trifield emf meters are perfect for anything you are going to use them for.

My personal favorite is the model 100XE, although it may look old its very good at covering a large spectrum.

I advice TriField rather then something like this.

we'll suggest this as a first iteration .. it's a fail on so many different levels .. I hope you use this as a learning experience re: how not to assemble and present an EMF meter tutorial. Do I need to enumerate the deficiencies? how about some audio? how about some focus? how about less talk more action? show us the response of the unit - how capable and incapable is it? this is not a high-school passing-grade presentation .. no way. Again - we'll write it down as a first iteration.

@WorkingManStudios Uhm, seriously? The theory of relativity is a scientific theory, that goes through several tests and is falsifiable.

The theory that an EMF reader can detect a ghost is something someone thought "may" be the case but goes through no testing and is not falsifiable.

Theory of relativity and theory that EMF can detect ghost are vastly separated.You will have just as much luck with a hammer as you will with an EMF reader.

@tommy605: I merely meant that the relativity theory started out as just an idea. The IDEA that spirits give of Electromagnetic fields is still in its testing phases. IT is generally accepted by paranormal investigators such as myself, who have studied this field, that paranormal activity and electromagnetic fields coincide.

Shouldn't you first determine what effect a "ghost" would have on a piece of electronics before you purchase one? I haven't seen any scientific paper that outlines the effect of "ghosts" on EMF, Temperature or magnetic fields.

@xirishmagicx. Science is not stubborn, it just has the annoying habit of asking for proof for claims. If there were an actual effect, there would be evidence. Unfortunately, there is no evidence. There are just people walking around buildings with temperature guns and EMF meters pretending to do science but missing out on the whole purpose of the scientific method.

I have a Gauss Master myself, along with several other meters, receivers and spectrum analysers for VLF/ELF.

As a tech, radio op and general long wave "listener" to VLF, I have my doubts with use of this equipment for ghost hunting. There are too many variables that can trigger these very basic devices with little ability to verify the source when you do get a hit.

However it will be interesting to see your ghost hunt video results none the less.

BTW the audio is a bit low.
