You can't disprove astrology, I'm an Aries (ram) or an astrological pig and I find myself idealistic, honest, arrogant, assertive, kind, attractive, with 6 as a lucky number (but 6 was unlucky when it was religious (why does it have to be 7 deadly sins, why not 6?)). It makes no logical sense, because the luck in astrology is a protection against religion, but then it's occultism that gives you confidence not from people but yourself, & then I'm supposed to choose what I feel like doing.
I was partly taught this in school, school teaches the science-like part of the pseudoscience, which is more accurate and rational without constellational theory.
A brilliant man, Sagan refused to sign The Humanist's 1974 anti-astrology manifesto. He said: “That we can now think of no mechanism for astrology is relevant but unconvincing. No mechanism was known, for example, for continental drift when it was proposed by Wegener. Nevertheless, we see that Wegener was right, and those who objected on the grounds of unavailable mechanism were wrong”.
Carl Sagan - "Our collective free time needs to shift as much as possible to education. Whether you're a young student or finished school long ago, get out to the library whenever you can and work hard to learn everything you can about this world. Each individual and society will benefit from being able to solve more problems and make better decisions. Education is an amazing discovery process that repays you endlessly."
Curious question here; he seems to use "fuzzy" as a dirty word. Is this just because fuzzy logic wasn't accepted in the 70s (80s?), or am I misreading his implications?
Gosh, his voice really reminds me of Hugo Weaving's Agent Smith. It draws you in very nicely, which probably contributed to his being an excellent teacher.
I don't know why astrologers complain so much - surely they should be able to see all these insults coming? Oh yeah, they can't. Astrology is just a load of rubbish.
If you track enough times a computers random generation function then sooner or later you'd find out the function isn't random anymore. It repeats it self. Everything at one point is a repetition, if you see the bigger picture. Similarly Astrology is the earliest Science of tracking, matching patterns and our ancestors have done a great job in it. It's nothing but analyzing gathered data and coming to conclusion. Astrology is early science but amazingly accurate than the present which deceives.
@tjxkid Astrology is anything BUT a science, early or late. Mankind in the beginning thought that gods were responsible for the weather, no matter that it repeated itself. That is, until science came along to explain the way nature works. That´s why astrology has been relegated to a pseudoscience, just like alchemy
@ebrobaru You seemed to use it to imply the validity of astrology. Please explain why large rocks floating in space and orbiting our sun influence our future? Astrologers make the fallacy of counting the hits and ignoring the misses. I've read through every star sign, and each one of them could apply to me, as well as any other person. Astrology is in no way a science.
YOU DID WHAT? READING OTHER PEOPLES STAR SIGNS?.... fool surely you know how much bad luck you get from that. Its practically a fact that everybody knows
@tjxkid The tracking and recording of different stars and constellations was certainly a good thing that early astrology brought about, but the purposes it was used for, predicting futures, is not correct.
@tjxkid Yes but Celestial Navigation by the stars is not "astrology". It's celestial navigation. The fact that positions were known was very helpful, but it is not really astrology. Maybe a by-product, but not astrology itself. But astrology in its true form I feel is incorrect due to the lack of evidence. Absence of evidence of evidence of absence, and so I feel that an absence of correlation is highly likely, if not certain.
hmmm lets see carl sagan a scorpio who are intelligent and tend to be more scientific and skeptical lol and wear red scorpios either become terrorist bums cult leaders or scientist psychologist investigators forensics etc
I like how Sagan takes a simple, no nonsense approach to disproving astrology's validity - but then again astrology isn't based on science so why take it seriously in the first place? I certainly don't.
@throbgrist Sagan never disproved astrology because he doesn't know anything about astrology. Sagan's ignorance is bliss. Astrology is about knowledge not the limitations of science. You don't take it seriously because you don't have imagination. Scientists who label a subject pseudoscience base their feelings on emotion rather than science.
@TheLogic1010 I don't take astrology seriously because it's not science. It has nothing to do with personal creativity. Scientists label something as pseudoscience because it doesn't stand up to scientific method. In that regard, please show me evidence why astrology is valid.
@throbgrist No astrologer has ever stated that astrology was a science? So by logic astrology can't be labelled a pseudoscience. As for evidence for astrology it does exist in massive amounts. The problem is that scientists are still behaving like children with their own conclusion. Have a look at Professor Foster of Oxfortd Uni who studied career and month of birth but still denies astrological reality. Astrology is indeed valid. The conclusions/feelings of scientists are sadly not!
@TheLogic1010 Ok, so show me evidence. Document it. How does what position the stars are in - light-years away from us (maybe aside from gravity) affect my life here on earth?
And your comment "no astrologer has ever labelled astrology as a science so by logic it can't be labelled a pseudoscience" is an admission not an argument. Think about what you've written here. You've just refuted your own claim.
@TheLogic1010 Astrology cannot be valid. it asserts that the lives of insignificant bags of carbon are influenced by the relative position of celestial objects.
@SCRulerShinoda Bags of water, rather. Carbon is a much smaller constituent. But how can you diss Jupiter like this? We'd be space debris without it. I'd classify that as influencing our lives. Maybe not next Tuesday, or last Thursday. But overall.
@sbergman27 I don't mean that it's not protecting us but influence in that it influences us based on positions of distant stars it ends up inside relative to our view.
