  • Socialism was an "ism" like many other "ism" was sent by Satan to confuse the people. It is a false copy of the Word of God. Yes it is true that Jesus condemned the love of wealth and commanded his followers to help the poor, the sick and children and to teach the people about him. It is because the PEOPLE have FAILED to do that is why government DOES. The PEOPLE are lazy or greedy or self serving and they let government do their job for them.

  • Two words: Social Gospel. Walter Rauschenbusch outlines an amazing few of how the christian faith ought to take a more liberal path. Even demonstrates how God and Jesus would condemn money.

  • Mattera, I can't get enough of you man. You're such an idiot. once again i will state if this guy was in Europe at a rally and asking a protester something like this he would gotten his ass kicked. Such an inconsiderate punk...and not a real journalist/or academic/or reporter. Apply to FOX News please!

  • Morals and Economic Beliefs are two different things. people are stupid.

  • "promote the general welfare"

  • @joshuancts BY FREEDOM -- NOT FORCE.

    ENTITLEMENTS DON'T PROMOTE FREEDOM!

  • i agree that jesus was a socialist. And those christians that dont agree should reed something that is called "a bible". I hope you know that is a book that Christianity is based on. It tells about Jesus and shit. Just saying, if there are anyone who doesnt know. Its kinda obvious. And especially christian people should know about it. um... thats all i wanted to say... and yeah, if you want to search on wikipedia it is spelled "B-I-B-L-E", or just ask your pastor or smthn,i meen your a christian

  • Mattera you are a smart ass punk, but a dumb punk at that. But oh, I forgot you are fighting the war on the homefront. Like the "battle" you engaged in with this woman. Are you proud of yourself? You were in great danger, not from a roadside bomb or a round to your brain you cretin, but from tripping over yourself while harassing the lady. Tough guy you are Jason. YOU mister are in fact a great big chicken hawk. Look up the word in Websters, you'll find your mugshot there.

  • And the pilgrims socialist community endeavor didn't turn out so hot. that's why they almost all starved. no incentive to work hard when someone else might do it for you. next year they had thanksgiving after they were all charged with making sure they all grew enough for themselves by themselves. no sharing. they did much better that winter by far.

  • continued from previous.....

a father helps his child with a science project out of loving compassion. this does extend outside of a family unit but it involves a real relationship. it's not something you have with a person you just met. So in turn be open to it with everyone you meet, but just because a homeless man asks for a dollar don't tell me you gave it to him out of compassion. you did it so you wouldn't feel bad inside later, or so you would feel better about yourself.

  • the thing that drives many christians to become socialists is guilt. Guilt that they are not fulfilling their indoctrinated duty as a christian if they do not help others. News flash. Jesus preached about compassion. compassion is when one gives of themselves expecting nothing on any level(physical, psycological, emotional) in return. This commonly occurs in the family. The wife makes her husband dinner out of loving compassion.

  • @carlmelanson1 This the same God that rained fire and brimstone on Sodom and Gomorrah right? Maybe you should read up a little more on Jesus before you make such assumptions?

  • @EmperorBarbarosa So the army that I PAY for to protect your right to talk bullshit is because I was born stupid? I think it is you who was born stupid.

  • @EmperorBarbarosa that and it's proven that it doesn't work. how many times do socialists need to burn themselves before they stop touching the hot pan?

  • @EmperorBarbarosa

"We have the longest average lifespan"

Sounds like a guy with his facts straight. (sarcasm)

  • @EmperorBarbarosa

It's funny - you yell at someone for being from Austria and offering his criticism of the United States, AND THEN, you decide that you are perfectly qualified to offer your criticism of Austria (it being bankrupt and having bad medical care you say). That's hypocrisy sir.

Beyond that, have you actually looked at the life expectancy statistics? The United States is 38th in the world, Austria is actually 16th.

  • @EmperorBarbarosa Fine. Never drive on a street ever again. Socialism built the road you drive on.

  • @thedocumentarian it could have just as easily been done by the free market as many are being built and run today that way. in fact i drive down a private tollway to go most places thank you. it never has traffic problems.

  • @thedocumentarian Ummm... no that is not socialism dummy.

  • @bujin21 That IS socialism you dumb fuck. The army isn't run in a free market environment and is paid by taxpayer money. If you have taxpayers paying for something government run...socialism...public ownership.

  • Jesus told the people to give to the poor. The U.S. is a government by and for the people, the government is not separate from "the people" in the way it was for Jews under the Romans. Do we have to let the government continue to be laissez-faire about money (like Pilate washing his hands) in order to remain proper Christians? Mattera is an asshole capitalizing on our country's polarization, just like Glenn Beck. The truth is neither system works exclusively on its own terms.

  • @theseanze outside of property rights and maintaining general order the free market works perfectly well on it's own.

