  • You can do what you like with me- why? Because I is a guillemot!

  • Is it because I is a guillemot?!

  • I need you

  • He looks like I imagine Alex Day (Nerimon)'s dad to look like.

  • anyone agree with me that 0:55 - 1:13 is the best part?

  • @Djinne98 mn...

  • Great to see a lot of good comments on this. I think its quite epic and you know, to put something like this together the writer has to be a bit special. Should have gone further.

  • I could listen to this song till the end of time and it would not be enough!

  • Only discovered this song last week, so amazing!

  • Yes Fyfe, I do need you.

  • If we were too grow his hair a bit I reckon he'd look like Aragorn of Lord Of The Rings.

  • though i don't like his hairdresser, i like this

  • I don't understand how he can be so wonderfully beautiful and have such an amazing voice :')<3

  • I want to fyfe dangerfield for a concert private!!

  • Great record, shades of ELO.

  • @STILLINFOCUS

    Dead on analysis

  • @STILLINFOCUS Agree with you there! It's such a bouncy upbeat song, always cheers me up, along with Mr Blue Sky!

  • Just brilliant, amazing, wonderful music!

  • I am suppose to be making my bed, but my playlist started playing Fyfe and now I am distracted. Darn you Fyfe and your sexiness!

  • I met Fyfe on holiday!!!! :)

  • His voice is close to perfect, just because nothing's perfect otherwise his voice definitely would

  • @dimdom21 Emm why did you comment again? Like you already said stuff about your opinion and whatnot in a previous comment? Which was 3 months ago, you need to get over it bro. Also just to clarify, I simply stated what I thought of the song, then YOU launched into the personal attack on ME. I then told you that I was entitled to my own opinion, and I fail to see where I actually slagged off yours. And now you're commenting again. Over something that I had completely forgotten about.

  • LOVE!

  • EDEN

  • Eden!

  • i luv diss song

  • ı am a london dreamer and this song reminds me of london :)

  • eden advert... lol!

  • Been privileged enough to see this man live 3 times now. 1st time was supporting Rufus and was SO dissapointed to see them leave the stage and Rufus come on! Pure talent!

  • @infinitywatkins

    I envy you...

  • Simplement terrible

  • There are serious ELO overtones here, and being a huge ELO fan, that pleases me!

  • don't know how but my last entry was not done by me some shithead has hacked me I do not make comments about peoples mothers coz that is not on.

  • I love him

  • @dimdom21 lol first answers only for me...so that wee paragraph of yours, the one it took you 2 days to think of ( well done!) yeah you just said it all to yourself I don't care if you corrected it after somebody notified you that it was directed at you....so go eat that shit in the corner of my bedsit its better than anything your mother ever concocted for you. I'm perfectly entitled to my own opinion, asshole.

  • @skittles1773

Your comments are interesting - not ! Err you have clearly never heard of the term double standards. You slag me off for my opinoin then go on to say you are entitled to yours without ridicule - when you grow up and are 12 you might understand the ironry in your comment.

  • @skittles1773

Oh that is interesting coz you think I am not entitled to my own opinion either. You just don't get it do you. I expressed a view and you slag it off .You think I am not going to say anything in reply? The point is I expressed a personal view in respect of the song not slagging off what others thought of it. Wat you said woz a personal attack on me and I am entitled to reply - you don't like it? well I think I can live with that you clearly can't but that is no surprise

  • "She needs me" ? Get over yourself!

  • @skittles1773 get over yourself asshole

  • @dimdom21

take a hike and find your own asshole if you have any idea where it is - oh yes I'll give you a clue where it is - it sits on top of your shoulders inside that thing you call a skull but then again your asshole has a useful bodily function so perhaps it isn't in your skull as that would suggest you are alive from the waist up which clearly is not the case. People put genuine comments on if you cant hack it just go and take a shit in the corner of your bedsit.

  • @dimdom21 lol why did you write that comment at yourself :P change it fast cos it was really funny, i laughed at least and that rarely happens unless im the one making the jokes

  • He would make a really good Doctor Who...

  • @MrGeeMajor he'd make a cracking Doctor Who. Yeah mate.

  • The third Guillemots album 'Walk The River' is available to preorder now.