@SCRulerShinoda I was, as they say "just funnin ya". ;-) Have you read "Mostly Harmless", the fifth book of Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy? It delivers a very.. interesting.. treatment of astrology, ultimately bringing it to our very living rooms.
@SCRulerShinoda I am not familiar with "And Another Thing". I'll look it up.
It is unfortunate that "Mostly Harmless" was Adams' last book in that series. He was only 49 when he died, completely unexpectedly. And in a previous interview, he noted that he had been in an unusually dark mindset while writing it. Almost certainly, he had intended to bring that cast of characters back after the fiasco at Stavromula Beta. If only Agrajag had had better teeth...
For a more enlightening (if not entirely accurate) approach to diagnosing and understanding the personalities of humans, try the MBTI.
Yes, it has its origins in Psychology, which doesn't have the most pristine of reputations when it comes to scientific objectivity, but still-- the MBTI produces meaningful insight if looked into with any level of curiosity.
I don't know much about astrology but I have watched video's about string theory which could be also labelled pseudoscience and a video with Carl Sagan describing about the primodial soup. The latter has no supporting evidence and could also be labelled pseudoscience.
@ebrobaru The string theory is unproven science and the primordial soup is utter fantasy unless you want to share some evidence/proof that these work or happened?
@ebrobaru Since there is a known relationship between the sunspots cycles and the motion of Jupiter, I think your comment about astrology being little more than superstition says more about your own ignorance than anything else.
@ebrobaru I don't think it needs explaining, if you can't see the relationship then there is no hope for you. That's why you can't see fuirther than the end of your nose. You have plenty to stay against asttrology but you can't see the significance of jupiter affecting the sun. Wise up!
@TheLogic1010 Yes, it would need explaining. But as usual, whenever supporters of astrology are questioned about the inner works about astrology, they just cry foul and the typical "wise up".
@ebrobaru What does it take to open the eyes of bias, closed mind set individuals like yourself. When given good evidence you don't want to see it, even from scientific sources. Not astrologers, from your very own science. Why do you question astrology when scientists have shown it to work and have validity? If jupiter can affect the sun, why then can't it affect the earth??
@TheLogic1010 WHat scientists have shown it works? When exactly? Where? Of course Jupiter affects the Earth, that´s normal. But it doesn´t affect Personalities or traits of humans. Please!
@ebrobaru Are animals and sea life not affected by the position of the moon, new and full? I think you know that the planets affect humans, but are too stubborn to admit. Science is slowly starting to come round to the idea, but won't admit astrology at work. Here goes just for you. Two Oxford professors, I can give names if you want have shown a link with health problems and month of birth, this is real happening now with their research.
@TheLogic1010 No, animal life are NOT affected by the moon. Tides are. Please explain exactly how does science is "starting to come round to the idea". Please give me the names and the studies of those Oxford Professors
@ebrobaru Ok, before I give you the names of the Oxford professors, I need to know how you are going to take this reality? Just reading a newspaper(Daily Mail 10/6/11) UK, scientists at Oxford University have discovered that your month of birth holds the key to future health.
Professor George Ebers and Professor Russell Foster.
Obviously the 2 professors didn't have the courage to admit that this was the same message astrology has been saying.
@TheLogic1010 Are you kidding here? This study was done in a scientific manner. The researchers themselves said, and I quote "I am not giving voice to astrology – it’s nonsense".
@ebrobaru So you have read the article? Are these so called scientists kidding, should be the question. To deny astrological reality because it doesn't fit in with scientific close mindedness. I'll steal astrology, paint it up as science and deny astrology. This scientific plagiarism is unacceptable? If you think it's ok, then what right do you have to question astrology?
@TheLogic1010 No, these scientists are not kidding. They made a scientific experiment, they showed tha causes of their conclusions. Yes, date of birth may affect your health because of Sun exposure, not the position of the planets. Geez, are you for real?
@ebrobaru The planets don't have an gravitional or electricalt or magnetic affect, which is lost to the material scientists. They collerate events. It wouldn't matter what evidence was presented because you would never accept the reality. For you to continue to post misleading arguments against astrology suggests there is a hidden agenda going on. Whatever your reasons, you will carry on and only convince those who want to believe your false sense of material reality.
@TheLogic1010 I´ll tell you what: Please present ANY evidence at all and then we can discuss it. Stop the typical nonsensical arguments that "I wont accept evidence". PRESENT the evidence first, and then we´ll see.
@ebrobaru What is the point. you have made up your mind? Why waste my time? You can test astrology yourself but deny its reality. Its as simple as that, start with your co - workers and family. Put them to the test. If your really serious, get your own evidence instead of believing that scientists have got all the answers. Do that and then get back!
@TheLogic1010 Haha, why I am not surprised with your answer. Typical "search for yourself", "get your own evidence". So, when asked to present some evidence you just back out. Come on, at least put up a decent fight
@ebrobaru Wrong my friend, I never said do an internet search. Your the big know it all, open your eyes and look at the people nearest to you. That should present all the evidence you need. When presented with valid evidence scientists start to make countless silly objections.
@TheLogic1010 When did I say anything about an "internet search". It seems that your celestial bodies keep failing you. Again I have to ask, WHAT VALID EVIDENCE?
