  • This is the only film version of Alice's Adventures that really gets under the skin of the story and shows the deeper meaning. It should be more widely seen. Why is it not?

  • stellar music track, Ravi Rules

  • aparently was it true that alice was tripping in this film ? i found all the symbolic use aswell

  • hi everybody, i need a Jonathan miller's Alice movie but i didn't find in internet or p2p programs. please knowing anyone help me?

  • Is it its original music?

  • yes, Ravi Shanker

  • Amazing music. Dont know how i didnt recognized hi style :)

Love his raga bhimpalasi and dhun.

What's the name of this track?

  • Oh I don't know, he was hired to provide the soundtrack to the programme so it may have just been composed and recorded especially for it and not used outside of the broadcast

  • Thanks anyway

  • How AWESOME.

    Trippy as music.

  • please could anyone tell me where i will be able to watch this free?

  • Hi everyone! currently I am deplpoyed to Iraq, but when I return I will try to download more clips! You can also buy the DVD on amazon. As another poster mentioned, the commentary is amazing! I highly recommend this movie to buy, you will watch it over and over! I only wish I could get the soundtrack!

  • This is truly an amazing adaptation. The music and the imagery is far ahead of its time.

  • Wilfrid Brambell (who plays the white rabbit Alice is following in this clip) is brilliant in this film. So nice to see him as someone other than old man Steptoe (for those who know - mainly Brits I guess). And the DVD of this film is a must-have - the director's commentary is one of the most fascinating and informative I have heard on any DVD - amazing how this masterpiece of a film got made on a shoestring budget.

  • That's right. Brambell was one of Britains greatest character actors - Although Steptoe covered 14 years of his life on and off, he did so much more and should be remembered for much of his other work too.

  • This scene (and whole movie) are awesome; I love the music.

  • What's cool about this scene, is that there is a real M.C. Escher feel to it, a kind of dance with perspective that would've appealed to a mathematician like Lewis Carroll. As another poster mentioned, this version totally captures the mood--and, I'd add, nonsensical logic--of the story. I also love the digs at ironic Victorian customs and the often ridiculous rituals of adult society. No wonder Alice is exasperated at the thought of joining it.Disenchantment wouldn't have it any other way.

  • I love that image at 1:02 of Alice running down the corridor with the billowing curtains...it's the best adaptation of my favourite book of all time.

  • I want to see the entire thing!

  • the best adaptation, ever

  • I can remember hiding behind the sofa when this was on, really spooky and disturbing. The use of the hymn 'immortal invisible' in one scene really stayed with me.

  • I remember very well the day it was first shown on TV. There was a great deal of press coverage. Other media types were very bitchy but their movies are forgotten now. This Alice is avaliable on DVD.

  • AAH! I have to see the rest. This is the best version of a really weird story! haha.

  • I really want to see this movie! Please upload it!

  • Wow- this is fantastic. Is there any way you could post more clips? Typical brilliance from Miller.

  • i love this part

  • ah wow this version totally captures the feeling

  • Can you post the whole movie? Just asking!