  • @jubeikiba6 -- I think socialists would agree. The free market works perfectly well, it's an endless game that reinforces itself to keep moving like a well-oiled machine. The problem is in this system the market works like an end in itself, and while business does well for itself that says nothing for the people it leaves behind in the dirt, or the way it encourages ignorant tunnel vision on only direct problems and not long-term, abstract, and/or social issues.

  • @theseanze the thing is that it's not a businesses job to do those things. however the well oiled machine is constantly being retrofitted to ideally never stop. but social issues as you call them could be better handled by private charity. basically businesses whos objective is to work for a cause who only work when they are successful because they are based on contribution because people know they work. if a socialist government messes up they just print money or raise taxes. no reprecussions.

  • @jubeikiba6 -- Again, there are expectations of success you're talking about, and social theory often offends those who have the funds. I'm not even saying it's feasible in today's economic climate and energy system, but I'm just continually surprised when people don't even see it as a lofty ideal--and it doesn't have to be exclusive like the twisted soviets. The problem with charity is it isn't reliable, which is much of the rationale for healthcare being there always for everyone.

  • @theseanze if a charity isn't reliable it goes under, and if it was a cause important to a large enough group of people another one will rise from the ashes and likely function better. if government messes up it goes into a deficit and can afford to be disfunctional under it's own tax and money printing safety net. they have no incentive to perform well because there is no consequence. sorry to tell you that I am a poor college student and I hate the words "greater good."

  • @jubeikiba6 -- I'm a poor college student too, and I get sick of the blinders my professors and future employers have developed based on what is immediately relevant to their company image and job description. I wasnt criticizing charity as a business, but its reliability in that if it goes under (or chooses not to support certain kinds of people) then its benefactors are left cold. Think of the problems w/ Rand Paul's insistence that shop-owners be granted the right to discriminate customers.

  • @theseanze and the twisted soviets...hmmm....why does every progressive think "oh well that was an exception...socialism does not work!!! its a done deal it has been proven over and over in many locations across the globe. What has not been tried is a true free market approach. we don't have one right now just to let you know if you didn't. government hands off capitalism breeds the most prosperity for all.

  • @jubeikiba6 -- If you pay attention to what was going on in those regimes, they were overly optimistic and hastily put into practice as the outcome of revolutions. In concept, it is another gov't "by and for the people," but obviously the Soviet Union did not follow this. Just the same, we could say democracy (as Nietzsche said) breeds tyrants, that it allows the majority to oppress minorities, but the level of citizen dialog is what's key. Total free market seems exemplified by evolution

  • @theseanze so im not against helping people, but private charity can do it so much better than the government because if they fail they go out of business. people would likely contribute to these charities more often as well if taxes were even lower. I know I would.

  • @jubeikiba6 With the money Bush blew to invade and occupy Iraq & Afghanistan for all these years we could have provided health care to all our citizens for 1,000 yrs.

  • @Loejyrrab I don't support the war in Iraq. I'm a libertarian. the point is I don't believe in wealth redistribution. government has good intentions. especially socialist governments preaching about the collective interest, but it simply doesn't work. it goes against human nature. The only collective effort that works is in the family unit because we actually care about those people. this extends outside my family to a certain few people including close friends. outside of that it doesn't work.

  • @EmperorBarbarosa 1. No because people are getting booted out of hospitals because they have no insurance and then they die you dumbass! 2. What a load of bullshit. Your country isn´t bankrupt. That´s what fox and alex jones and all this other fearmongers are reporting. Youre just brainwashed by those idiots and the only winners are the insurance companys.

  • @EmperorBarbarosa What force? Paying 2-5 $ Dollars more to help sick people? Is this so extremly brutal for you? I live in austria we have health care and WE DON´T let people dying on the streets because of your greeds. This is insanse! So much hypocrits out there brainwashed by fox news.

  • @EmperorBarbarosa yeah so you calling jesus stupid because he wanted that people help the poor? fuck off

  • JA JA JA.... I don't know what kind of accent Mattera was trying to impersonate (maybe a California Hippie accent), but he didn't succeed!!!! Even trying so hard he stills sounds like a Brooklyn native!!!

Good work Mattera, hopefully this kind of videos will help the confused to understand how wrong they are by supporting such communist ideas.

  • @EmperorBarbarosa Wow, so i left out some commas and didn't capitalize a few words and you nailed me for it. Good one!!!! Way to go!!!!

  • @EmperorBarbarosa I'm gonna send you a personal message because i can't answer your stupidity in 500 characters.

  • @EmperorBarbarosa Socialists don't want gov't to be mommy daddy and god, they just want protections from getting fucked over. they want a certain standard of life that everyone can expect to have. Someday you'll get fucked over and maybe then you'll see it from the other side.