@TheLogic1010 like carl sagan said in the video. the life and fate of twins who are born in the same place at the same time is always different. that is good evidence that astrology is hogwash. look at people who are born at the same time there are many, and their lives are vastly different. i have done these tests that you say, with co-workers, friends and family and astrology always seems to be inconsistent. so what other evidence can you present?
@EpicurusIVXX I totally disagree with your views about twins. It has been shown by scientists, not astrologers that twinned who have been separated at birth and live thousands of miles apart have amazing similar life events. Scientists at Oxford University have shown the date of month has a correlation with health complaints. NASA has demostrated who venus and jupiter affect the sunspots on the sun which correlates with events on our planet. The mars effect by psychologist Michel Gauquelin.
@TheLogic1010 not a single study has shown that twins living far apart die on the same day or do anything that astrology might predict on the same day. the similarities in twins is ALWAYS attributed to genetics and not anything to do with the stars. can you quote the study by the scientists at Oxford so i can look it over? doing a search of your claim about sunspots comes up with nothing credible especially not from NASA. continued ->
@EpicurusIVXX That study indeed exists and the Oxford professors claimed that the time that the unborn baby is in the womb is important at how many light and energy receives from the sum. In this same study, the professors also quoted that this study in no way validates astrology at all. Of course our friend TheLogic 1010, very conveniently forgets to mention this detail
@TheLogic1010 as for the Mars Effect: Some researchers argued that Gauquelin did not adjust the statistical significance of the Mars Effect for multiple comparisons. you can look that up as i dont have enough room here. finally if you examine where the sun rises on your birthdate you will notice it rises in the constellation directly after the one you are told is your sign. this is due to the fact that the zodiac was made at a time when the earths wobble placed the constellations differently.
In any case, sunspots and solar flares, if influences by Venus and Jupiter, would be influenced by their gravity in much the same way that the Moon influences Earth's oceanic tides.
Again, you haven't shown me any proof that sunspots coincide with Jupiter's 12-year orbital cycle. Where in the cycle? Aphelion? Perihelion? And why? What scientific reason would there be for the correlation?
"The trouble comes with people who are biblical literalists. They believe the Bible is dictated by the Creator of the universe to an *unerring stenographer* and has no *metaphor allegories*”
- Carl Sagan interview, Charlie Rose, Part 1
-
I agree with Sagan. People twist religious scripture, making it mean something it doesn’t. And unfortunately there were plenty of *erring stenographers* of then and today.
Only very narrow-minded IDIOTS with brain deteriation ask a meanspirited question. Change your name from timetraveler to the well-suited *STUCKINdampCAVE.*
Carl Sagan is a legend. My idol, Sagan stands for what will make humanity even greater. A true skeptic, humanist, and atheist. He even approved of the use of marijuana, look up "Mr. X by Carl Sagan" on google; it's a must read.
I understand the pessimistic attitude on Astrology. Like psychics there are a lot of fraudulent "Astrologers" out there - that is the problem. If anyone asked me if they should see an astrologer I would say, "don't waste your money." Like psychics, astrologers cannot tell you anything about yourself that you already don't know.
This video is old & dated. Since then, the horoscopular influencization of indiviualized fateular occurrences, events & happenings has been proven beyond doubt by the deflectudinal phase diffractioning in the cosmic microwave background anisotropy. Unfortunately the technology needed for that kind of study & analysis did not exist during Carl Sagan's lifetime, which led to Carl Sagan expressing this opinion about astrology. We know now that astrology is a proven, pseudo-scientific fabrication.
@VarykGerai ..for myself, the Tropical system is quite enough. If the Sidereal/Hindu Astrology works for those who use it ...GREAT. I've skimmed over some books on the subject. It doesn't interest me near as much as Tropical.
Sagan's "constellations" theory is easy for scientists to use against Astrology without differentiating between the types. Also, he speaks of negative emotional traits of some of the planets which I consider a moot point. Sagan generalizes too much.
sun sign astro descriptions in newspapers & magazines are truly a joke. can't imagine why anyone would "live their life" by reading them .... I don't think people do ... they just read for fun. sun thru the signs is higly superficial at best. No two leos will ever be alike.
Someday science and spiritual mysteries will come full circle and we will be able to measure the energies of the universe (and within ourselves) that science has yet to become aware of. As a casual observer of astrology, the only practical application that I have found, is to become aware the potential for personality conflicts in the hopes of minimizing any disharmony. To do this effectively, one must employ both Western and Chinese astrological systems, which incidentally both come from india
I like astrology. I don't believe in it, but i think it's possible to enjoy the mythology only for it's entertainment value. I also think religion should be treated that way.
@DeepAbsentia So actually you are saying that you use astrology while you don't believe in it? What joy or fun can you get from Astrology if you don't even believe it? What's the purpose of that, what entertainment can that bring? I enjoy Astrology ONLY because I believe it works, it has value to me. And you say religion should also be treated that way? that's just ridiculous.
@DeepAbsentia Ow, I should note that I took what you said in the wrong way, I thought with Astrology you ment the entire study, if you're reffering to the daily horoscopes, then that's fine to me if you don't believe it, honestly, I don't believe what the magazines say neither because it's merely based on just the 12 zodiac signs. Sry for the rant lol I just found it good to note that XD
@DeepAbsentia Scientists at Oxford University have discovered that your month of birth holds the key to future health. Professor George Ebers and Professor Russell Foster.
