  • Wow...

  • from 2:25 on, that whole left hand position is boggles my mind. haha he's stretchin his index and pinky over like 6 frets, it looks silly. great stuff though!

  • wow....nothin more need to be said

  • I love the part at 0:44

The whole song is great really but that part really grabs me.

  • This is very good guitar, very easy on the ears.

  • i would love to play this but he's playing a baritone guitar haha

  • @dbikeguy or perhaps not, the tuning suggested he was, but i can't reference using the video whether or not its a longer scale length or not.

  • @dbikeguy Stop making excuses and play the damn thing!

  • @mahcuz id love to ha

  • @dbikeguy just play it on a normal guitar. it will be in a higher key, but will other than that there is no difference :)

  • Beautiful!

  • Whats that guitar? The headstock is beautiful... I want one!

    Can anybody tell me?

  • @nocturchaos I believe the maker is Breedlove.

  • @nocturchaos It might actually be his own. Peter is a luthier based in the Boston area I believe. He makes most of his own guitars.

  • @SLoMo4 Shit... So i have to make my own signature model of his guitar? ;)

  • @SLoMo4 he plays his own guitars in most of his other videos, but this one is def a breedlove.

  • His tap harmonics are so, so, so clean.

  • e' fantastico, bello, dolce e magico ill tuo modo di suonare,e originale

    he's great, sweet, magic..........

  • 17 people are diurnal

  • I can eat from that sound... it's incredible !!!

  • this is incredibly underviewed

  • Saw you play this in Charlotte, NC. You were amazing, thanks for the experience!

  • 2:25 an insane chord

  • he has an awesome style with his right hand

  • me gustaaa!!muchoo

  • Sorry for starting an argument with crazy guy. Some people can't just agree to disagree without insulting people because of their own insecurities. We're all worried about you hez1919, good luck being such a mean bastard in the rest of your life, it's usually hard for people like you. And despite all the insulting shit you've said to me I still wish you the best and won't sink to the level of personal insult and namecalling to someone I don't know. everybody love everybody!

  • I swear, these Candyrat acoustic artists are all so goddamn good, I could just buy a CD from one of them even if I'd never heard their name before. Does it say "Candyrat Records solo acoustic?" If so, I'm getting it, don't care who it is

  • Another song i need to learn, damn there sure is some quality music at this channel.

  • Woow... the first harmony with those two chords reminded of some Genesis game soundtrack so badly.... geez... I can't remember.

  • he almost fell at 2:04...

  • As a beginner guitarist, I look up to these guys, pretty much like my damn pictures of hot girls in a locker (for a lack of better words). Im praying to get there and I will..one day. Until then, you should check out my channel if you are a fan of some good ol classic art and poetry. Ups to the man Peter Ciluzzi. Keep up the good work

  • those strings look heavy...wonder what gauge they are

  • @rockinrandy1234 i believe theyre made out of a rare metal called holyshitium

  • @McBoothie94 nice lol

  • man, i wish i was good at guitar so i could play stuff like this...

too bad im a drummer LOL

but seriously, this stuff is really innovative...i like it alot

  • Soulful!

  • what tuneing? love it

  • I love that he brings a bit of bounce into an excellent fingerstyle arrangement.

  • I hope he confused every composer here... the only thing that matters is if it sounds good!

  • Wow. Amazing tone :O

  • NICE!

  • does this guy have his guitar tunned down to C? love that bassy sound

  • Great player. Looks like Baek from street fighter lol.

  • listen to those shinney new strings.

  • Playing an instrument doesn't necessarily mean that you can read music, it means that you feel the instrument, and can shape the sounds to something wonderful.

People these days seem to have it all wrong.

  • @MusicForTheSoul221--I'm not sure I've heard it said quite as sublimely, my friend. I try to teach younger guitarists to play what you feel, & not to focus solely on theory. It's becoming more widely practiced that the majority of learning guitarists are merely out to play the fastest or be the most technical, which loses touch with the most beautiful aspect of playing any instrument: creativity. It invigorates me to hear someone else feel the same :]

  • @DiminishedJemStone

Yes, as do I my friend, as do I. Let us all enjoy music as it was meant to be enjoyed.

