im currious if anyone knows why corals die when humans touch them, but not when turtles sit on them? or is it some kind of enzyme or chemical that is emited from human skin and not the actual pressure of the touch. if so, would they survive glove touch? also it seems to me that i have seen aquarium enthusiasts move corals around with bare hands while they are growing them out in grow out tanks. any answers helpfull

Corals die when touched. They're not plants, they are animals. >> I am free diving in Pulau Tioman (Malaysia) in about two weeks!

I can only hold my breath for a 2 minutes 15 seconds at the most, this is incredible to me. ( I'm even a swimmer ) I'm going to try to get better, I'd love to go free-diving when I get older.

@Efseee She didn't hurt anything by that. The brain coral there looks like it gets exposed at low tide. Didn't you notice how it was whitish (dead) near the sides and top?
