And if you'd bother yourselves enough to look for some information on these guys who call themselves "The Ten Tenors", you'd figure out that this is what they are meant to be: a humoresque act. They are australians and they just enjoy singing together and have their audiences. Why do you look for the perfect version of a DUET here in a ten-guy ensemble? Give me a break! I saw the Ten Tenors in concert - There Opera Medly was entertaining. Based on this performance I would have to question whether all arias, duets, etc. should be subject to this style of interpretation - not to mention the tenor 1 vocals are horrific!

OK, first of all, why the heck would 10 people sing a duet? Second of all, why would a group of only tenors sing a song for baritone and tenor? Third of all, what's the point of their group anyway? The whole reason for the founding of the "Three Tenors" was to bring singers of reputation into popular culture--Domingo, Pavarotti and Carreras. I recognize not one of the '10 Tenors'

I have been listening to various pairings sing this wonderful duet the past few days - and then I found this. Mind you, I have greatly admired the work of the Ten Tenors. But someone, as you hinted, should have counseled them that half of a great performance is in the selection of a piece that matches your talent. This fails on so many grounds. Alas.

True--I'm sure they perform reasonably well on popular, less challenging songs, but not only have they transposed "Au Fond du Temple Saint" downward, but sound ludicrious with their poor diction and contrasting style. An overambitious group of amateurs perverting an art form, in my humble opinion.

pobre bizet, si escuchara esta pésima interpretación le daría un ataque, es que todavía no logro entender como se hacen llamar THE TEN TENORS cuando realmente las notas notas agudas que INTENTAN cantar les salen horribles, se les apreta la garganta, y tienen una nasalidad horrible, es una falta de respeto que se hagan llamar tenores. Creo que deberían escuchar a Bryn terfel y a Roberto Alagna para apreciar una buena interpretación de este duo.