That's the reality not entertainment, it affects you, me and everyone.
@TheLogic1010 Yes, these Oxford Professors indeed made that study. And they also said that "this in no way proofs astrology at all" Why don´t you print the complete statement? Ah yes, cherrypicking, the number one trait of astrologers
@DeepAbsentia Religion is made up of beliefs and rituals. The word of God is not religion and it can only be understood through his Holy spirit. The languages of man are imperfect. Fairy tales and Bible stories are not the same thing.
The Bible itself is equally a fairy tale. You can't exempt Christianity from the umbrella of religion just because you're personally invested in it. You can't prove that the Bible is anything but the written work of ancient Middle Easterners.
@DeepAbsentia i agree. i don't believe in supernatural and superstitious crap. The "soul" is no more different than saying "demonic forces" resides in a person who sneezes. religion is bullshit. it has no place in a modern society.
@DeepAbsentia "Enjoy the fantasies, the fun and the stories. But make sure there is a clear, sharp line drawn on the floor. To do otherwise, would be to embrace madness". - James Randi
Just like the weather department predicts the climate by already gathered data of many years, Astrologers predict future using data gathered by mankind watching the sky for thousands of years. Almost all the astrology techniques are directly or indirectly from civilizations which are thousands of years old. Everything repeats itself, including time. With perfect data and calculation, similar to weather prediction, astrology can become very useful, it even can predict the Climate.
@DeepAbsentia I really hate it when people trash things for being "illogical," when most of the time others just enjoy the things for their aesthetic. And you're right, religion should be treated that way, but Evangelism shouldn't.
in essence anyone who chooses to live their life by reading the horoscope section of a magazine, immediately loses all credibility. To think that the movement of mars has any effect on you wether for love, money or success is completely mystical. I put it up there with every other dogmatic religion which relies soley on faith.
And what is all this "believing" and "converting"...? Astrology is not a religion. And it can be a predictive tool. You have to study the advanced progressions and transits feature. It's all math. What I have found is that you cannot predict WHAT may happen, but approximately WHEN.
Liz loved to cook and used to copy excellent restaurant meals and surpassed the chefs' skills. She was a dynamo in the kitchen. My dad was exactly that too. He even ran a restaurant biz for 2 years. Liz loved to gamble and was almost always lucky at the race track. My dad loves to gamble. But he would break out even. What I am saying is there ARE some very similar traits of people born the same month day year. They don't have to mirror each other.
I love Carl Sagan. And I enjoy his cynical remarks on the subject. Notice how, at the beginning, he only highlights the negative traits of the planets deemed by astrologers. But there are positves he left out. Notice how he mentions twins. This is a favorite of most cynics. My dad and elizabeth montgomery were both born the same month, day, and year. He is still alive and she is gone.
One thing I ask a woman on a date is "do you read your horoscope"? If the answer is 'yes', I know I'm dealing with someone with a low IQ, and I make plans on how to end the date as quickly and tactfully as I can.
Notice how ignoramus' that think - after no research into the subject at all - that astrology can't possibly be true, just happen to be the same fucktards that use pedo-cult insults such as 'wired to the Moon'...
'not above'?! 'abuse'?! - whoever thinks like that is a stuck-up out of touch freaktarded loser. Oh yeah, he breathed air and ate food daily did the drug abuser.
I always love a good Carl Sagan video. Especially how the Boom-chicka-boom music comes on the minute he strides into the airport, his camel coat and burgundy turtleneck screaming sexy god of science.
@CymaticsIsBullshit - your gangstalking from that channel already failed, again, today - a few minutes ago to be precise - to give any factual info as to why you think cymatics isn't true,

@ebrobaru - you're the same child-molester as cymaticsisbullshit & you know it & jewtube knows it. You know there's plenty of normal people like me who aren't the same conspiracy of faggot liar capitalist industrialist scum like you, yet in all your 1000s of channels you always post that same lie - trying to act as if by identifying your evil it somehow lumps the whole world in along with you.
Look at my Friends, Subs and Subbers for example - are you seriously claiming I think they are you???
@ebrobaru - all that clears up is that you remain wholly unable to make any statement that goes anywhere near being accurate or truthful. Scum, you stalk people obsessively because they are correct and on the right side of what matters the most. You're the fucking freak, and the useless-eater evil parasitical satanic pedo cunt - very obviously that is what your kind are. There's nothing cunts like you can say against me.....
@ebrobaru - .....I'm not a sad worthless idiot like you are. Kill yourself, it's sad you can't see how right I am about you. Seriously, how can your cult never ever realise how fucking stupid and evil you are? How is that possible? How is it possible for scum like you to exist and not feel how right I am about you, and be able to keep trying to contradict it? Just stop. You're wrong, I'm not, that's how it is. You picked to be evil, it's all your own fault, don't try to complain.
@ebrobaru - you aren't from Mexico like your channel says, you useless piece of shit. If you were then you'd be sane like the rest of your country and know that things like ONVIs are real.
btw cunt, where is that video I saw you at the other day, where you were being slapped by someone else besides me cause you were whining like the bitchfest you are, railing against some truth about UFOs as you go around doing your cults bidding - posting disinfo on 'paranormal' truths...
