That makes sense about the Fibers being transferred but I have also read that Patsy's sweater fibers were found in the paint tote right by the cellar room JB was found in. The same tote the broken paint brush was taken from.
However Patsy did say she and John had went down to the basement getting things ready for the trip the family was taking the following morning. So it could be transfer as well.
