What a great tune! I'll have a go at that soon. I haven't been playing long, but i was told to play the basses as if the buttons are burning hot under the finger tips.....hey it works :) The bass playing has gotten better thanks to that. As for conserving air, don't be afraid to open the bellows and let the weight of the bass end work for you, it's leads to a more relaxed playing stye and doesn't harm the instrument in any way. Thanks for the compliment, I'm not really a melodeon player and I only know one other tune! This one took me from the end of October 'till now to learn.
I don't really know how to play the basses and tend to to hold the buttons down too long when I should be just dabbing at them to conserve air.