@DracOverLordHaton Wow, you need help, fast!! You are right, I am not from Mexico I am from the Pleiades, and I come here to abduct you and others as stupid as you, so you stop wasting space on Earth
@ebrobaru - no you're a fat retarded faggot, that goes around the internet looking for anyone that supports important sane things that are nice, so you can corrupt and harm them as much as possible, cause like all scum who sold their soul to satan, you have to keep being evil cause otherwise you'd have to repent and begin to acknowledge all the evil you have done, and are still doing.
You're the waste of space, your comments / mentality on this video alone prove that 100%. No contest.
@ebrobaru - scumfuck, you cunts still haven't learned anything have you. You think even if you turn out ot be the aliens you claim that it means you mean fuck all, well think again. Cause sane people like me know all about you scum before we ever went online and saw you infecting the web the same way you infected this timeline / reality about 5000 years ago. You're tiny-minded losers that mix your own genes with others creations, cause you are sicko enslaver freaks.
@ebrobaru - in terms of aliens, scum like you are the same as if a human with a medical degree went and sat in on first aid classes pretending they weren't a medical doctor, just so they could say abusive things to the others in the class as if they are superior to them.
Amoung other doctors they are nothing - same way you are nothing but sad bullies that misuse technology to make beings much smaller than you think you are gods.
@ebrobaru - you aren't fucking clever enough to use a laser without burning your own eyes out. It's probably why you're so dumb and you act like you don't know it - it comes from fucking about with alien tech you have no comprehension of.
@ebrobaru - you're that fucktarded you'd probably send humans plans to build a fucking stationary thing that does fuck-all like in Contact, except leave people with the nagging possibility that their dad was an alien or some useless fake shit like that. When it's all just part of your Hinckely obsessive stalking anyway.
@ebrobaru - It's me, I'm my leader. You're fucked. Or I'll take you back in time and leave you with Dubya, 'here, this is our global leader'.......it'll take you aeons to figure out that the governments here are rigged by humans copying your dumbass ideas from way back. "Oh,are we meant to be fascists now" - No Change Whatsoever, carry on regardless....we don't listen to you anyway.
@ebrobaru - explain why cunt. You're the sad piece of shit and I've given plenty of fucking easy to understand reasons for way that is way more than obvious.
Where's your fucking reasons for how anything you claim about me is near true? Nowhere, cause you don't have any. You just attack people cause they side with the right things. If you were normal you'd already agree with the same things as me. Kill yourself scum.
@ebrobaru - who told you it's ok to go around bad-mouthing things that are true? Why did you believe them when they claimed you won't go to hell for being that way - did they show you some fake after-death scenes, and you thought they were real, so you thought 'ha I'll just be evil and nothing will ever happen to me'..??
@ebrobaru - I wish you were in Mexico, then I could more easily engage other asepcts of myself and gun you down and make it look like it's just another drug war (all caused by evil Prohibitionist USA government policies all along JUST SO THAT'S UNDERSTOOD AND CLEAR). And it wouldn't even matter if you got any off first cause I'd just reincarnate-ish and keep coming after you until you were dead.
@ebrobaru - you still haven't felt the truth of how fucked up you are to post such dire talentless shit?! What the fuck will it take for you to realise you are the sort of person who should never communicate with others?
@Ryansax1983 - faggot it isn't trivial, you are just incredibly fucking retarded and completely unable to accept the truths of how stupid and evil you are, and then act accordingly, eg - kill yourself.
You know how un-calm your gangstalking pedo-cult is to have all the channels it does to begin with, and to post the lies you do on so many important topics. You lying useless-eater cunt, don't fucking bother trying to paint things any other way, you know I'm right about you.
@Ryansax1983 - fucktard, had people bothered to pay fucking attention to truth and utilise astrology properly, then they wouldn't have had kids on all the wrong days, so no idiots and losers would exist, so no evil shit would ever have happened because stupid bullies would never have had any power or influence. And all human society would be implemented as it is meant to have been, not how it is now. So it kinda is a really fucking big deal, you satanic liar twat.
@DracOverLordHaton Thanks for the laugh. I'm not sure which is funnier, the fact that you think that being born on a specific set of dates (as if any control over that is even possible, whether you follow astrology or not) will cure the worlds problems. Or that you are oh so pissed off about it. Relax, people have different beliefs than you do. You are starting to sound like some sort of astrological Hitler.
Astrology is women's astronomy.

@ricktbdgc if by "reference" you mean find a star in the sky...all you need to do is grab a star chart...or a beginners book for star gazing...

Astrology is early science but amazingly accurate than the present which deceives.
tjxkid 6 months ago
@tjxkid Astrology is anything BUT a science, early or late. Mankind in the beginning thought that gods were responsible for the weather, no matter that it repeated itself. That is, until science came along to explain the way nature works. That´s why astrology has been relegated to a pseudoscience, just like alchemy
ebrobaru 5 months ago
@ebrobaru You seemed to use it to imply the validity of astrology. Please explain why large rocks floating in space and orbiting our sun influence our future? Astrologers make the fallacy of counting the hits and ignoring the misses. I've read through every star sign, and each one of them could apply to me, as well as any other person. Astrology is in no way a science.

