  • Neil Gaiman is a stuck-up prat and a horrible writer.

Begin your rage at me for offending your precious hack messiah.......NOW!

  • Good job!! That was super cool!

  • @algiene1 Thanks! :)

  • Found this by following Neil Gaiman's link on Twitter. Pretty awesome. :-)

  • radio drama needs a comeback

  • FUCK YEAH

  • The only way that radio drama comes back is through NPR because your average Top 40 corporate owned station would think about it. I like listening to radio dramas while driving for hours. Hell, I enjoy listening to soap operas on the radio. Or, you could just get an audio book narrated by the author or famous actor.

  • uuhh? sorry, I didn't pay attention... I just took the saucers out of the cabinet, they come every day for morning tea...

As for reading I'm going through some Douglas Adams before heading back into some Dennet.

  • As usual, your reading is just spot-on. Most pleasing to the ear and the images really worked well.

  • Thank you.

  • Great narration for a great story!

  • i love gaiman he is a great story teller :D

  • I hope the saucers come to earth, but then again, they probably did and people didn't notice. Nice read.

  • Thank you, buddy.

  • very cool.

hey, you should get Seek to re-do the narration!

  • ... or at least the naked drunken angel photo...

  • great, fkn awesome.

  • It might be a good book, but this particular excerpt makes the author sound like a crack addict. :P

  • Saucers seem so dumb right now!

    watch?v=r3kbMcmvhUc

  • cool

  • :)

What is your opinion on my narration, mate?

  • Not bad.

  • "...and charm, and cleverness, and true great hearts" *cuts to picture of himself, of course!*

    ...subtle, yet modest... !

    d;^>

  • roflmao :p

Are you trying to get a laugh when you post yourself? Because you keep posting that picture of you drinkin' a beer.

  • FINALLY!

You are the very first person to comment on that. Good job. I will give you an internet cookie! :p

Well... yeah. I had to put something there to describe all of those good qualities. So, I thought, why not myself? :)

Smart lad. Good job. No one else has noticed, so far. :p

  • Gaiman is amazing, even in his shorter work. He's also a heck of a nice guy and I've enjoyed the limited chats I have had with him.

Ask him about Three Billy Goats Gruff!

  • love his comic novels. Thanks for this.

  • he kinda looks like julian lennon

  • Nice.

  • Awesome, really - I hope you do more of these

  • Neil Gaiman is a hell of a writer. And you have a hell of a voice to narrate.

  • Zombies are Biblical creatures. See Matthew 27:52.

    Praise Jebus!

  • Nice one Nathan. :)

I liek weird and this was it.

  • Its a great poem and it's a good reading. There are videos on youtube of Gaiman himself reading this, and he delivers it differently, which made your rendition weird :)

  • A bit bizarre but I thought the ending was brillant.

  • Nicely done. ★★★★★

  • Excellent, my friend.

    -"Mo"

  • haha, what?

  • Thank you, my friend.

  • ...I Missed A Video That Nathan Made On The Day The Saucers Came...

    ★★★★★

  • No, no, no. We didn't notice because we were too busy acting like a Michael Bay movie turning out to suck is some unprecedentedly calamitous revelation that no one could ever have seen coming. The rest of us were either playing Halo or masturbating for the 12th time in a row.

  • hahaha

    truer words were never spoken

  • damn that sounds like one helluva day.

Also you forgot that in micheal bay land its constantly sunset

  • Neil Gaiman AWESOME...... one of my fave wrtiters!

    Regards,

    Rhysz

  • I love this. I've heard it once before, read by Neil himself.

  • A Neil Gaiman work I didn't know about? This will not stand!

Holy Hell, the guy's a genius. Very well read too.

  • :)

One of my absolute favourite Neil Gaiman stories. It has the structure and cadence of a poem rather than piece of prose, and in typical Gaimenesque style, is also subtly, surreptitiously clever. Brilliant story, brilliantly read. Faved.

    George

  • That was beautiful =]

I thought it was going to go through a load and then say "but you did not notice, because that was the day the saucers came."

Would have been amazing circular logic xD