  • @EmperorBarbarosa Did you ever realize that the very essence and driving motor of capitalism is a direct violation of one of the 10 commandments? Thou shalt not covet. Coveting is what drives capitalism no question. It amuses and frustrates me no end to listen to christians confusing their religious and economic world views so much. When they attach socialism and in the same breath whine because people try to take 10 commandments down from public property.

  • @bweber88 Capitalism = coveting?? I think it is you who is confused about your religion sir.

  • @bujin21 Seriously?!?! The predominant motive behind successful capitalist ventures is to make money so you can get the things other people have that you want. That's called coveting! It is that motive that works best. Haven't you ever read Ayn Rand. She's probably the most influential free-market, capitalist thinker of the last 100 years, and there's a reason why she's an atheist.

  • I wish this asshole would ask me.

  • Where does the Constitution authorize the government to spend money on social welfare? How about "We the People of the United States of America do ordain and establish this Constitution ... to promote the general welfare"!

    This socialist lady schooled you.

  • @mcearlgrey As if that quote from the Constitution was talking about socialism. (rolls eyes) Maybe you need to go back to school, eh?

  • @bujin21 I think you need to shut up and read the constitution yourself because you keep talking out of your ass.

  • i cant find those jeans anywhere. those are nice!!

  • What an annoying chickenhawk. Is Mattera a Jew? Does he know nothing about Jesus? Of course he was a socialist.

  • @MEpianist Actually, socialism relies on violent extraction of peoples property for re-distribution. Why do you pay taxes? Out of love or compassion, or out of the fear of imprisonment and penalties? Jesus advocated voulentary contibution, not intervention by a state power with a monopoly on the initiation of force. Socialism is statism, and that has nothing to do with Jesus. The gov't has nothing to give without first taking it by force with threats of violence. The gov't is a guy with a gun.

  • @floridawaterfronttv Save your "violent redistribution" rant for impressionable Randroids, ask the Swede or the Canadian medicare participant how much blood he has on his hands. Jesus advocated a very anti-wealth message, and while I agree he didn't advocate for a communist coup, you're suffering clearly from the historical bias - viewing that period with our political views. He was living under occupation so we don't really know his position on health care. And your guy with a gun = Beck-fan

  • @MEpianist Jesus was not anti-wealth. Where do you people come up with this crap?

  • Hilarity ensues-Mr Mattera yet again tries to play Progressives for fools and for his trouble all he gets is how completely foolish he himself looks.

This video-of this sweet lady nicely talking to you a "liberal Christian" is the perfect counterpoint to the hate filled spittle chinned tea partiers "conservative Christians". Thanks for posting-I'm going to share in with all my friends.

  • Gotta love how you mention the abortion issue & Christians and you cut from that scene. Why not continue it? To show exactly how crazy the fringe Christian conservatives are?

How can you mandate the gov't, what Jesus told the Christians to do?

Well Mattera, you found yourself in a dichotomy, ask them why they're imposing THEIR beliefs ONTO the gov't then.

Why do they flip out when people mention there should be a separation of church and state? You need to think things through J. lol

  • @jcub33 The fringe liberals are just as big of lunatics.

  • You sir are a douchebag.....

  • Aww, this is so mean :[ Collectivists operate from feelings instead of critical thought, so it's way too easy to lead them into logical pits. It's like teasing a retard.

  • Great vid! it's christians like these that make me glad i'm an atheist.

  • Catholics believed till the birth of protestants that greed in capitalism was bad. We call that the dark ages. After that, society really took off.

And the constitution provides for defense, from the start, tax money was going to the defense. It doesn't say anything about health care. If she wants her money going towards other peoples health care, she could always donate to charity.

  • A permit to walk in the middle of nowhere, LOL!!!!

  • i would argue that capitalism is the only thing which has increased the standard of living of poor people over the last century...

  • @phoenigroupmi that may be true, but that doesn't mean it gels with christianity and jesus' teaching

  • @phoenigroupmi SEE NOW HOW THE CAPITALISM DETROYED THE MIDDLE CLASS IN HERE IN AMERICA, CAPITALISM FAILED

  • "It's my money too..."

    ?!? How?!?

And what the heck do guns and bombs have to do with capitalism? It's not like communists don't spend on the military lol...

  • when the government takes my money isn't that stealing?

    Well Yes and No

    That's fucking hysterical

  • I bet if THESE Christians lobbied the government and allied themselves with ACORN and other bottom-dwelling organizations, suddenly the Leftists wouldn't be so strong with their perversion of "Separation of Church and State."

  • Funny as always Jason... I think you're enjoying this too much.

  • HA-Sone, why are we getting all of these old videos a year after the event?

  • These libaturds need to lay off the reefer.. Just sayin..

  • love the vid...

i think it's funny that all the related videos are for Jason Voorhees lol

  • Cool
