When you practice musical pieces, the movement of your hands is stored in muscle memory, which is also the reason it's even possible to play without a note sheet. For my part, I can even have some trouble remembering what to play when I'm using only one hand because I'm so used to play with both.

@lleksikon never learned to play piano but,make a great point,specially if u think of it like typing,both hands are doing something different cause ur not trying to command them.If ur trying to make 2 different tapping noises on a table in different beats tho that can be a bit difficult not to eventually do the same thing with both hands at least once.Practice though,im sure is what helps people get used to that,until i ever start playing if i do,ill just be amazed at other peoples talents lol
