@XashspoonX The Fox and the Cat are a fox and a cat in the original Collodi book, just like Jiminy is a talking cricket (well, he's not called Jiminy in the book, yet—just The Talking Cricket).
Obviously, Disney wanted to keep the characters the same species they'd originally been. In the book, there are more humanized animal characters too; even the transformed donkeys can still speak English.
@sailoreris123 "Honest John" is really a sly spinster getting people in trouble just to make a fast florin (I say that because the story is set in Italy), and his real name is J. Worthington Foulfellow. Ever heard of being "sly as a fox"? That's this guy.
Goodness, that's one of best thing I've ever seen!! I like Foulfellow a lot and that song's just written for him! (Would you mind telling me where did you find it? I'm just curious.) 5/5 and this gem is going to my favs right now! :)

@XashspoonX Can you put lyrics for this song please?
idiotlimrocks2 11 months ago
@idiotlimrocks2 I would but I can't find them anywhere, and I can't understand it that well to type them up.

Honest John's the best! I think it would have been fine to keep this song in the movie but,"Hi Diddle Dee Dee" is also good.

I looked it up. It IS a deleted song from the movie.

Sounds more like a song from back in the day or could be a supplement on the DVD. I could be wrong on either.

@sailoreris123 Could be because a fox is considered crafty and cunning?

@bynumtr How did you make Honest John's costume?
My friends and I are doing a Pinocchio theme this year, and I'm going as Foulfellow.

Great song!
One thing though. What are the lyrics from 00:56 to 01:03 ?

I wouldn't trust him as far as I'd trust Robert Taylor with my new honey or a burglar with all my money.
Robert Taylor was an actor of the 30's and 40's.