  • @fyfedangerfield

I love this song. The last verse 'faster than the setting sun we'll run away' makes me weep but personal reasons that those words just do. They way Fyfe sing it is just so .....

  • He sounds like he has a passion for singing - unlike some of the singers these days.

  • herd this on a eden world tour advert some natural thing xD and it got stuck in my head lol had to find out wht it was good song :D

  • @planetwave Dude I showed up here to comment that about Eden's World Tour but you've taken the words right out of my keyboard! Freakin' brill!

  • Wonderful man with a wonderful voice. <3

  • Heard this on an advert lastnight and foundddd the song. It's amazing.

  • @myVintageDoll

I know I was looking for this song as well it's on the advert for Eden channel wth the silverback gorilla going nuts!

  • Also heard it on advert for Eden( then spent ages finding out who it was). Sorry to hear about Kelly Groucutt passing way. I met him and Jeff Lynne many years ago before gig in Glasgow , Kelly signed my ticket and was real gentleman ,Jeff Lynne was arrogant dick. Anyway this is a great track!

  • reminds me of everyday people by sly and the family stone, fantastic tune this man has talent

  • Loves this, heard it on an advert on Eden when watching Walking With Dinosaurs ahahah :')

  • in other news i could not love this elo / mcalmont & butler sounding track more if i tried!

  • @kezadrone it is indeed very elo-esque, us north worcestershire folk were drip fed Elo during the our early years in th 80s... but there will be no reforming, Kelly Groucutt passed away 2 yrs ago :(

  • anti-climatic

  • he's got such a wonderful voice!!

    love it!

  • Heard it on waterloo road and fell in love with it! -3.

  • I've been looking for this song FOREVER! :D

  • @HalfordNick what an insult.

  • amaazeee :)

  • Secretary: Mr Dangerfield, Jeff Lynne's on line 2

    Fyfe: Give him ten grand.

Great song. I can't believe it only charted at 152 in the UK.

  • One of my fav songs of last year, yes, an ELO influence, especially with the strings build up to the chorus, but thats a good thing. The bottom line is this is still a great Fyfe song.

  • Good song, but reminds me the Golden Girls theme song whenever I hear it.

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you to James Cordon who had this in his top ten of the year - now I know why! Have bought the album too

  • @mdotlista thats where i heard it too!!!

  • Love this - such a feel good song xx

"This is where I want to be"

  • i love this song, but his cover of "she's always a woman" is miles better in my opinion :D!!

  • Heard this for the first time this morning on radio1.. and i have to say I was hooked first listen :D Just awesome, its been a long time since a song has had me speechless on first listen!

  • пайдет, так себе.

  • I absolutely adore him. Why is Justin Bieber famous but Fyfe is not? The music gods need to have their hearing checked.

  • @vaquera76 I don't think they care that much about fame as that little girl or boy....THING.....the thing is I think they know they make good music and they just live it

  • @vaquera76 - Don't you think that if he was that famous all the attractive magic would be gone?...

  • @vaquera76 the world are loaded with sheeps ..thats why :)

  • he sounds like ewan mcgregor

  • Definitely an ELO influence here,MAGIC !!!!

  • seine Stimme ist nichts, aber die melodie!!! einfach hammer!!!!!!einfach!!!!! er musste nicht singer!!!!!!!! eine instrumentale version wäre die Wahnsinn!.................

  • some amazing music

it was great @ amy macdonald

  • Thank you so much!!! like the below poster I have been trying to find the song on the Nickelodeon advert showing in the UK... Finally I can rest :)

  • ARGHHHH I love this! Been searching for this since I saw it on that nickelodeon advert! :D

  • i just fucking love this song im 45 and no good music when i hear it. and it is very Bernard butler whom i also love

  • @anch0rman13Lol your 45 and spell know, 'no', you joker :P .

  • @Codebreaker250 does it matter if he hasnt know correctly

  • @DCFC79 It was a joke, hence the ;P

  • @anch0rman13 I though it sounded more like the ELO. Also they're reforming defo this time.

  • hes bin listening to ELO records very "livin thing" riffy to me..

  • i was really hoping this was going to be a shelly duvall cover. dammit.

  • The Guillemots are coming back with an album pretty soon according to their FB page.