  • @DiminishedJemStone I'm totally with you guys on this. All these comments are really beautiful on this page. Maybe it is the music that does it?

  • WHAT A CUTAWAY?!

  • @CedarOnly

yeah, I think its one of his own guitars that he built himself.

  • @moekanz

This is actually a custom-made guitar by the Breedlove guitar company. The headstock has the signature shape of Breedlove guitar headstocks, as well as the "B". Also, the bridge is styled exactly like Breedlove guitars.

  • Comment removed

  • sounds even better live than off the album. tuned a little higher here too...

  • no prob, it's a fun song to learn.

  • Haha, my guitar looks like his; that's all.

    Thanks for clear tuning anyway.

  • C# G# E F# B E

  • Tune?

  • Probably he writes the deepest songs of all candyrat performers. I really like him, because he is original and doesn't follow any trends.

  • Peter Ciluzzi .....vote for Peter Ciluzzi !!!vote for Peter Ciluzzi !!!vote for Peter Ciluzzi !!!vote for Peter Ciluzzi !!!vote for Peter Ciluzzi !!!

  • not totally sure, but i think this is the song of my life

  • Superbe morceau ! :)

  • Great ; )

  • I'm guessin whatever it was took that bite outta that guys guitar was prolly 6 maybe 8 foot long.

  • ROFLMAO!

  • people just listen , then you won't need your tabs !!

sounds kinda rookie-ish , and if you are one you wont be able to play this in tabs either.. so train your hearing skill

  • well, you are right...but its much easier to learn it with tabs ;)...and the main difference here was the tuning(look at my comment 5 days ago) can you play it?

  • i agree if you learn music and learn how to hear it then you wont need tabs. learn chords and scales and modes etc and you will be able to play this, in fact with skill you wont want to play this because you will want to play your own wicked song

  • @hez1919 really true . once you get into composing you only want to create .

  • @hez1919 yeah, but not everyone uses open tunings, and most people wouldnt even guess that some of these songs are in such low tunings. It definitely takes some experimentation

  • @quarentine99 if you understaood chords and scales, then when you watch someone play you will know they are in a particular tuning and you wont have to ask anymore for tabs or tunings, because you will know, when you become a master you do not require tabs and people tellinh you, because your ear will tell you

  • @hez1919 well said brother.

  • @hez1919 The music world is not in such extremes. There's not a special club of people who know music theory who are better and always write their own music and another club of people who don't. Everyone expresses themselves differently musically and I think prejudice is more unwelcome in music than any other art form. You don't need chords, scales, or modes to do anything if you want to enough. Jaco Pastorius said that those of us that can naturally play can do it without learning theory.

  • @266lah he stll plays the thoery even though he cannot name it, and the point since you do not seem to grasp it is the guy asked for tabs, and learning how to play chords and learning your instrument remove the need for tabs, if you learn those things then you do not need tabs, so sir you are wrong there ARE two groups of musicians, those who are able to know what to play from what they hear (natural or trained) and those who need tabs, bettencourt doesnt know scales but he still plays them

  • @hez1919 you sir are a fucking hpocrite, my comment you say people dont need music thoery then another of your comments from another vid you tell people to learn music thoery, get yer fucking shit together , how about you continue studying music and leave the rest of us who are actually interested in learning music alone since you claim to be such a master and know masters and must know everything, you are a fool, go write a song about that

  • @hez1919 Music is a language and everyone speaks a different dialect. There is music taught in oral tradition all over the world complicated enough for people to become great without writing or western theory. There are people who converse with their instrument, and people who recite with their instrument, and most of us are somewhere in between. I think we agree. Peter rules :)

  • @266lah no i do not agree peter rules and neither do you with your own statement, by saying everyone learns music differently and has different styles then there is no ONE best person, please go away , you do not even understand what you are typing yourself, so please do us all a favour and keep your comments to yourself, you are making noise with your words rather than music

  • @hez1919 bro, easy with the hostility. I agree with everything you've said and just wanted to communicate I've met lots of people from all over the world who have learned to play music in different and interesting ways. Don't waste your life being hostile bro, it's not what great musicians would want. Clearly in grade school you never learned the rule of "if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all". I tried to make peace with you by saying we agree but you had to be rude, child.

