  • But Vadala didn't bring it up, she did. And when he tried to initially drop the subject, she kept coming after him about it. No one has to be supportive of anyone's engagements, marriage or same sex unions. Even if she was marrying a guy and brought it up, one can still say, "I don't think you two are right for each other", or "neither of you should get married." SSUs may be legal in Mass, but there's NO law saying that one MUST agree and/or support them.

  • Thank you.... I totally agree with you, I am a 21 years old, I am a guy, I'm straight, and I am a Christian as well. I don't think that homosexuality is bad stuff on my opinion. this person could keep his opinion him self that's all, he brought up the religion and that was the main thing that concerned me... we are humans and a religion is just a imaginary guide, even though I am a Christian I think that religion should not exist.... that I think is bad stuff.

  • sorry for my last post i didnt read all your views. i believe that the man did the right thing that is all.

  • Careful.

Supporting the firing of people because they disagree with you is a fool's gambit.

I'm a long time supporter of gay/queer/transgender equality (Probably was supporting it before you were born.) Yet I am abhorred that this guy was fired.

The woman who reported him - has demonstrated the kind of vindictiveness that anti gay rights people are afraid will become the norm.

  • i dont think its vindictive to report someone who is being discriminated, though i agree being fired for this is HARSH, at the end of the clip i even say that someone who did something similar to me was fired and i didnt think they should have been fired, i think a warner would have sufficed but at the same time this person def needed to be talked to. she has every right to talk about her finacee if hetero couples do and he says he only said its bad stuff but i know he prob said other things.

  • but yes i def agree , firing him was harsh!

  • Thanks for your measured response to my comment

I believe he was being jerky - and the appropriate response from the woman would have been to say to him in response something like this: "I think your prejudice is bad stuff"

BTW: I don't believe she was "being discriminated against" - The BEST result of this whole thing is that only this guy will go to his grave thinking there is a fascistic gay agenda taking hold.

Thanks for your thoughtful take on it all!

  • You look pretty good in rainbow.

Anywho, he could have just asked her to stop talking about it or something.

"Trying to speak the truth and love"? That's bs.

  • lol! i love how your clip is from FOX. they're so...ugh

and WHY the eff does he keep saying "so called fiance"?!

  • First of all he should not have been fired. But he should have kept his religion in his closet and out of work. I don't understand anymore. It is completely ok for a hetero couple to talk about massages, or she likes it when I kiss her ear.

A homosexual could say the exact same thing, and in the end it's the homosexuality you don't like.

FYI don't listen to fox news, they are completely biased.

  • i dont think he should have been fired but i def think he should have been warned, i also think its messed up that a gay person , doing the exact same thing as a hetero person would get in trouble

  • Whether gay or straight if some kept bringing up there fiance I would tell them to go away just cause they are so self absorbed.

  • 4 times in a whole day is not alot to bring up there fiancee

  • Actually when your at "work" your suppose to be there doing your job. If person is finding the time to chit chat and bring up anything in there personal life more then once or twice they are not doing there job.Unless your hired to talk away about random bs

  • if your working retail, theres lots of downtime, infact ive been asked am i married /taken at work before. its a very normal topic and for a whole shift to only talk about it 4 times is actually very minimal. the only reason he was so upset is cuz it was a gay lady, had she been talking about a man it wouldnt have mattered to him

  • I dunnnooooooo its possible. but still gay ,straight or whatever people should keep personally shiz to themselves unless someone brings it up. In my old job I had a female transgender tell me about how she has threesomes with her bf and some guy they met on the internet. I didn't feel to comfortable around that person after that but I didnt say anything to management i just avoided the person. Even if it was a straight female telling me that story I would have still felt very weird.

  • In that case, it was clear cut sexual harassment, assuming the person was talking to you.You should've stodd up for your rights at that episode. I hope you can see the difference.

  • Learn how to spell. Listen closer to the words the fired man uses while putting yourself in the girl's position. You know he was looking to instigate something. Not help save her soul. Christians don't judge.

He should have gone and prayed for her soul if he really felt anything but to find a reason to be a catty little bitch.

  • ^^ hehe

  • Hmmmm i hope this guy has myspce ill give him a ear full! =]

  • amen to that :P
