So I was wondering... how do you feel about the way the video is put together? Do you think it does the experience justice? And should these people be allowed to roam throughout the park like they are? What do their actions do to the ecosystems in the park, and how do their activites change the way that you feel about taking a hike in this park?
Gee. I believe that humans are PART OF THE ECO SYSTEM. My car is part of the ECO System. I say; "STOMP ON". If the park is totally changed by humans then that's the natural progression of life on Earth. If we destroy the Earth (like the volcano's for example) then that's the natural progression. STOMP ON!
Uh-huh. And do you see other animals hogging our water? Killing us for sport? Putting theme parks in valuable swampland? Polluting the air? Clubbing us?
Ontopic again--I love Yosemite, and I think the park does a good job of PRESERVING the place by maintaining it for our benefit, keeping it from greedy developers and whatnot.
Well, I donno. Humans evolved naturally and do what's natural to them. When I hike into Turtledome in the winter and see the "big kitty" tracks I feel like I'm being hunted. Cows blow Methane Gas. I just wish they'd run the rotten Yosemite Village burger joint out of town and place a Pizza Hut. I do drive a green car.
What's natural for all animals, including us, is to get what they need to survive, not greedily grab everything. Civilization and recreational facilities, like restuarants and theme parks, are okay if they don't push limits.
I like the video clip... the music is a bit overwhelming in that it's a little hard to hear the narration at times. Coolness!

Interesting questions...look forward to hearing different folks' responses...I would like to know what you think...
But your posting does remind me of an extremely funny recent email I received regarding the 'History of Math'