  • @266lah more noise from you eh, if you agree then why are you saying im wrong? i dont care what the great musicians want, and in fact i like metal where hostility is important, fluffy friend making losers like you who back down just to get someone to agree with them and smooth the ruffles are pathetic, stand up for your belief or kill yourself now, sometimes you have to say not nice things because they NEED to be said, im not afraid to say those things,

  • @hez1919 and I wasn't implying Peter is the best I was just trying to be lighthearted you tightass. I can't believe such ill-willed people could enjoy such beautiful music. Good luck with your anger problems hez1919 looks like you need this music more than anyone.

  • @266lah so by saying peter is the best you were actually implying he wasnt, come on gimme a fucking break, get a grip jackass , that is the stupidest thing you have said so far, i am only ill willed to dimwit fucktards who say one thing and mean another, or try to pussy out and make friends when they actually disagree with that person, you are truly an idiot of the highest calibre, quite amazing the shit that comes out of your fingers actually

  • @hez1919 saying someone is "the best" is often meant idiomatically, understand that? I don't engage in hostility and argue with people like you because you are not worth a stirring of emotion. I obviously pissed you off but I've been nothing but amused by your idiot ranting. I don't believe in confrontation especially for the sake of beautiful music and I hope you can find some peace in your life outside picking fights with strangers on the internet. Get a psychiatrist, have a nice day

  • @266lah say what you mean then rather than using terms which can be misinterpreted, and you SAY you dont keep on with this sort of thing, but you have YET to give up on this argument, therefore YOU are engaging in this argument contrary to your statement that you do not participate in this sort of activity, oh and by the way YOU commented on my year old comment so YOU infact started this not me :), AND you are not in a place to suggest medical attention, fuck you think highly of yourself dont ya

  • @hez1919 I keep getting replys from you in my email so I keep responding mostly because I find crazy people amusing when they are ignorant and standoffish. It's like mentos and soda for your interactions with me. I don't speak loser teenager ignorant douche so I don't think we will be able to communicate, but I do wish you the best and hope you find expression in your life that is for the sake of beautiful music and spreading good will. You are not wise enough for intellectual discussion. Bye :)

  • @266lah you are fuckin funny since im older than you and have clearly used better vocabulary, YOU are the funny one here, and apologising to the rest of the commentors here is pointless, YOU started this trying to tell someone who was already happy with the response i gave that i was wrong, when in fact you are the one who is wrong, why dont you stop responding if you do not partake in this sort of thing? oh because it gets you off, just like the troll you are :)

  • @hez1919 I hope our comments get deleted, my original intention was to make an intellectual comment but then this happened. Sorry everybody wanting to look at good comments

  • @266lah to have an intellectual conversation you must first have intellect, which your contradictions clearly demonstrate you are lacking in severely, these comments should stay so the whole world can see your BS forevermore

  • @hez1919 You're argument about hostility is misguided. People who have to use hostility to get their point across generally have a weak point to begin with, or have a chip on their shoulder. If you can't get your point across without being a dick, then your opinion wouldn't matter to me either. Truth is truth; people will be receptive of truth if you present it properly. Alas, it would be nice if you guys would fiddle with your e-penises elsewhere, because it's ruining the mood.

  • @BenShTurner sticking your nose where it doesnt belong and trying to bring up this dead convo again shows YOUR need to wave around your epenis as well, else you wouldnt have commented

  • @hez1919 I realised that before I even started writing my post, would you prefer I put "our e-penises"?

Anyway, I just had a short point I wanted to make about your hostility comment, if you'd like to debate it like gentlemen then I'm all for it, but I figured you would rather try to win hence why I ended with a conclusion rather than an open question. Also this is a YouTube comment section/forum of discussion. Anything said here has an implied public inclusion. So it's anyone's business.

