  • Thank you. Beautiful! 101st Airborne Trooper.

  • Beautiful music accompanying the video is quite moving. Vietnam veterans will always be special to me -- growing up and as a kid during the era this war and the men and women who served in it will stay close to my heart and part of my identity.

  • When I see us here so young it breaks my heart . and for our buddies who didn't make it back they will be forever young in our hearts and our memories.and for us its always like yesterday somehow.

Just a thought... thanks for this tribute. And Welcome home Brothers and Sisters

  • "OLD SOLDIERS NEVER DIE: YOUNG ONES DO" - that was the inscription on the Zippo lighter of a poor young soldier whose body we through on a chopper 40 years ago after the 173rd Airborne was supposed to go home under Nixon's re-election campaign to "end the war". Only the flag and the generals went home, the rest were re-assigned to the 101st. It seemed sad at the time that none of us even knew his name, but the worst part is that the "end the war" slogan seems to be happening all over again.

  • @micheal47comcastnet

    Fucking New Guy. :)

  • @micheal47comcastnet ...and I would try to talk you out of it. I did my two tours in my mid to late twenties, and I know now it was the stupidest, thing I or my country ever did. No, second stupidest. The second Iraq war was the stupidest. Bless you, brother.

  • Proud to have served my country. Vietnam 1970-71 --YO-3A.com

  • I turned 24 when I was in country in 1970 at Marble Mountain. Sometimes it seems like that time is just in the rear view mirror, and other times it seems like so long ago. I salute those who never made it home, and who will remain forever young in our hearts and memories.

    Semper Fidelis!

  • 'The Vietnamese people deeply love independence, freedom and peace. But in the face of United States aggression they have risen up, united as one man.'

    Ho Chi Minh

  • God dident make war he dident want it to happen but now the vets brave enough to fight in vietnam there souls will live on forever at there grave no matter where these people will not be for gotten for years.

  • 3:24 dude smiling for the camera?!

  • MY BROTHER WENT TO AFGHANISTAN AND FUCKING HATED EVERY MIN OF IT.

he's never been the same since, he was lifting dead body's from the forward fire base into choppers for extraction, Afghan civilians and British soldiers they both went on the same chopper...He was suicidal for a while until we tried are best to sort him out! He pressed the self destruct button and didn't care any-more if he lived or died..sad but true!

  • None in my family was in war or army, closest member was great grandpa who died at Piava in WW1. But whole family is nonmilitary, than I come with this whole feeling for the dead in war and tend to cry at videos like this from unknown reason, its not in my blood but somewhere inside me is deep feeling for this, And when someone says age 19 and war in one sentence Im crying like turtle. Dont know why. Hope I will not have to expirence war and I thank to all who went to war so I dont have to.

  • This video makes me so sad it is so sad to know that so many young men died in a war that was so senseless but I am so very proud of all the men and women who serve in our armed forces thank you so much for all the loyality and service you all did for this country you are all very special and have my highest respect.

  • Nam 68'

  • In the "Art of War" there is a quote " The war is only sweet for the one who never participated in it!" my great grand father was in WWI, my grand father was in the Portuguese colonial war, my godfather was in Afghanistan and next month he´s gonna go to Kosovo! i grew up wanting to be like them but they want me to be diferent from them

  • wow you make war look so cool, but wait it isnt its blood and snot tears and fear, love ones lost to us all forever which ever side your on bullets and bombs dont discriminate...grow up and stop thinking live is ps3 game

  • It's a tribute to everyone that served in the war.

    I hope it doesn't look like a PS3 game.

    War is NOT cool.

  • @redkop

If I thanked each vet every day since Vietnam,it would not be enough. What is "cool" is that there are such humans in the world who would fight for each and every one of us. Soldiers don't make wars, they simply fight them for us. We owe many a fallen hero the luxury of freedom we take for granted. God Bless then All!

  • My dad made 7 beach landings in WWII, We flew the flag everyday in our front yard. He never said much about war but about 'Nam he said something I'll never forget: "You cannot fight a battle from the White House or Pentagon. You have to fight it on the front. Thanks for your service and WELCOME HOME TROOP!

  • The biggest shame about the Vietnam war, is that the US government wouldn't allow the US Military to complete the job they sent them there to do!! That is to completely destroy the North Vietmanese war machine NORTH OF THE DMZ by means of the B52's bombing the North. SHAME ON ALL THE SCUM PROTESTERS that shunned and ostracized the brave and courageous VETS from the US, AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND. As a Kiwi, I am proud of all Vietnam Vets, but our governments WOULD NOT STAND BY OUR MEN & WOMEN?????

