There are many doll companies especially in China and Korea that sell heads and full dolls. I have a link list on my website bjdcollectasy of companies and BJD -related businesses. Try looking there for a start.
Do you not usually do eyebrows for you're faceups? I noticed you don't use paints or watercolor pencils at all and I was wondering if that is a personal choice or something requested of you.
I usually do eyebrows, but I didn't put them on the Christoper heads as I didn't want blue ones for the Snow Queen. Also I wanted her to look a bit like Queen Elizabeth I since I knew she was going to wear a big ruff. The Impstars have long bodies and smaller heads and remind me of the measurements often used by artists historically to paint nobility (smaller heads, longer bodies, more imposing). The reason I didn't put eyebrows on the other head is that I wanted them to match for the demo.
@BJDcollectasy Oh okay. In that case what shades of blue would you have used if you were going to give her eyebrows? You see for our second year anniversary my boyfriend is getting me a Bobobie Song and I want to paint him as a sort of "water sprite" since he is so much smaller than the rest of my collection. I love the soft look on the Ice Queen but I want him to have eyebrows
Well, it depends on the sculpt and the specific colors I selected, but I would probably draw eyebrow hair in a darker blue over a choice of one of the blues I used on the face (probably one of the darker ones if not the darkest.) For a younger face, I would tend to keep the brows lighter and less defined than I would an adult doll.
Thank you for post this video!!! I think that I try to make it on my elf that I have buyed when he it's to home!! It will be my first face-up! P.S. I love your BJDCollectasy web site!!!
I want the gray one too! If I am able to get one, I will have to do a 'Dark" Christoper to go with my pale 'light" Christoper! Her ears are really nice. She would be good for a mermaid too.
The resin quality is first rate. The seam lines are removed. She poses well, though I wish there was a hip joint. She is not double jointed, though. The hands are lovely. You will see my full doll when the next part of the project is done. An Impldoll wouldn't be a bad first doll.
oh!sorry for this being soo late!i just notced now that you said she "wouldn't "be a bad first doll!i thought you said she would be a bad first doll!I'm soo braind dead sometimes!sorry!^__^

I am confused by the wording of your question. The doll head comes bald. You can buy or make wigs for the doll to wear.

Greetings, Love you work. Thank you for making this and sharing it. I would like to know where I might buy the resin heads. I have never seen them.
Blessings,
Ms. Judy

You can use a few other brands. I myself have used Model Masters and Testors flat spray lacquer. Volks sells ZM UV cut.