  • @BenShTurner if its public and open then why would you attempt to censor us by telling us what to say and where to say it? apparently you dont practice what you preach cause you say its anyones business, except for me and the other guy cause you didnt like what we were saying. you are part of the problem not the solution

  • @hez1919 If you're in a public park and people are yelling, you'd be right to tell them to calm down. I'm not telling you what to say, and I'm more than aware that I'm being a little hypocritical by arguing. The problem was that you were being abusive rather than argumentative, I agreed with a lot of what both of you said but to be listening to this song and then reading comments like yours did kill the mood. That was all I was saying. But this is childish, so farewell: Problem solved.

  • @BenShTurner this boy deserved the abuse he got, you werent there, you didnt and go and read his other comments on other vids telling people he agrees with me, then here argues with me, some idiots need to be told sometimes, but for you to bust your head in a month later and KEEP IT UP STILL is pointless, just like the kids statements and your pathetic use of allegory

  • @BenShTurner Exactly, couldn't of said it better! This guy goes around being a dick on everybody's videos. Just ignore him and he'll go away. :)

  • Yeah CandyRat really needs to release a tab book...even though many lame cover videos would follow :D

  • yeah :D thats right :D...anyway it was nice if they would release a tab book xD

  • okay...because nobody gave me the tabs, i had to learn it without :D and dude i can play it till 0:33 ;P

    ...

  • can you make tabs, pls? :)

  • if I'm ready, i think i will ;P ...Well...but if u got the tuning...its much easier ;) so thats the tuning:

    E=C#(down)

    A=G#(down)

    D=E(up)

    G=F#(up)

    B=B

    E=E

    alright? ;)

    So just try it :)

i'll tell you when i'm ready with the tabs ;D

  • okai. :)

  • there's no way you could tune your G up to F#, nor is that logical.

  • shiiiaaat :D you are right...I'm sorry...down to F# xD I'm sorry :P thanks for your corerction ;)

  • lmao. That was funny

  • Dang! Bin thru 8 set o'strings!

  • G=F#(down) not up...^^

  • my goood...i really neeed the tabs oO

  • Such a unique and bold style, i really like it

  • could anybody give me the tabs? :D

  • At 2:08, I get chills because that chord sounds so mystifying but, at the same time, a sense of direction. Like he knew he wanted to be there

    (the frets)

  • A very interesting song, one of the best that I have listened to since my first vist here.

That was a great chord indeed. Although it made me laugh, but it wasn't at him, just at how out of place it sounded.

  • This is in my opinion Peters finest work. The darker aspects of his music really gives his pieces a sort of natural calm and mystery.

  • jeminiguy is right

when me and my friend sit down and jam, he plays with such emotion that We enter a world all our own.

    keep it up Peter

  • This.... is pure art. It's beautiful.

    Those "funny faces" are emotion.

I find those who play with emotion to simply leave those who play completely technical in the dust.

There is just no substitute for emotion when playing music.

  • So strange that it hurts; like a picasso piece adapted to music. That's a very nice guitar, though.

  • his right hand looks really really really really really really really really really really really really really weird. its gonna keep me awake tonight, i know it.

    good music though

  • mmm spider fingers...

  • he does strange and funny faces ...

my uncle do the same thing and he says that when he plays and do that is because he fells really good playing and happy ... nad makes me fell happy wiht his music too XD

  • when you really get into the music your not thinking of what your face is doing. some people look really funny but look at steve vai, he looks like he's very weird but his skills are unbelievable

  • i do the same thing when i play my instrument. people say it looks like im talking to myself....i didn't even know i was doing that.

  • yes I've seen you do this and Michael Chertoff head of homeland security will be paying you a visit with the flu vaccine as he cares about you so much.

  • vaccines are for chumps. i got my swine flu the old fashioned way...and i survived. in your face hospitals.

  • ye... its not deadly unless ur old, sick, or a baby. While you had it, could you have transmitted to a member of those three categories? Youz a stone cold killa. i aint messin wit you no mo.

  • These guys play in about every tuning known to man.... and a few more, just for kicks. I don't know how many strings I've snapped trying out alternate tunings. I found one I just loved.... and couldn't figure out how I got there! :P

  • If you like alternative tunings try Open D5 (DADAAD).. it's pretty fun, especially for manipulating melodies over droning notes. :)

  • Thanks man. I most certainly will!

