  • he is a very cuteie

  • this is your computer network on dial up!

  • I wonder if my blue stinker would be interested in something like that..... hmmm

  • We have a very tame yellow male parrotlet. He's so much fun. He runs on a wheel too.

  • Very pretty birds, don't think i've seen these.

  • this just proves that parrot videos (i have a love bird) > cat videos

  • @cydney1220 ur welcome

  • AWESOME!! a bird on a mouse wheel. couldn't stop laughing, very very amusing

  • @NintendogsBark

What are you, the grammar ninja for youtube?? FYI, lizards poop. And if you accidentally ingest it you get salmonella poisoning. And birds are not rodents.

  • I wish I could thumb up this reply <3

He's so cute :3 Since I've not seen any, he makes me think of a canary, being so yellow!

  • aww how cute.

  • Linus and I miss Finn very much. he will forever be in the hearts of those who knew his snotty little parrotlet ways. :)

  • Adorable parrotlet. How old is he ? He is an American yellow. Check out some of our videos. We breed parrotlets.

  • Sadly, Finn died in my hands last December after a 10 minute round of seizures. Absolutely broke my heart. :( He was always small (never broke 24 grams) and my vet believes he was more than likely inbred. He would have been 2 on July 7th. He was given to me as a gift at 3 weeks old and I didn't have the heart to take it up with the breeder (however much I disagreed with their breeding policies (breeding for whites with directly related pairs)).

I will check out your videos, though. c:

  • Sad..My Green parrotlet died in his cage of a sickness. He was too young, he couldn't take it. We were planning to take him to the vet on Saturday but he died Thurday in his cage. He was 6 months old when he died.

  • woah ive never seen a yellow one! i have a green one :D. what toys do you recomend? we just got him.

  • Congrats on your new addition! How is he settling in? Finn loved things that moved or made noise. Anything he could get inside was always fun, too!

  • He's great but he is a plucker :/ we found him with a great deal of his feathers missing but hes made a great addition to our family :). I have found that he enjoys sitting in a little house we made him! And he loves trying to squeeze into my sleeve and crawl up my arm when im wearing a sweatshirt so ours have that in common!

  • Omg that is so adorable!!!

  • Wow...I've never thought of a hampster wheel; that was adorable. PizzaPete is Very impressed. Does your birdie fly? Pizza is over a year now and am wondering how I could get him to stay in it! He has such a mind of his own! You must have started this trick early on? Gae & PizzaPete

  • I never really 'taught' it to him, he just sort of hopped in. He isn't particularly interested in it anymore, but I do rotate it into his cage on occasion.

He does fly, quite well actually, though I think he had a bit of a clip when that video was taken.. It was done again against my wishes, but he's growing his flights back in again. c: Gotta love the little guys!

  • HI! Isn't that funny but PizzaPete gets bored with things too. He has a whole basket full of odds and ends. We'll have to compare notes on what we've thrown away...lolol When I get my ducks in a row, I'm going to try to get a parrotlet chat line going; what do you think? Are you subscribed to my channel? I'm going to write everyone in there to see if we could do that one the side. We all have so many interesting stories to tell! Gae

  • I love the PizzaPete and Bean videos!

I'm looking at a couple of parrotlets to pick one to buy. Not sure if I should get a handfed baby(or 2)- or a 3 yr-old male(I'll go check out his personality. I want one we can hold and is sweet etc. =)

    Amy =)

  • Hi Amy! Sorry I'm so late because I wanted to comment on your choice of birdies. Never get a bird that old (2-3 years old) but best choice is a male not over 8 weeks old, definitely hand fed. These little guys will still be parrotlets (but their bites are smaller...lolol) They are extremely sweet until they reach maturity, around a year old then is when the territory issues come into play. PizzaPete was more truly a parrotlet than any of my 4 other ones. Gae

  • Hi Gae-Thanks for the reply!

The Parrotlet I bought is 4 mths old- and I think I need even a younger one. He is so flighty, and bitey. I do have him coming out of the cage by bribing him with millet spray in a dish. Working on the scratching his head while wrapped in a blanket.

I don't see any improvement in his social skills even after two weeks.

    PIZZA PETE! heehee

    Amy =)

  • aww! Cool idea! I'm going to buy one too, so my budgies can try to play in it xD

  • gettin' in shape?

  • Wow, if my indian ringneck's tail was shorter i would get him a wheel! XD

This is such a clever idea, although, are you sure his claws wont get caught in the spokes of the wheel?

  • I have 2 parrotlets & Bubba my green LOVES is wheel. Balou my dilut blue is just starting to use his. You can see Bubbas video running in his wheel at bubbamarcy. I trirfd the hamster ball but Bubba ws scard do I didn't push it. Don't you just LOVE these little bird?

  • im getting my little yellow male parrotlet baby next week and my brother has one it is a green male

  • My parrotlets do this, too. They also walk in a hamster ball.

  • awesome!
