if this was back in the 70's it would be a cool nickname, so why all the fuss now because we dont have broadcasters that like to mix it up at all, seems like the scared ass broadcasters anymore can only give nicknames to people who's lastname have ROD in it, a-rod, K-rod. It almost all they do is take the first letter from first name and1st 3 from lastname, thats all they do anymore, dont hate on the guy.