  • I was playing with it today. Very sweet and smooth. I spent about 1/2 hour figuring out chords and logging them in my book. I've used Open Dm, D, G, E and F, but D5 is very interesting. Gonna work with it some more. Thanks for the insight!

  • wow, some real tricky fingerings therre.

    nice piece btw!!!

  • fabulous :-D

  • wonderfully somber, if that even makes sense.

  • i love this. so simple, musical, and charming

  • he looks like furio from the sopranos

  • sarmaz

  • This guy has the same weird expressions on his face as me! I must drink beer and make funny faces with this man!

  • the original name of this composition was constapato in D

  • haha this is a sweet comment. why all the thumbs-down?

  • 2:39

    too the haters.

    loving your music peter :)

    5345624354536 stars

  • lol.... I think he did that on purpose

  • Great tune. So noticeable i love it.

  • what tuning ?

  • starting with the thickest,

    Db, Ab, E, Gb, B, E

  • Pretty.

  • It's not a guitar; just an extension of his hands.

  • I'm confused on why he doesn't play his own guitar. If it is as good as the way he plays then he should definitely play his own for advertisement and to show further how amazing and talented he is. 1,000,000 stars Peter! Thanks again for bringing us fantastic music!

  • I think he does in the more recent set of his videos for rpoland, probably in the sidebar. He's wearing a gray shirt. The Ciluzzi guitar doesn't have a cutaway and the topwood is lighter, so I'm guessing it's spruce.

  • amazing. really emotionally powerfull, does anyone know what tuning he's using?

  • usually I hate to make comments. but you inspire me. its so great how you treat your guitar. just beautiful

  • can anyone tell me what microphone hes using

  • MXL V69

  • This style of playing sounds so much better on a steel string acoustic than on a classical guitar. The notes ring out so nice.

  • Or maybe it's just that guitar, but the sound is so bright and crisp.

  • He made that guitar personally to his preferances

  • that however is not one of his own guitars that he makes, thats a breedlove

  • It's actually not a guitar! It's an extra extremity and a very rare condition but one that produces great musicians!

  • Nice...would normally prefer nylon string, but this guy has magnificent touch, technique and tone.

  • this piece is incredible

  • 3 comments? haha Absolutely wonderful!

  • Beautiful song, it's like waves of sound gently passing through my ears.

  • Wow, this is another great song! (and psst, don't tell Andy, but I like your "nocturne" better than his)

  • that's pretty awesome

  • beautyfull!

  • Fuckin awesome... i love the "off scale". So beautiful and unpredicatable.

  • Dissonance is needed to move a song a long. Brouwer and Takemitsu made great use of it.

  • Boy, he sure makes that Breedlove sound great!

  • yeah breedloves are really nice guitars, i was playing one in a shop recently n got the impression it would play itself with very little persuasion but theyre far too lightly braced for my percussive style of playing which is why i stuck with martin 000-14

  • I have just been told that this guitar is actually one he makes himself and is appropriately named a Ciluzzi.. Nice.. Looks just like a Breedlove..

  • no this one is the 23CR or something by Breedlove, his own guitars have a very distinct shape, plus this one has the breedlove, "B" on the headstock : )

  • no this one is the 23CR or something by Breedlove, his own guitars have a very distinct shape, plus this one has the breedlove, "B" on the headstock : )

  • Does anybody knows which is the soundhole pickup he is using?

  • In this video he only uses the two mics but I think the soundhole pickup is a fishman rare earth blend pickup

  • Look at that stretch at 2:04!!

  • il ressort une recherche longue et beaucoup de felling... good vibes

  • That's some extremely unique playstyle. And I have to say I loved it. :)

  • every1 should experiment with different tuning to standard, it sounds awesome :)

  • Oh yes! I agree with you. That brings new feelings an also suggests a lot of possibilities for the guitar :]

  • Does anybody knows the strings Peter uses on this Breedlove Pro C25CR guitar?

  • im not sure wut hes trying to say but i get it.. its weird.. but amazing...
