - only a LOT more funnier.

  • Not wrong there.

  • I love the fact that we are all Whose Line fans too!!!

When it comes to hoedowns, I'm doing another one.

After the first one, I thought that I was done.

Feel like such a fool, and I feel like such a twit.

This is what I have to do to please the f**king Brit!

Sorry had to write that!!! :)

  • OMG ! anyone who watches whose line is it anyway isnt that guy at 0.23 the producer of whose line u.s ? :)

  • yeah it is Dan patterson

  • "If you're the kind of person who laughs on the inside... You're of fuck all use to me."

  • do ya hav to be over 18 to get tickets

  • no 16 with mock the week

  • *still can't believe I was here*

  • Wow! You were there?! Lucky!

  • "The scoring system is Arse" HAHAHAHAH

  • i love this funny

  • 'fuck it' sounds so much better in irish.

  • ha ha...totally agree!!!!

  • HAHAHA! "Hello BBC BroadBand! Why don't you get off your arse and come to the fucking show and see it live!" I love his jokes XD Take tht BBC! Mwahahaha! lol XD

  • I saw this live! It is awesome!

  • God, I wish I lived in London.

  • if u were there what were the topics

  • "I'm not even Irish. Demographically it seems to work, so fuck it, lets not rock the boat."

Had me rolling around on the floor in stitches.

  • It definitely is live- I saw that episode being filmed!

Seriously, mock the week is SO much funnier live, there's so much stuff that's just too un pc to televise.

Tickets are free on the bbc website!

  • No way, how do you get them?

  • Because the series' over, you can't get them at the moment, but check out the website - they go through a company called SRO Audiences, which is fine and all that and don't ask for many details (you get the ticket electronically and print it out). They film on the Tuesday night for broadcasting on the Thursday.

Getting tickets is easy, fast, and pretty reliable. I really encourage you to do it!

  • I'd love to be in that audience!!

  • of course its live in the studio, have you not seen the out-takes?

oh lordy lordy, i really wanna be in the audience ^^ im so addicted to mock the week i keep using all the jokes in real life

  • is this show really live cos i recon that sounds like canned laughter?!

  • to be honest i'm quite happy on my arse...

  • id love to be on that show but i cant be im too young he is so funny tho and did you people see the episode with the t shirt brilliantly funny!

  • Every funny.

  • what would the world be like without Dara? probably very dull

  • I wanted to get off my arse and see it live, but we couldn't get any tickets =[

  • Saw it on BBC Website. much more accesable on YouTube though, keep it coming BBC please!!! :)

  • even tho the scorin "is arse" hahaha Mock The Week is a great show, if u laugh on da inside - u are of fuck all use. Dara is great (frankie is my fave tho0

  • 'we tell lies. I'm not even irish' lol! like it! :D

  • lol!

  • love it lol!!!!! thanks bbc!

  • hello rich! i remember you acting in transmissions a few years ago, you were very good. hope to see more of you here. (-small blonde writer)

  • Love this show!

  • awesome extra! im a big fan of mock the week and these kind of extras the bbc provides are wicked!

  • very good, bbc and dara are very good. i love it! (i also love tribe, keep it going)

  • well multipletom, I think the show is more about trying to be funny, rather than points and winning. Other shows like Buzzcocks just arse around during speed rounds, thus showing the emphasis is on humour. If you want points, go and watch Countdown or University Challenge(d).

  • Hehe, nicely said =D

Mock the week is great, the scoring system is just a little add on, doesn't matter in the end, cos I reckon the scoring is rigged..but its flipping hilarious! I don't care about the scoring! xD

  • ALIEN VS PINGU

  • btw Daras gr8!!!!

  • added 6 hrs ago and already 643 views? whooo!!

  • I like the end. Did you get the joke?

  • Very funny, I love the show and 5th comment woohoo!

  • Excellent!! Dara is great
