  • 1:23-1:46 One of the most beautiful moments in any song.

  • @Movielover87

You have no idea how long I have searched for this song because I had it in my head for so many years. I heard it when I was a little kid in my fathers car. I hated all his music when I was young. He said: "You are going to like it someday." I didn't believe him.

And years passed by. 12 years later I could cry from this.

  • 1:23-1:46. One of the most beautiful moments in any song.

  • @daCritic1000 ......I think live performances were probably always a bit risky with McGowan. After as many gin and apples as he liked to drink, I'm surprised he didn't fall off the stage. Still there's nobody else that could replace his voice ...... he's a legend. But I do seem to remember that his alcoholism had a fair bit to do with the bands decline......but maybe that's wrong?

  • @miriamnz Opinions are never wrong my friend! Cheers

  • Christy McCaul, right? Died in a boat accident a few yrs back? Or am i thinking of someone else?

  • @polmaccaba Cait O'Rierden, not sure if I spelled it right. Kisty McCool was on Fairytale Of New York on the next CD. Cait left the group when she married Elvis Costello.

    Both great singers however.

  • @shumirules1 Fair enough, thanks for clarifying, great song! Christy was great though, she will be missed by many many people.

  • @shumirules1 she married that muppet?

  • whose singing here?

  • @DwayneRydell Cait O'Riordan

  • @77droog77 wow, I had no Idea until I heard this song that one of the pogues was a girl...there's nothing wrong with it, I just had no clue...

  • @DwayneRydell she left and married Elvis Costello, who co-produced the album

  • What a splendid tune.
