  • ahh! thanks a lot! :D

  • Powdered sugar is the Regular Sugar 0.0??

  • @pwincess2695 powdered sugar/confectioner's sugar/icing sugar: it's not regular granulated sugar, it's pounded into a smooth, white powder which translates into smooth, creamy frosting.

  • ive been looking for this your a life saver :D

  • @TheKendara oh good, glad to help! thanks for watching.

  • angie, I use butter milk in my chocolate frosting.

other wise we do it the same way.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • @frugalnanny yum!

  • Thanks, can't wait to try this on cupcakes!

  • your an awesome chef. :D you should be on the next food network star. :D

  • @ChickeyNuggetPro thank you, that's sweet!

  • For the non Americans out there, the imperial measurements are roughly:

    1 cup = 250-260mL

    1/3 cup = 83.3 - 85mL

    1 tsp = 5mL

Use powdered sugar, not the grainy type of sugar that we use most of the time (it will make the frosting very grainy, since the crystals will have a hard time to dissolve, if you don't have powdered sugar, simply put the regular sugar in a blender until all the crystals turns into powder, it will do the job.) For the cocoa, make sure to use UNSWEETENED cocoa powder.

  • How do I thicken the frosting without adding more confectioner sugar??..Its already too sweet.

  • @samlad364 Google it. Merry Christmas!

  • @samlad364 Lol....thats I feel when I'm watching European videos. The difference is that I don't get mad I just do the conversion like a sane person would do. But you made great use of the f-word. Your american english is pretty good.

  • @Lakota505 The difference is that a metric measure is a definitive measure, I.e. 100 milliliters in England is 100 milliliters in America, 100 milliliters in Japan and so on and so forth.

However a cup is not. I.e. 1 "customary" cup in America is 237 milliliters, but 1 "legal" cup in America is 240 milliliters. 1 cup in Australia is 250 milliliters, and 1 cup in Japan is 200 milliliters etc...

The point I'm making is that when reading/watching recipes, is one meant to assume what cup is needed?

  • @Lakota505 Assuming the wrong cup could result in a problematic outcome in the kitchen, too much made, too little, wrong consistency and so on...

    OR

The world could be a better, more accurate place if imperial measurements were used. EXCLUDING CUPS!

  • @samlad364 I think some one had a stressful Christmas. I'd say Merry Christmas but you might get mad at me to so Happy Christmas.

  • @samlad364 I'm English too:) and i would love to know how many grams one cup is! So i'm on your side :P

  • @Emsywemzy1 It's not that hard for you all to go google the measurements yourself. She is simply just giving the recipe she uses and how she does it. She's not going to say all these other forms of measurements just to please everyone.

  • @samlad364 lol

    i fully agree with u

but u got the chop lol

  • @samlad364 Why are you so angry? I think you should be band from posting.....

  • @samlad364 Why do you have to be rude? If she is American then she is going to say the measurements as how she actually measures ingredients. If she was British then she would do measurements that are used there. It wouldn't be any different. That would be ridiculous if she said all kinds of other measurements. 1 cup is equal to this and this is equal to that. Geez get a grip, it's not that hard to look up meaurements yourself.

  • I added 1/3 of milk and thne it made it too runny! It was fine without it. I tried adding more icing sugar and then it tasted too sweet. :(

  • @kaityKATASTROPHE13 I'm sorry to hear that! I've never had a problem with the measurements but perhaps other factors were affecting yours...but now you know what works for you and that you don't want it too sweet! thanks!

  • Mine's pretty similar except I use hot water instead of milk. I do this because I don't like refrigerated cake, and frosting made with milk will sour/ spoil pretty quickly.

  • Thanks! Been wanting to know how to make homemade chocolate frosting.

  • wow holy!!!!!!! dam this is sooooo freaken choclatey... :I wow this is veryy veryy sweet

  • question. :)

    can i use caster sugar?

can i use lesser sugar than in the video, since i want it to be less thicker?

  • @BedakSejukPutih I just made this last night. for this recipe you need icing sugar (confectioner's sugar, powdered sugar) and to thin it you would add more milk. hope that helps (caster sugar is like brown sugar, correct?)

  • @a1angiem

caster sugar is heavily granulated white cane sugar :)

  • thanks!

  • jst want to make some clarrification.how much milk did u put in it?

  • @mrskytes23 Sure, it's a 1/3 of a cup...the recipe is written out up there under the video in the information - click on the chevrons to reveal it...hope that helps!

  • How long will it take to make this frosting? I'm making it now, and it seems to not be changing its consistency...