@tjxkid The tracking and recording of different stars and constellations was certainly a good thing that early astrology brought about, but the purposes it was used for, predicting futures, is not correct.

@Zeus0Moose
I think it is, may be not all. Navigation, climate change was a reason too
tjxkid 5 months ago
@tjxkid Yes but Celestial Navigation by the stars is not "astrology". It's celestial navigation. The fact that positions were known was very helpful, but it is not really astrology. Maybe a by-product, but not astrology itself. But astrology in its true form I feel is incorrect due to the lack of evidence. Absence of evidence of evidence of absence, and so I feel that an absence of correlation is highly likely, if not certain.
And not everything has a pattern. Look at pi.

I like how Sagan takes a simple, no nonsense approach to disproving astrology's validity - but then again astrology isn't based on science so why take it seriously in the first place? I certainly don't.
throbgrist 6 months ago 31
@throbgrist Sagan never disproved astrology because he doesn't know anything about astrology. Sagan's ignorance is bliss. Astrology is about knowledge not the limitations of science. You don't take it seriously because you don't have imagination. Scientists who label a subject pseudoscience base their feelings on emotion rather than science.
TheLogic1010 4 months ago
@TheLogic1010 I don't take astrology seriously because it's not science. It has nothing to do with personal creativity. Scientists label something as pseudoscience because it doesn't stand up to scientific method. In that regard, please show me evidence why astrology is valid.
throbgrist 4 months ago
@throbgrist No astrologer has ever stated that astrology was a science? So by logic astrology can't be labelled a pseudoscience. As for evidence for astrology it does exist in massive amounts. The problem is that scientists are still behaving like children with their own conclusion. Have a look at Professor Foster of Oxfortd Uni who studied career and month of birth but still denies astrological reality. Astrology is indeed valid. The conclusions/feelings of scientists are sadly not!
TheLogic1010 4 months ago
@TheLogic1010 Ok, so show me evidence. Document it. How does what position the stars are in - light-years away from us (maybe aside from gravity) affect my life here on earth?
And your comment "no astrologer has ever labelled astrology as a science so by logic it can't be labelled a pseudoscience" is an admission not an argument. Think about what you've written here. You've just refuted your own claim.

All the atoms on earth and in our bodies came from supernova that blew up over 5 billion years ago.
Aren't we all just walking, talking stardust -- this cosmos become AWAKE and looking back at itself? -- & aren't we intimately connected to it all?
We are this wonder called life become AWAKE

@TheLogic1010 THeories are exactly that, theories but they are based on facts and observations. Astrology is based on superstition and nothing more
ebrobaru 7 months ago
@ebrobaru Since there is a known relationship between the sunspots cycles and the motion of Jupiter, I think your comment about astrology being little more than superstition says more about your own ignorance than anything else.
TheLogic1010 7 months ago
@TheLogic1010 Relationship between the sunspot cycles and the motion of Jupiter? How exactly does that have to do with astrology? Please do tell
ebrobaru 7 months ago
@ebrobaru I don't think it needs explaining, if you can't see the relationship then there is no hope for you. That's why you can't see fuirther than the end of your nose. You have plenty to stay against asttrology but you can't see the significance of jupiter affecting the sun. Wise up!
TheLogic1010 7 months ago
@TheLogic1010 Yes, it would need explaining. But as usual, whenever supporters of astrology are questioned about the inner works about astrology, they just cry foul and the typical "wise up".
ebrobaru 7 months ago
@ebrobaru What does it take to open the eyes of bias, closed mind set individuals like yourself. When given good evidence you don't want to see it, even from scientific sources. Not astrologers, from your very own science. Why do you question astrology when scientists have shown it to work and have validity? If jupiter can affect the sun, why then can't it affect the earth??
TheLogic1010 7 months ago

TheLogic1010 7 months ago
@TheLogic1010 No, animal life are NOT affected by the moon. Tides are. Please explain exactly how does science is "starting to come round to the idea". Please give me the names and the studies of those Oxford Professors
ebrobaru 7 months ago
@ebrobaru Ok, before I give you the names of the Oxford professors, I need to know how you are going to take this reality? Just reading a newspaper(Daily Mail 10/6/11) UK, scientists at Oxford University have discovered that your month of birth holds the key to future health.
Professor George Ebers and Professor Russell Foster.
Obviously the 2 professors didn't have the courage to admit that this was the same message astrology has been saying.
TheLogic1010 7 months ago
@TheLogic1010 Are you kidding here? This study was done in a scientific manner. The researchers themselves said, and I quote "I am not giving voice to astrology – it’s nonsense".
ebrobaru 7 months ago
@ebrobaru So you have read the article? Are these so called scientists kidding, should be the question. To deny astrological reality because it doesn't fit in with scientific close mindedness. I'll steal astrology, paint it up as science and deny astrology. This scientific plagiarism is unacceptable? If you think it's ok, then what right do you have to question astrology?
TheLogic1010 7 months ago
@TheLogic1010 No, these scientists are not kidding. They made a scientific experiment, they showed tha causes of their conclusions. Yes, date of birth may affect your health because of Sun exposure, not the position of the planets. Geez, are you for real?
ebrobaru 7 months ago
@ebrobaru Keep burying your head in the sand, you must like it there.