  • I am 37 years old. I have a 4 year old son and another child on the way. I would like to say thank you to all our veterans. On behalf of myself and my family. Your sacrifices are truly appreciate. This video brought tears to my eyes and I wanted to just say THANK YOU.

  • Update : The original song was The Doors : The End.

  • They go in and kill about 3mil civilian... Yes they deserve a tribute idd.

  • America owes our Vietnam Veterans an apology!

  • @Kelthuzad126 The pinko hippies that spit on them, burned our flag, and ran like cowards to Canada? They are now in Washington D.C. Cant you tell?

  • @Kelthuzad126 They only apologize to to leaders of other countries.

  • @ Kelthuzad126 perdon pero yo no los mande ni les debo, en realidad ese mandarin y sus mandarines le deben mas q mucho a AMERICA ..............LATINA NO?

  • @ExtremeAnalDischarge

Good job asking for more flame.

  • 28 Gook ears.

  • @ExtremeAnalDischarge

    Good job asking for flame.

  • It's men like the ones memoralized here that made me enlist 10 years ago...

  • To geroge , dennis, nat and pete god bless!!!!!,

  • to all soilder past, present and the future

  • Doc, Smitty, Red and Northern miss you guys

  • rotoday is from Romania. The site looks like a dummy site. ( well, I guess his comments prove that!) Regardless he is just a bad guy. Out of all the countries we saved we only asked for one thing. Enough land to bury our dead. Commies take people, their land and keep it. Lock and load rotoday is not the only fair game out there.

  • Opening picture had General Westmoreland in it. I received my purple heart from him while laying in a bed in CuChi

  • We were all so young, my 19th birthday was in country. Brothers in arms forever!

  • The average age of a soldier there was 19.

  • @picksboy as was my 20th and 21st. I was an old man by the time I got back to the World.

  • @picksboy my 21st Birthday was in country - first time (and only time) I gave mouth to mouth was on my birthday. Another time and another world. Welcome home BRO. We made it and so many others didn't.

  • Nicely done. Canon in D...interesting.

  • nice clip. thank god for the USA,AUSSIE,S,BRITISH AND MORE!!!

  • I'm not a American.

  • Well at least our government is stable.

  • Exactly.

  • @rotoday die of cancer please

  • @rotoday and what state are you?

  • @rotoday well we have given back what you think we take! germany speaks german and has its flag, so those japan we have killed in the past and we will in the future but I see a world better with USA! what of yours?

  • @rotoday But I am and I'm proud of the fact that our nation has sent more soldiers to fight and die for foreigners than for americans. I'm pround that we've protected the rights and liberties of so many. Just remember this "There are only two people who are willing to die for you. Jesus and an American Soldier." You know what after I graduate from High School I'm going into the Army and I'm willing to die for you Rotoday, even though I don't know you, to protect your rights and freedoms.

  • @looking4565 Your pride and your convictions are good. But as the wife of a man who was sworn into the USAF on his 17th birthday & did 3 tours in 'Nam and retired from the AF after 20 years.... Never let your pride overtake reason... Learn to be as strong in your soul as your body and please, fight to never lose your soul to the horrors that are part of war.

Be safe, be strong and always know that many will honor and respect your courage and honor.

  • The Song is Called Canon!! Woo I found it! But I just cant find THIS version of it D:

  • Peace be with you all whom served any War.

  • @mroddy0862 same to you brother

  • So sorry, all. Those WMG Motherfuckers have muted this awhile back... So I reuploaded it, and I WILL Keep it up.

If they don't mute it, then younger generations will buy it on CD... Dumbasses they are.

  • Hello there, I really really love this Piano melody.

Do you think I can please get the name of this Piano song? And this is a very strong tribute, God bless those Veterans.

  • A huge shame the original song was muted, but I am glad it is still good with this song! (Definitely not my type of song.)

Wish I could say what the song is called, but I do not remember since it's been too long.

Maybe somebody else could answer? :D

  • Ohh, dang it. I really like it, can somebody else please tell me this song? Thank you.

  • As i slide down the bannester of Life...I will always remember Vietnam as the splinter in my ass. Roofrog ST2 buds1979

  • Never Heard it put that way but it is quite appropriate and also the splinter in our heads.
