click the lenz next to the hand moving tool and type number like 60 and then you will be able to see more view than 35. if you type 1, it will not look perspective anymore

Generally how fast would you recommend a computer be to smoothly handle sketchup models that contain a lot of details and components? Say for architectural presentations. Thank you.
My computer slows down a lot when i have a fair amount of details and components in my model. Any tips on how to temporary turn off certain details when not needed so that the image regenerating speed is not extremely slow whenever I orbit around?
i also have that problem especially with landscape components. try switching to wireframe view. if that doesn't work, place your components on a separate layer (ex. all plants on LANDSCAPE Layer) and then freeze that layer before orbiting. hope that helps.