  • @IdaWasHere94 like, 3 minutes! Just add more sugar to make it thicker...hope you haven't given up!

  • Thanks for the TUT!!!!!!!!!!

  • Can i use water instead of milk? i have a friend who's allergic :)

  • @AdoptMeToo sure...just won't be as creamy and flavourful...maybe soy milk would be better.

  • @a1angiem ok thank you! :)

  • How big is cup? I mean how meny dcl?

  • @venera999 2 ½ Dcl. :)

  • wish you would use measurements not cup size

  • @ShaoTanto no, not really. it "sets up" if you refrigerate it but stays as soft as when you put it on the cake...if you leave it out it gets the thinest of a crust on it but really it just stays soft.

  • can i use a normal sugar instead of powdered sugar? (:

  • @yelimful not for this particular recipe...sorry :(

  • That sounds really yummy and easy.

I want to make some of those cake pops for a kid´s party and the recipe calls for a can of frosting to mix with the crumbled cake in order to make cake balls.

I can´t easily find canned frosting where I live so I was wondering if this recipe could work just as well. Or a recipe for white frosting , either would be equally appreciated.

I really lool forward to your response .

    Thank you very much,

    YTfancol

  • @YTfancol Sure, frosting is frosting I guess! That sounds like a messy recipe! lol! my vanilla recipe is at the end of my "Banana Cake" video - just as easy. hope that helps - never heard of that cake pops idea!

  • @a1angiem Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. Cake pops are all the rage now for kids parties.

  • thats alot of suger... haha but it taste good i bet

  • hey do you know how to make white frosting thanks

I did not add any vanilla but it was still fantastic!

Thank you very much for putting this up.

  • @amychawla1 NOt sure what you mean...the recipe is written under the video...let me know...

  • @a1angiem I have sad news for you, as a truther trying to wake up the world, people will not or are unable to read. I have a reupload of a funny video that has all the links of the original owner, the itunes and more and even had the title with big letters across it...they said it was a stolen video and where could they get the itunes..We are in dire straights..thanks for the recipe!! I went straight to the info!

  • how much milk did u put in the chocolate icing

  • Comment removed

  • @navdeep543 I wouldn't recommend eating it out of the bowl!

  • AT freaking lasst i find a halfway decent chocolate icing heheXD

  • @xxlivenoworneverxx Yay! It's pretty good - you'll want to lick the spoon! Thanks...

  • what is icing sugar?

  • @MyVICTORIA68 powdered sugar, confectioner's sugar...very finely ground sugar, may contain anti-caking agent...hope that helps!

  • I'm gonna try this. sounds fun!

  • Great recipe!

  • how do you make powdered sugar? PLZ REPLY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

  • @sassy09sasha06 I just buy it at the store: also know as: icing sugar or confectioner's sugar. Someone commented below that you can grind regular sugar in a food processor but I've never tried it. Just go to the baking aisle in any grocery store and purchase some - it is not expensive or fancy.

  • @a1angiem thx!

  • @a1angiem hi again I was wondering if we can cover the cake with the chocolate frosting than put fondant on top? PLZ REPLY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE PLZ

  • @sassy09sasha06 Well, I don't work with fondant but I don't think you could put it overtop of regular icing...

  • @sassy09sasha06 From other videos and from what I've read fondant works best over homemade "buttercream" frosting.

  • love your kitchen

  • IF U BLEN SUGAR IN A BLENDER IT MAKES POWDERED SUGAR

  • can you just use regular sugar?

  • wow thank you so much!

  • is powdered sugar the same as icing sugar?

  • @ThePaopuFruitLover Yes, that is correct.

  • too much milk......

  • @M4037331 people like you take out the negative from every single thing!! @M4037331

  • i dont have powdered sugar, can i use regular sugar instead?

    (pls. reply)

  • @vrindzii No, not in this particular recipe. Sorry.

  • @vrindzii you can make your own powder sugar at home, like i do.....add i cup of regular sugar with 2 teaspoon of corn starch in a food processor and grind until you get powdered sugar :)

  • @vrindzii

You can make your own powdered sugar by pulverizing regular sugar.

  • @vrindzii you could put the regular sugar in a blender for about 2 to 4 minutes and it will be exactly same.. Just remember to grind well and make sure it is well granulated, to be sure use a net. Swift the sugar and the not yet granulated don't go in the mixing. Hope I Helped :D

  • @vrindzii YOU CAN BLEND REGULAR SUGAR IN A BLENDAR AND IT MAKES POWDERED SUGAR :) IT WORKS
