@flemishguy you're only mentioning English language directors.. what about Kurosawa, Ozu, Bergman, Lang, Fellini, Antonioni, Bertolucci, De Sica, Godard, Truffaut, Melville, just to name a few.. Broaden your horizons!
i'm a teenager and i don't do drugs or alcohol; all i need is to listen to this great man talk about films and i feel like i could run a mile. i feel such a great connection with scorsese and this love of cinema.
I have yet to see a Scorsese film that I see and I think "Wow, that was truly awful. What are you doing Marty?" I've seen movies that I thought were okay, but over all I would say he is my favorite film maker.
Greatest Filmmaker All Time. Just ahead of kubrick, hitchcock, spielberg, coppolla, and woody allen.
