i made my way to this one and must say i enjoy it the most out of the few i have watched for the simple fact that you ask obama to do an interview on fox news, which will not happen becuase i see him as a man following the book written by saul alinsky titled "rules for radicals" the guidelines how to turn a country communist. and fox is a news chanel that has a "democratic view" or is a chanel with the theory of "by the people, for the people"
He says Obama should do an interview on Fox News because Glen Beck claims censorship by the White House but no such things has been done, like Azrienoch said you have the right to speak but not to be heard. If Obama does an interview on Fox News they can't claim censorship so Glen Beck won't allow it. I am a conservative because my views most closely resemble conservatism, Glen Beck's view's are based off what party he holds on to. In Becks mind your either 100% conservative or anti-american

I'd hire him instantly if I were in the position to do so. It's not all about fitting into a certain look. He's funny and obviously educated and in my opinion he would make a fine college professor. I never cared what my professors looked like. I wanted them to teach me and keep me interested, and Azrienoch would surely be the man for that job.

No matter what job azrienoch may interview for, Im willing to bet hell be smart enough to know which ones to remove the nose ring for. I once considered a very respectable and well paid position which required a burping contest as part of the interview. Do you think that place cared if I showed up in a suit or casual dress, or with or without facial piercings? They placed value on education, a sense of humor, and an easy going attitude. There are job descriptions to fit just about anyone.

From a purely egotistical standpoint, when I don't block a person making a dissenting comment, several people usually post rebuttals. Then, the original guy comes back to defend himself. Rebuttals continue ad nauseum (there are whole debates on my videos that I haven't even read). All the while, my videos' view counters go up and up and up.
My problem is I can barely resist speaking up to defend myself. There are plenty of videos I've "let go," like my History of Western Philosophy, or Atheist Paradise. But those are also commented upon often. Some troll that comes along within the first few days of a video's posting are more likely to just get blocked.
Nah, I'll continue to block them. It's an easier way to ignore people that I want to ignore indefinitely. Makes it so I don't have to actively ignore them. The people I don't block but ignore are only ignored for small bits of time.
But don't you risk creating a 'hothouse' environment? Even fools can occasionally spout wisdom. If nothing else, listening to fools helps me identify them more easily.

I guess it all depends upon what you want to do with your life.
If you want "loser" stamped on your forhead and resume, you have to really work at it.
There are a lot of losers in our society. They may be smart, may be educated, may even be levelheaded and evenhanded. But, when you come at society looking like your mother dressed you funny, nobody knows or cares.
First impressions are important....always.

Youtube, the people on it, how they're dressed, what they say, where they live, what they do for a living.........are all totally irrelevant to me.
I pass through here occasionally for the laughs, the fun, and to rile up the tinhatters.
Beyond that, Youtube is not part of my empathetic experiences.

I think getting to the top, in many cases, isn't so much about merit, integrity, and intelligence as it is about being part of the buddy system and spending enough time under the right person's desk. "Oil" sounds the same (with the exception of where the accent falls) forwards and backwards. This happens because of how the L-sound is actually pronounced.

I am modifying my channel, not them, in the way that I'd modify myself if I put my hands over my ears. They can still say things about me or the topic, and I can still listen if I choose. Am I silencing my talkative aunt just because I don't invite her to my house? Of course not.

Let's face it, YouTube is big. It's so big, in fact, that you probably don't look up every single person that you interact with.
Let's say azrienoch decides to block someone for whatever reason. Is that an IP ban from this channel? No, it's not.
If someone was SOO hurt by being blocked on this or any other channel, they could make a new account, try to play nicely, and probably not be blocked again. thus- not censorship

"Nothin'" sounds about the same forward as backwards too. My niece said it in a video the other day and i accidentally found out by reversing the video. However you have to say "nothin'" instead of nothing for it to work and nothin' isn't actually a real word. I just found it interesting 'cause I'm weird like that.

I would say that their is a fine line between censorship and ignoring on things like youtube videos. For example, it is a lot easier to make an argument that blocking someone is ignoring them on a video like david after dentist then a liberalviewer video.
However, obviously obama shouldnt have to do an interview if he doesnt want to. Just like I shouldnt have to leave on comment on this video if I dont want to.

From a purely egotistical standpoint, when I don't block a person making a dissenting comment, several people usually post rebuttals. Then, the original guy comes back to defend himself. Rebuttals continue ad nauseum (there are whole debates on my videos that I haven't even read). All the while, my videos' view counters go up and up and up.

My problem is I can barely resist speaking up to defend myself. There are plenty of videos I've "let go," like my History of Western Philosophy, or Atheist Paradise. But those are also commented upon often. Some troll that comes along within the first few days of a video's posting are more likely to just get blocked.

Nah, I'll continue to block them. It's an easier way to ignore people that I want to ignore indefinitely. Makes it so I don't have to actively ignore them. The people I don't block but ignore are only ignored for small bits of time.
