@PhazeModz No. You have to brake using the speedbrakes (aka spoiler or air brakes) and thrust reverser after landing. If you use parking brakes, it could catch fire at the landing gear
Nice tutorial. How much power did you need to hold 140 knots with flaps extended so far? I know this is the way a real a/c is configured for landing, but in FG I usually do not extend flaps beyond three units and even then I need to add some power to ensure that the speed does not drop below 135 knots.
@sculpted1 push the equipment button at the top and then go down to gps in the bottom right it will tell you a bearing number for the airport you just took off from and how far away you are. it also shows a track number in there which is your heading so you can adjust your heading by watching that number while you turn. Go to "type" and select "airport" then click the Nrst button and it will tell you which airport is closest to you and the bearing to get there, push next for other close airports
Got some question regarding fuel pumps and fuel cutoff: In my version of this plane in FlightGear I can't use the switches for the pumps [XFD etc.] (they are clickable but console just prints an "undefined" error message) or the fuel cut-off to shut down the engines. I always have to do this using Equipment -> Fuel and Payload and then disable the left, right and center tanks to shut down. Has the version you are using (my version even has no yoke) a better functioning cockpit?
@flightgearvideos, if i got a free download from the internet, do yout hink its a demo? cause it has a bunch of planes, like this one and a couple cessnas and the f-14 and other stuff. another question, do you use a joystick or no?
why don´t you just get fs2004 waaaay better

Nice video , but it might have been easier to switch the ND to "APP" mode. Then you can see your offset from glideslpoe and localizer.

Good instructions, but you were way too low on the approach and not aligned on the RWY. Did you touchdown on the grass?
Wookierabbit 1 year ago
@Wookierabbit Yes, I admit I was a bit low. However, I did not touchdown on the grass, I touched down a bit after the runway started.