TheLogic1010 7 months ago
@TheLogic1010 If you have your head in the sand does the planets still affect you?
ebrobaru 7 months ago
@ebrobaru The planets don't have an gravitional or electricalt or magnetic affect, which is lost to the material scientists. They collerate events. It wouldn't matter what evidence was presented because you would never accept the reality. For you to continue to post misleading arguments against astrology suggests there is a hidden agenda going on. Whatever your reasons, you will carry on and only convince those who want to believe your false sense of material reality.
TheLogic1010 7 months ago
@TheLogic1010 I´ll tell you what: Please present ANY evidence at all and then we can discuss it. Stop the typical nonsensical arguments that "I wont accept evidence". PRESENT the evidence first, and then we´ll see.
ebrobaru 7 months ago
@ebrobaru What is the point. you have made up your mind? Why waste my time? You can test astrology yourself but deny its reality. Its as simple as that, start with your co - workers and family. Put them to the test. If your really serious, get your own evidence instead of believing that scientists have got all the answers. Do that and then get back!
TheLogic1010 7 months ago
@TheLogic1010 Haha, why I am not surprised with your answer. Typical "search for yourself", "get your own evidence". So, when asked to present some evidence you just back out. Come on, at least put up a decent fight
ebrobaru 7 months ago
@ebrobaru Wrong my friend, I never said do an internet search. Your the big know it all, open your eyes and look at the people nearest to you. That should present all the evidence you need. When presented with valid evidence scientists start to make countless silly objections.
TheLogic1010 7 months ago
@TheLogic1010 When did I say anything about an "internet search". It seems that your celestial bodies keep failing you. Again I have to ask, WHAT VALID EVIDENCE?
ebrobaru 7 months ago
@TheLogic1010 like carl sagan said in the video. the life and fate of twins who are born in the same place at the same time is always different. that is good evidence that astrology is hogwash. look at people who are born at the same time there are many, and their lives are vastly different. i have done these tests that you say, with co-workers, friends and family and astrology always seems to be inconsistent. so what other evidence can you present?
EpicurusIVXX 7 months ago
@EpicurusIVXX I totally disagree with your views about twins. It has been shown by scientists, not astrologers that twinned who have been separated at birth and live thousands of miles apart have amazing similar life events. Scientists at Oxford University have shown the date of month has a correlation with health complaints. NASA has demostrated who venus and jupiter affect the sunspots on the sun which correlates with events on our planet. The mars effect by psychologist Michel Gauquelin.
TheLogic1010 7 months ago
@TheLogic1010 not a single study has shown that twins living far apart die on the same day or do anything that astrology might predict on the same day. the similarities in twins is ALWAYS attributed to genetics and not anything to do with the stars. can you quote the study by the scientists at Oxford so i can look it over? doing a search of your claim about sunspots comes up with nothing credible especially not from NASA. continued ->
EpicurusIVXX 7 months ago

EpicurusIVXX 7 months ago
@TheLogic1010
NASA has demonstrated no such thing. Neither Jupiter nor Venus can exert the gravitational influence required.
uktransplantedyank 6 months ago
@uktransplantedyank Whoever said it was gravitational? The sunspots activity correlates with jupiters 12 years circle.
TheLogic1010 6 months ago
@TheLogic1010
Do you have any evidence of this?
In any case, sunspots and solar flares, if influences by Venus and Jupiter, would be influenced by their gravity in much the same way that the Moon influences Earth's oceanic tides.

With perfect data and calculation, similar to weather prediction, astrology can become very useful, it even can predict the Climate.

@ebrobaru - I can't tell what that is meant to convey. As far away from normal, or yes you agree that I do make sense and you're a liar?
DracOverLordHaton 1 year ago
@DracOverLordHaton You are a freak. Is that clear enough for you?
ebrobaru 1 year ago
@ebrobaru - all that clears up is that you remain wholly unable to make any statement that goes anywhere near being accurate or truthful. Scum, you stalk people obsessively because they are correct and on the right side of what matters the most. You're the fucking freak, and the useless-eater evil parasitical satanic pedo cunt - very obviously that is what your kind are. There's nothing cunts like you can say against me.....
DracOverLordHaton 1 year ago
@ebrobaru - .....I'm not a sad worthless idiot like you are. Kill yourself, it's sad you can't see how right I am about you. Seriously, how can your cult never ever realise how fucking stupid and evil you are? How is that possible? How is it possible for scum like you to exist and not feel how right I am about you, and be able to keep trying to contradict it? Just stop. You're wrong, I'm not, that's how it is. You picked to be evil, it's all your own fault, don't try to complain.
DracOverLordHaton 1 year ago
@ebrobaru - you aren't from Mexico like your channel says, you useless piece of shit. If you were then you'd be sane like the rest of your country and know that things like ONVIs are real.
btw cunt, where is that video I saw you at the other day, where you were being slapped by someone else besides me cause you were whining like the bitchfest you are, railing against some truth about UFOs as you go around doing your cults bidding - posting disinfo on 'paranormal' truths...
