@Hanniboom Okay the U.S. imports about 58% of its oil based products. and about 49% of that is made either Canada, Mexico, or the Caribbean. the U.S. imports about 16% of its oil from the Persian gulf. so oil in the middle east doesn't really effect the U.S. consumer oil prices. and if anything the U.S. military in the the middle east protect's oil prices from going higher for European Countries by providing greater stability by protecting oil rigs and its workers.

If oil was sold cheap in Canada, it would be bought there and resold in the US or Europe or wherever prices are higher. Transporting oil is cheap and it's a global market.

The cost of gas is pretty much the same all over the world. The cause for different prices in different countries is mostly taxation and maybe in some cases monopolistic or oligopolistic market structures.

In sweden and germany it takes me 30. All the good shops in europe are also 30 minutes away whilst in the US no matter where I was there was a large shop or mall within 5 minutes of where I lived. I fucking loved the US. Just because the countries are smaller in Europe does not mean everything is closer together.
