Its funny how. Tamils in other parts of the world, dominated by other languages, WANT to speak the ancient language of Tamil whilst many difficult situations such as being made fun of, but sadly it is weird and different in the country from where the beautiful language of Tamil originated. I would love to speak Tamil everyday if I could, but bloody well I am surrounded by people who are mostly English-speaking and the Tamils who are of my age want to be with the 'in' crowd.

Indian tamil isn't even the original dialect, the last time I went to Ceylon the tamils there had to ask me what sentences meant in the the Indian Tamil films because they didn't understand those that had a mix of English in them. @nilavani When I say Indian tamil is no where near the same as Ceylon Tamil ( the original dialect).. examples in this video are when they say ''English'' instead of ''Aangilam'' and ''tongue'' instead of ''naaku'' for example.
The kid in this video is a realist unlike many arrogant Indians, he clearly states he loves tamil and its culture, however the arrogant older generation fail to see this.

@nilavani I understand that you feel they are becoming more westernised, but Indian tamil itself is no where near what it's like in Sri Lanka, if you want hear critism about the language go to Sri Lanka, that's all I'm saying, all my relatives who have now been murdered couldn't understand Indian Tamil in movies due to the use of mix of english words etc. Indian tamil isn't real tamil, its a more westernised form of tamil. Language and culture are related but two very different things.

i am not a TAMIL but i can speak TAMIL and many other NON-TAMIL people also people speak tamil but we have never experienced any domination of English over our mother tongue or any other Indian language .... It is well proven in this video that this boy is showing off and pretending as if he doesn't know his Mother Tongue ... shame on this boy ... Love your culture then appreciate others otherwise even other cultures will never respect you ....

Indian tamil isn't even the original dialect, the last time I went to Ceylon the tamils there had to ask me what sentences meant in the the Indian Tamil films because they didn't understand those that had a mix of English in them. For all the tamil parents of kids these days and older tamil folk that act like this as they do in the show, I only have one thing to say to you.. ''Check yourself, before you wreck yourself.''

Also adding to that point, the fact they are saying hes setting apart his mother tongue should be of an embarrassment to them, they aren't exactly speaking genuine tamil, are they? Indian tamil has progressed over the years and mixed in English words as well.. for example the fact they keep asking is he has a tongue disease or problem.. why couldn't they use the word '' naaku'' in there..