DracOverLordHaton 1 year ago
@DracOverLordHaton Wow, you need help, fast!! You are right, I am not from Mexico I am from the Pleiades, and I come here to abduct you and others as stupid as you, so you stop wasting space on Earth
ebrobaru 1 year ago
@ebrobaru - no you're a fat retarded faggot, that goes around the internet looking for anyone that supports important sane things that are nice, so you can corrupt and harm them as much as possible, cause like all scum who sold their soul to satan, you have to keep being evil cause otherwise you'd have to repent and begin to acknowledge all the evil you have done, and are still doing.
You're the waste of space, your comments / mentality on this video alone prove that 100%. No contest.
DracOverLordHaton 1 year ago
@ebrobaru - scumfuck, you cunts still haven't learned anything have you. You think even if you turn out ot be the aliens you claim that it means you mean fuck all, well think again. Cause sane people like me know all about you scum before we ever went online and saw you infecting the web the same way you infected this timeline / reality about 5000 years ago. You're tiny-minded losers that mix your own genes with others creations, cause you are sicko enslaver freaks.
DracOverLordHaton 1 year ago
@ebrobaru - in terms of aliens, scum like you are the same as if a human with a medical degree went and sat in on first aid classes pretending they weren't a medical doctor, just so they could say abusive things to the others in the class as if they are superior to them.
Amoung other doctors they are nothing - same way you are nothing but sad bullies that misuse technology to make beings much smaller than you think you are gods.
DracOverLordHaton 1 year ago
@DracOverLordHaton You better go into hiding or I will disintegrate you with my laser
ebrobaru 1 year ago
@ebrobaru - you aren't fucking clever enough to use a laser without burning your own eyes out. It's probably why you're so dumb and you act like you don't know it - it comes from fucking about with alien tech you have no comprehension of.
DracOverLordHaton 1 year ago
@ebrobaru - you're that fucktarded you'd probably send humans plans to build a fucking stationary thing that does fuck-all like in Contact, except leave people with the nagging possibility that their dad was an alien or some useless fake shit like that. When it's all just part of your Hinckely obsessive stalking anyway.

@DracOverLordHaton Take me to your leader earthling
ebrobaru 1 year ago
@ebrobaru - It's me, I'm my leader. You're fucked. Or I'll take you back in time and leave you with Dubya, 'here, this is our global leader'.......it'll take you aeons to figure out that the governments here are rigged by humans copying your dumbass ideas from way back. "Oh,are we meant to be fascists now" - No Change Whatsoever, carry on regardless....we don't listen to you anyway.
DracOverLordHaton 1 year ago
@DracOverLordHaton Haha, dude, you need help. Fast
ebrobaru 1 year ago
@ebrobaru - explain why cunt. You're the sad piece of shit and I've given plenty of fucking easy to understand reasons for way that is way more than obvious.
Where's your fucking reasons for how anything you claim about me is near true? Nowhere, cause you don't have any. You just attack people cause they side with the right things. If you were normal you'd already agree with the same things as me. Kill yourself scum.
DracOverLordHaton 1 year ago
@ebrobaru - who told you it's ok to go around bad-mouthing things that are true? Why did you believe them when they claimed you won't go to hell for being that way - did they show you some fake after-death scenes, and you thought they were real, so you thought 'ha I'll just be evil and nothing will ever happen to me'..??
DuffBeerDragon 1 year ago
@ebrobaru - I wish you were in Mexico, then I could more easily engage other asepcts of myself and gun you down and make it look like it's just another drug war (all caused by evil Prohibitionist USA government policies all along JUST SO THAT'S UNDERSTOOD AND CLEAR). And it wouldn't even matter if you got any off first cause I'd just reincarnate-ish and keep coming after you until you were dead.
DracOverLordHaton 1 year ago
@DracOverLordHaton I´ve heard that in the US there are some nice psychiatric hospitals. Maybe you should visit some to ge t acquainted
ebrobaru 1 year ago
@ebrobaru - you still haven't felt the truth of how fucked up you are to post such dire talentless shit?! What the fuck will it take for you to realise you are the sort of person who should never communicate with others?
DracOverLordHaton 1 year ago
@DracOverLordHaton Relax friend, you have been posting aggressive and vitriolic comments on a trivial matter for over two months. Calm down.
Ryansax1983 1 year ago
@Ryansax1983 - faggot it isn't trivial, you are just incredibly fucking retarded and completely unable to accept the truths of how stupid and evil you are, and then act accordingly, eg - kill yourself.
You know how un-calm your gangstalking pedo-cult is to have all the channels it does to begin with, and to post the lies you do on so many important topics. You lying useless-eater cunt, don't fucking bother trying to paint things any other way, you know I'm right about you.
DracOverLordHaton 1 year ago
@Ryansax1983 - fucktard, had people bothered to pay fucking attention to truth and utilise astrology properly, then they wouldn't have had kids on all the wrong days, so no idiots and losers would exist, so no evil shit would ever have happened because stupid bullies would never have had any power or influence. And all human society would be implemented as it is meant to have been, not how it is now. So it kinda is a really fucking big deal, you satanic liar twat.
DracOverLordHaton 1 year ago
@DracOverLordHaton Thanks for the laugh. I'm not sure which is funnier, the fact that you think that being born on a specific set of dates (as if any control over that is even possible, whether you follow astrology or not) will cure the worlds problems. Or that you are oh so pissed off about it. Relax, people have different beliefs than you do. You are starting to sound like some sort of astrological Hitler.