Nevertheless, Fyfe's solo was one of the best albums of 2010. The double CD edition is specially mind-blowing.

  • no offence Fyfe, he has a lovely voice and his cover of Billy Joels song was amazing but please just go back to what Guillemots do best and make music together. This is pale, uninspiring pop and Fyfe is so much more. Check out FALLING OUT OF REACH or MADE UP LOVESONG

  • Do you guys know who the Guillemots are? Because this really pales in comparison. Not even a comparison between this and something like "São Paulo" or "Little Bear"

  • Love to see him live..

  • sounds great. excellent ambient, songwriting and interpreting... talented artist he is

  • *replay* *replay* *replay* *replay*

    :D <3

  • Bernard Butler had to have something to do with this. Good :)

  • Bernard Butler

  • Stunning artist.. The 80's meets the 2010's

  • @jeremy78210 The 70's meets the 2010's more like.

  • Stunning artist.. The 80's meets the 2010's

  • Great song. Could have been written & performed by George Harrison. Sounds like something from that era

  • @donny5018 :)) yes

  • saw him live at freedom last night :)

  • uh, definitely ELO... but i dig it!

  • Great song.

  • yeah she definitely needs me

  • This song is the best.

    Just amazing.

    Addictive.

  • I love this track but then I love ELO so it's inevitable !!

I was so sure it must be jeff Lynn Producing that I googled it !

  • lovely little song

  • This is a different version to the one on the album... think I prefer it

  • this song comes on at work and my god i love it!!!!

  • Yeah, def some ELO ummmm.... influence :)

  • @unifynormal Defo ELO sound in there and a pinch of bowie and Dimond also . But the best tune I've heard outside the late 70's stuff.

  • It's rare that a song can be so powerful in boosting your mood but this song really does that, if I ever need to give my mood a lift, which is quite often, I'll turn this up extra loud, stick it on repeat and I know I can rely on it! I love this song and I'm so glad I discovered Fyfe Dangerfield's music.

  • god, i love HIM

  • I like this song...A lot ahaa

  • is it bad that i love fyfe ??? xD

  • whoo hooo! Great, love it

  • great song =]

  • Magic, magic and more magic

  • Yes it certainly does sound like ELO....a sort of more modern ELO but still with the trademark strings. I think at some parts of the song he even sounds a bit like Jeff Lynne! And theyre for teh same city....Birmingham I believe! The string arrangements are SO ELO tho! fantastic!! Why cant there be more songs like this these days.....strings add so much depth and feel good factor to a song.

  • @TheShep1970...a total yes on the ELO comparison...and I know that that is why this song made me take pause and really listen to it! And well said about the strings...there definitely should be more songs like this out there! Cheers

  • The beginning bit sounds like beat it Michael Jackson.

  • @lauraEIL thanks for clearing that one up for me. I did hear he was from the Birmingham area, or perhaps studied there, I can't quite remember. The city sky-line shots looked rather familiar. AH WELL, thanks again!

  • Great song, looooove it

  • Love this song sooooo much. I know Fyfe is from the Midlands, but I can't shake off the idea that the video looks a bit like it was filmed in Birmingham. Any ideas people?

  • Comment removed

  • @ThomHodkinson It was filmed in the centre of London... I was lucky enough to be at the album launch back in November, which took place in the room that this was filmed. After the gig, they set the room up and they started filming a few hours later.

  • looks like biffy cliro

  • A Great Song, it sounds a bit like George Harrison, which is a good thing

  • This song is so good. I LOVE IT!! I listen to it at least 3 times a day :D

  • this is what would of happened if ELO and george harrison would of got together and jammed ! thankfully fyfe did it for us :) thanks fyfe

  • @400mik Jeff Lynne of ELO produced a lot of George Harrisons work, most notably Cloud Nine. During these recordings they did often jam together then went on to form THE TRAVELLING WILLBURIES with Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and Roy Orbison. If you've missed these bands, albums it's a must buy...

  • @gonghandi thanks for letting me no mate ! ill look it up :)

  • I love this song...and his other tunes which i keep discovering are AMAZING too :)

  • Edisonl Lighthouse' 'Love grows where my Rosemary goes' anyone??
