wich kind of notes uses that isntrument, western notation or eastern? I think the sound is not much likely to be the original sound isnce most of the asiatic instrument have a different sound , but maybe is the composition,
Pretty good. Thank you for all your videos as I've been perusing several of your videos. You get right down to play and no talking which is GREAT as some others love to hear their own voices. But nut you don't do that and you're very good.
I'm of Sephardic decent and was wondering if you could assist with music search. Thank you for your endeavors. HaShalom aleichem.
Nice job! As for your recording, don't worry yourself to death over it -- you're about pushing the envelope of how much you can do with what you have as it is. Just record the thing already and get it into the hands of your adoring fans. :)
Thanks! The increasingly ever elusive FINAL final master disc of my album is tantilizingly close...all 22 tracks have been recorded(after being re-recorded about 22 times each!) - all I need to do next week, is to trim all the unwanted sub bass...the studio mics dutifully picked up the somewhat unsubtle "humpback whale-like" rumble of a few lorries reversing into the adjacent car park during my last session - if ONLY humbucking pickups had been around in King David's time!!;o)
While you're at it, how about looking at the "Lyraxtime" channel (Hong Kong)? I just left a comment under the "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" video (there are several other such videos). I've always wondered how the lyre she plays (made by a German luthier) sounds. It's gorgeous!
it is interesting to me that so little fanfare surrounds the major re-discovery of the musical notation of the Tanakh, in the Massoretic text of it. One more component of the Temple worship restored! I wonder why that is? I'm ecstatic about it myself! And you are such a blessing in your gift of talent and bringing long silenced music into our ears, incredible!
When it first came out (1976 and onward), there WAS much fanfare (see the Appendices on my main Web site). But 1) it was first published in French and much is still available only in French; 2) it flies in the face of how most rabbis, Hebraists and Masoretic specialists view the accents; 3) much of the late SHV's material is out of print; 4) "publish or perish" affects me too, and I have been able to publish little since the 1990's. I am trying to change that! :)
